Chapter 237: Chapter 159 Compensation Issue (First Update)_2

Accepting the challenge of civilization is the duty of the gods, especially when the opponent has broken through layers of blockades to finally arrive here, a persistence that deserves recognition.

No matter the reasons they have for launching this challenge, the gods must accept it.

Lady Tragedy’s physical form stretched for hundreds of kiloters, a colossal entity in front of a regular spaceship, but before the one thousand three hundred kiloters in diater of the Star of Destruction, she seed sowhat tiny.

Ten Stars of Destruction orbited Lady Tragedy, her face of terror clear for all the players to see, resembling the sweet indulgence before the act of revenge that brought satisfied smiles to their faces.

Finding herself scrutinized as a loser, Lady Tragedy’s fury rose, ultimately overtaking her fear of the Stars of Destruction.

Drawing her Divine Artifact, she faced the ten enormous entities and shouted fiercely, “I am Lady Tragedy, a god, and I accept your challenge!”

“Challenge my ass! We already said it’s revenge! Do you even understand the situation at all!”

Xien Waidao was the first to make a move, his force field began gathering unceasingly, condensing to the limit like a clenched fist, violently landing on Lady Tragedy’s abdon.

The speed of the punch was unimaginably fast; though it seed just a regular punch, it included the precise calculations of Alpha, combined with the controls of many players and Squirrel Drivers.

Just this punch alone could turn a planet to dust, obliterate civilizations, and Lady Tragedy, not adept at combat, took the solid punch, spewing out a myriad of Laws from within her being.

She wanted to strike back, but another Star of Destruction flew towards her, delivering another punch that sent her flying.

Invisible force fields captured her, dragged her back to her original position, and the beating continued.

The accumulated anger of the players finally found its release today, each one eagerly awaiting their turn to coin up, to rcilessly puml Lady Tragedy.

Due to the overwhelming number of players wanting to beat Lady Tragedy, they set up their own rule, each person could only participate for five minutes, then imdiately had to step down for the next.

Today, every player had their fill.

VR flight simulator sales doubled today, so machines operating all night, and so players, after playing during the day, road the streets looking for machines available all night, sharing with others in line the most satisfying ways to beat the opponent.

Lady Tragedy had deceived the players for two days, and for two days, the players beat her.

The terrifying scene deeply impressed the captives.

“I’m glad they’re not targeting us.”

“Though I may not respect Lady Tragedy much, I actually feel like joining in.”

“Sa here. Lady Tragedy has caused too much tragedy in our race, I… I really want to hit her too.”

There have been civilizations that challenged the gods before, but it usually ended in a one-sided slaughter.

The gap between a civilization and a god is vast; such challenges are more like performances where the gods demonstrate their power to assert their absolute rule over this place.

But now, they realized that gods might not be such untouchable beings after all, there are civilizations that could defeat these gods and take revenge for all the anger they suffered.

Finally, the players cald down.

Lady Tragedy could still talk tough at first, but as ti went on, she’d been beaten to a rag-like thing and could no longer speak.

Returning the rag-like Lady Tragedy, the players looted ancient devices and the Squirrel King from her, then prepared to leave, satisfied.

But just as they were about to depart, the voice that had communicated with them before rang out again.

The voice, like before, held the indulgence one might show a mischievous child, but the tone was now sowhat chilly:

“Alright, you’ve resolved your dispute with Lady Pain. Now we can begin to consider resolving your differences with the other gods. You don’t think you can insult a god and get away unscathed, do you?”

The next mont, alarms within the spaceship began to blare wildly.

Alpha started to sound the alarm, red warning lights turned on within the cabin, intertwining with the darkness in a chaotic dance, bringing with them a strong sense of alarm mingling with a terrifying atmosphere.

An unknown power enveloped the Star of Destruction, the indestructible force field began to lt, and everything around seed to turn liquid, including the players’ bodies, which also started to lt.

As they slowly lted, the voice continued, “I am the chairman of the Heavenly Tao network, but they prefer to call the Main God. You possess the gift of immortality bestowed upon you by the Outer Gods, which is also your arrogance’s capital. But sotis, immortality is not a blessing but a curse. If I were to lt you into a liquid, would you still enjoy being immortal?”

A lting Star of Destruction was grasped by an unseen colossal hand and then flung away with great force.

At this mont, the laws of physics ceased to exist, the surrounding Laws changed according to the will of the Main God, allowing the lting Star of Destruction to fly out at a speed surpassing that of light, eventually coming to rest near the Songta Planet of the seventeenth ring.

It floated quietly in midair, resembling a giant vanilla ice cream ball in the process of lting, its internal players and Squirrel Drivers also becoming part of the lting dessert.

Molten tal flowed down from above it, but then dripped and solidified below it, forming a new Star of Destruction.

Once a cycle was complete, the Star of Destruction below would start lting again, perpetuating the process endlessly.

The Star of Destruction, bound by the Laws, beca a specin of the Gods’ power display, also expressing the Gods’ attitude towards the challengers.

You may win once, but we must win in the end.

Star after Star of Destruction was sent back, and when the last one had been returned, the voice of the Main God rang out, “Accept this blessing, and then imrse yourselves in eternal @$¥¥¥#…%@…”

The voice of the Main God ca to an abrupt halt, then transford into a series of muffled wails and piteous moans.

The Main God on the other end seed to struggle but was then overtaken by even more agonized screams.

One scream after another rose up, and it seed that the other side had turned into a slaughterhouse, the distressing cries of pain echoing chaotically.

Previously, to establish dominance, the voice of the Main God had been broadcast throughout the whole world, allowing every person within the Shadow Area to hear.

Even though They encountered sothing, this connection remained unbroken and beca even clearer.

The civilizations heard these cries of pain; so species even recognized the voices of the Gods they worshipped amid the chaotic wails.

The unexpected turn of events plunged every civilization into panic; they did not know what had happened, only that sothing terrifying was about to occur.

FInally, the wailing stopped.

After a period of silence, the players noticed that the lting of the Star of Destruction had ceased, and the Star, along with its pilots, was restored to its original state, while a synthesized electronic voice began to sound in every player’s ear.

“We apologize; due to so technical reasons, there was an accident in the ga. We will correct it and compensate players accordingly. We will calculate the points each player should have earned during this ti and offer three tis the compensation.”

The players listened to the announcent in bewildernt, unsure what this so-called accident was.

Reflecting on the past few days, they had acquired super cool spaceships, fought their way to the final boss, and given the ultimate boss a good beating.

Although they had been sent back by an even more formidable hidden boss, they could accept this arrangent; they hadn’t felt like they had been in an accident at all.

But since the GM had ntioned an accident and offered three tis the compensation, it would be sowhat embarrassing not to accept it.

Seeing that the players were satisfied, Fang Cheng also let out a contented sigh.

Cutting off the communication, he looked behind him.

There, thousands of Gods hung upside down, their faces filled with panic as they stared at the man in the black coat in front of them.

Sitting down in his chair, Fang Cheng looked at them and said gently, “Have you cald down? Can we discuss the compensation issue now?”
