Chapter 259: Your Wedding Present
As Su Qingsang was going outside, a waiter brought her her coat and Huo Jinyao helped her put it on. It wasn’t cold inside the villa of course, but it was getting windy and chilly outside.
Su Qingsang tightened her coat and Huo Jinyao instantly put his arm around her waist. His heat ward her and she was not cold at all.
He showed her around the villa. Su Qingsang hadn’t noticed when she had first entered but now she realized the garden outside was frighteningly big. The wide lawn, dotted with little white night lights, was not too dark either.
Against the starlight overhead and with the music from inside that they could faintly here, everything looked quiet and beautiful.
In the back of the villa there was a very large swimming pool.
A swimming pool? Su Qingsang’s eyes widened in astonishnt. Isn’t this similar to the Huo Mansion? It’s only a little smaller, but it’s still fabulous, she thought.
“There are a greenhouse and grove over there and I had a swing chair put in over there. You can sit on it and read when you are free, or invite friends over for afternoon tea.”
Su Qingsang blinked. It took her a few seconds to realize what Huo Jinyao ant.
“What do you an ‘I can’? This house, don’t tell it is yours?”
Su Qingsang’s shocked and stupefied look was cute. Huo Jinyao felt pleased and kissed her on the lips.
“It is not mine. It’s yours.”
Su Qingsang’s jaw dropped. “What did you say?”
“I said, this villa is yours.” Huo Jinyao pinched her hand, glanced at her, and then withdrew his gaze.
“I bought it shortly after we were married. It was finished last month. I’m going to give it to you as a wedding present.”
Su Qingsang was shocked by his words. “Wedding present? Co on? We’ve been married a long ti.”
“Yes. We’ve been married a long ti.” A few months was actually not very long. Huo Jinyao took her hand and looked amused because he saw how frightened she was.
“I know we’ve been married a long ti, but I always thought the wedding was too simple. I’m afraid you won’t agree to have another wedding, so I thought it would be better to give you a wedding present.”
“You don’t have to give this, really. This is too much.” Su Qingsang was frightened. “Only two of us living in such a big house? What about the housework? And don’t you feel like it’s too empty, and—”
Before she could finish, Huo Jinyao had sealed her mouth with his lips.
It was not a light kiss, but a long and romantic one. It went on until she was unable to speak or even breathe.
Watching her blushing in his arms, Huo Jinyao spoke softly. “We can hire people to do the housework. If you feel it is too empty, you can have children. If you still feel lonely, you can have parties at ho and invite people over. These are just small things.”
Su Qingsang blushed, thinking that she seed to have asked a silly question.
“I still think it’s too much.”
A villa for a wedding present? Although she knew he was rich, it was too much for her.
“Not at all.” Huo Jinyao kissed her again on her cheek and said, “You are my wife. We can buy a house wherever you want to travel as well if you like.”
