Chapter 305: Chapter 196: A Brand New Discovery (Part 1)_1

“`

For this new DLC, Fang Cheng was quite prepared.

It looked like a simple ga of equivalent exchange, but the danger involved was greater than imagined; every item, though appearing ordinary, seed to be a powerful weapon, with the potential for the mightiest Starburst.

Being able to use microwaves with massive radiation was just one example, and each item could potentially have a detrintal impact on this galaxy, so caution was necessary.

To facilitate better experintation (or dying) for the players, Fang Cheng thoughtfully detached the research ship equipped with a railgun from Songta Planet, replicated several more, and set the ships to refresh automatically.

To prevent the players’ experints from affecting the surroundings, these research ships were isolated in their own space, with all the surrounding Heavenly Dao Laws cordoned off, to minimize losses.

That way, even if the players blew up the research ship or destroyed the nearby galaxy, there would still be a way to restore everything, so the whole world wouldn’t turn into a giant firework.

Upon seeing this, the players also expressed that this could be very interesting.

Based on previously disclosed information, the lab was simply about tossing items into the railgun and then waiting for the results.

Since each attempt required a particularly large number of items, collective action from the players was needed because one player alone would be too inefficient, potentially only reaping one item per year.

The players could describe the items produced by the railgun with just one word.

That word was weird.

These items completely defied the principles of physics, and even math didn’t apply here; their main draw was plain oddity.

The Morals Aid Group, led by Xien Waidao and hundreds of excited squirrels, also acquired a railgun and eagerly watched the unfolding black hole before them.

The black hole had yet to fully open, but they couldn’t wait any longer.

These squirrels rushed in, scrambling over each other, leaving the nearby scientific squirrels gaping in astonishnt.

O Heavenly Lord above, are the followers of Heavenly Lord so audacious?

Even though you’re immortal, you don’t have to be so reckless, do you?

What if you get stuck in there and can’t get in or out, then what?

Sure enough, these squirrels got stuck and couldn’t leave.

According to their description, everything inside was dark and seemingly endless, with no clue as to where it might lead; they were just stuck there, unable to make their way out.

But no worries, they were prepared.

Just delete the account and restart.

After all, now that they have Passport World, they could just transfer their in-ga items there once, completely unaffected.

Although everything seed unchanged to the players, to the scientists, these squirrels were like returning from the dead, venturing into the railgun and coming back unhard as if nothing had happened, not quite super squirrels but close enough.

Discovering that delving into it wasn’t fun, these fun-loving squirrels began excitedly experinting with other thods.

Among the player base teeming with chaos, one mouse looked particularly bewildered.

Upon hearing of the new DLC, Liuzi had just logged in when Xien Waidao forcefully recruited him into the “Morals Aid Group” and then dragged him onto the research ship, where, along with other toys, he started researching the railgun.

Among a crowd of lunatics, he felt like a month-old baby, pitiable and helpless.

Coming back to his senses, he found Xien Waidao, grabbed the fur on his chest, and angrily asked, “What are you trying to do by dragging into your crazy group?”

Xien Waidao looked at Liuzi with surprise: “Have you forgotten you’re crazy too?”

“When was I ever crazy?”

“See, you’ve already forgotten.”

Letting go, Liuzi felt he could no longer communicate with the other.

He had not wanted to bother with these people, but soone noticed his ID, highlighted in green above his head, and imdiately approached him.

One player scrutinized the ID, then, taking Liuzi’s little paw, said, “Are you the one who created the capitalist gaplay in ‘I Am The Director’?”

“Let’s not talk about that dark history.”

“How could it be dark history? It’s a marvel of electronic exploitation and provided a model for later cyber-capitalism. To be honest, I’m a fan. Inspired by your gaplay, I created the ‘Hell Mode’ gaplay where every worker under lives a fate worse than death, and I wring every last bit of juice out of them.”

Liuzi gazed at the player in amazent, unaware that there could be any gaplay more sinister and utterly devoid of conscience.

And after seeing what the other shared, Liuzi felt that his own conscience had limited his play, preventing him from being unrivaled on the path of the wicked.

Looking at the other group mbers, Liuzi realized they all hid under adorable squirrel exteriors, speaking heartless words.

Each and every one was so soulless they could go to hell without injustice, demons would greet them with respect, and even the Buddha would turn and run—their key trait being utterly maniacal.

Though the group’s na contained “morals,” what they did had absolutely nothing to do with morality.

So why, in the na of goodness, would I, Liuzi, be involved with these eccentrics?

He had the urge to leave, but looking at the colossal black hole on the wall, he resolved to stay.

After all, he had played less of the ga recently, spending his days logged into Passport World, lying on a lounger on the balcony, idly gazing at the scenery outside like a layabout, wasting each day away.

The only thing that set him apart from a layabout was the one billion in his bank account.
