Su Qingsang had “begged,” but Huo Jinyao shook his head. “Not sincere enough. I won’t say anything.”

“I thought you were going to say it was a mother-daughter thing.”
“No.” Su Qingsang shook her head again. “I still don’t have that feeling towards my mom. After all, we haven’t lived together for all our lives. I know what happened to her, and I know she is doing what is best for . I don’t bla her, nor do I hate her.”
Hating people was so tiring that she didn’t like hating people. She just lacked care from her parents, she was still much better off than orphans.
Besides, she had two parents now. Even if her father was bad, she still had her mother.
She suddenly put her arms around Huo Jinyao’s neck and stared at him. “Huo Jinyao, let’s be nicer to my mom in the future, shall we?”
“Yes.” Huo Jinyao hugged her waist tightly and answered, “You can rest assured. Your mother is my mother, too. I will take good care of her.”
Su Qingsang looked at him. She suddenly leaned over and kissed him on the lips.

Huo Jinyao put his chin against the top of her hair, slling the fragrance of her body. The corners of his mouth raised slightly.
