Apart from Zuo Hongchen, the leaders of the hospital had co over to check on her before getting off work, and so did the director of her departnt. They even asked her if she would like a day off.

Su Qingsang felt highly awkward being the subject of such strong concern, so she got out of work early.

Xiang Caiping was happy to et Shi ngwan. Her daughter had a wonderful husband and a great friend. She was especially friendly to Shi ngwan.

Huo Jinyao needed to work late again. Recently, he had work dinners from ti to ti, and Su Qingsang had gotten used to that. She didn’t know what he was busy with.

The three won were comfortable together. Shi ngwan found that Xiang Caiping was a nice person. She could tell that the latter sincerely loved her daughter.

Huo Jinyao had had his crazy days. He surely could tell that the bruise was caused by a heavy punch.

“I was going to tell you that I bruised myself against my desk.” It was only a small injury in Su Qingsang’s eyes. She didn’t want to make a big deal out of it.

She didn’t ntion it earlier because she didn’t want Xiang Caiping to worry.

“Who did this to you?” Huo Jinyao was in no mood for joking. The look in his eyes was a little cold.

Su Qingsang found his reaction both funny and annoying. “What do you plan on doing? If I told you who did this to , would you hit them back?”

“So you were attacked,” Huo Jinyao nodded, staring at that large bruise. “Tell , who did it?”

“Stop. I’m fine.” Su Qingsang dropped her head and glanced at the bruise. It hadn’t faded yet. She had snow-white skin, so that large bruise did look a little scary.

“I’m really fine. I’ve applied so dicine. It’s already a lot better than before. I’m okay now. Don’t overreact.”

“Did I overreact?” Huo Jinyao narrowed his eyes. “You first tell who did it, then I’ll stop overreacting.”

“I am really, really fine,” Su Qingsang felt a little helpless. She briefly told him about Liu Xiangyu.

“I was unlucky. I was right there, and I was his attending doctor. Don’t worry. He’s already at the police station. We’re fine now.”
