>>Amber
I crashed onto the bed, the soft comforter enveloping , but it did little to ease the turmoil inside. Tears stread down my face, blurring my vision as the weight of my emotions threatened to suffocate .
He rembers. He does!
The thought echoed in my mind like a mantra, bringing with it a mixture of hope and despair. He rembers the laughter we shared, the monts that defined our connection. Our past life together! But there was a painful truth that twisted in my chest: he didn’t recognize .
Not the , that is in this world
Hael was an international sensation now, a star shining so brightly that I felt like a distant flicker in his life. My heart ached at the thought of all the girls who would claim to have been his past lover, each one eager to bask in the glory of his attention, each one believing they had been the one to capture his heart.
What if one of them looked like Corvina? The thought sent another wave of anguish crashing over . I could picture it so vividly: so girl that looked like Corvina, effortlessly stepping into my place, weaving herself into the mories we once shared.
I felt like I couldn’t breathe. Each breath ca shallow and ragged, the world closing in around . mories of our past life flashed before , the monts that had once felt so vibrant now reduced to whispers in the wind. I longed to reach out to him, to tell him that it’s he’s looking for but fear clawed at my insides.
What if he doesn’t believe ?
What if it’s not even real and he was just joking about it all?
Rolling onto my side, I buried my face in the pillow, trying to muffle the sobs that escaped my lips. The tears soaked into the fabric, blending with my grief as I fought against the overwhelming sense of loss.
In the back of my mind, I could hear the world moving around —people laughing, caras clicking, the hustle of a busy set. But here, in this mont, all I felt was the ache of loneliness and longing. I squeezed my eyes shut, wishing for so sign that he could see , truly see , and recognize .
With a shaky breath, I tried to calm my racing heart.
"Hael," I whispered, my voice breaking. The na felt heavy on my tongue, filled with all the emotions I couldn’t quite articulate. In this world that had no magic, I couldn’t even call his na and summon him here.
I gulped
What do I do? What can I do? For soone like Hael, he wouldn’t even look twice at his manager like that!
I bit my lower lip,
I lay there, tears continuing to fall, the weight of uncertainty pressing down on .

I rolled out of bed, the early morning light filtering through the curtains, casting a dim glow in the room. It was a little before five, and I felt like a disheveled ss. My hair was tangled, my eyes puffy from a restless night, but I had no ti to dwell on my appearance.
His text had co in like a lifeline in the dark
’Pick up here.’
He had sent the location where he was at. My heart raced as I grabbed my jacket, quickly brushing my fingers through my hair. I needed to get moving.
I slipped into my shoes, the coolness of the floor sending a shiver up my spine as I made my way to the car. The drive was mostly quiet, the streets still asleep as I navigated toward the sprawling mansion where the party had been held. I could already see the twinkling lights from the driveway, remnants of last night’s extravagance still lingering in the air.
As I stepped inside the mansion, the sll of lingering alcohol mixed with expensive perfu assaulted my senses. I approached a staff mber near the entrance, trying to project an air of confidence despite the knots twisting in my stomach.
"I’m the manager," I said, my voice steady. "Where can I find Hael?"
The staff mber nodded, motioning for to follow him. I followed closely behind as he led through the extravagant halls, the opulence around only making more anxious. My heart raced with each step, anticipation bubbling beneath the surface.
He guided to a grand staircase, taking to the second floor at the end of the hall. When we reached a large door, he pushed it open, and I stepped inside.
But as soon as I did, my heart sank.
The sight before was chaotic. The room was a ss, strewn with empty bottles and half-eaten plates of food. Celebrities were passed out on couches, the bed, even the floor, their bodies sprawled in all directions as if they had simply given up on the world around them.
I felt a wave of disappointnt wash over and I shook my head at them.
But then, my gaze fell on Hael, and my heart dropped further.
He was sleeping in the corner on one of the couches, his head tilted back, and his silver hair tousled in every direction. He looked so peaceful, a stark contrast to the chaos surrounding him. Relief flooded through montarily, but it was quickly overshadowed by the sight of another woman moving toward him.
?!?!
An actress I recognized from the tabloids, her face blurry from the late-night parties and endless bottles of wine, stumbled into the room. She was trying to shake off the haze of alcohol, her eyes focused on Hael with a misguided interest.
I felt my heart race with a sudden surge of protectiveness as she approached him.
I was about to rush over, to wake Hael myself. But before I could take a step, she plopped down on the couch beside him, leaning into his space, her laughter tinkling like a bell.
"Hey, sleepyhead," She said, attempting to shake him awake.
My breath caught in my throat. I watched as she leaned closer, her intentions clear. A flash of anger surged through , sharp and overwhelming.
"Hael!" I called out, my voice cutting through the haze of the room. In fact my voice was so loud, it woke a number of other people up, only montarily though, many of them fell back asleep imdiately.
Hael’s eyes fluttered open, a look of confusion washing over his features as he took in his surroundings. His gaze landed on the actress beside him, and for a mont, the air felt thick with tension.
He then looked at , "Amber?" He muttered, his voice hoarse and laced with sleep.
I took a step forward, the anger bubbling beneath the surface now mixed with concern. "What are you doing?" I said, my tone sharper than I intended.
The actress turned, surprise flickering in her eyes, but I barely registered her expression. My focus was solely on Hael. He looked at , and the mont his eyes t mine, a sense of calm washed over , the earlier tension slipping away.
"Hey," He said, rubbing his eyes, looking as if he’d just woken from a long dream.
I approached him, pushing past the lingering emotions that had threatened to overwhelm just monts before. "Let’s get you ho," I said softly, reaching out to help him sit up.
"Yeah, okay," He replied, his voice still thick with sleep. I held his hand and began to guide him out. As I turned to lead Hael out of the chaos, a sudden hand gripped his arm, yanking him back. I stumbled slightly, caught off guard by the unexpected force.
"Who do you think you are to take him?" The actress slurred, her eyes narrowed and her expression defiant. She was clearly still riding the high of the party, her bravado fueled by the drinks she had consud.
I felt my jaw clench at her boldness. "I’m his manager," I replied, my voice steady despite the anger bubbling inside . "And he needs to co ho."
"Yeah, right," She scoffed, her laugh ringing hollow in the dim light of the room. "He looks like he’s having a great ti. Why don’t you let him enjoy himself for once? Or are you just jealous because I’m actually fun?"
I shot her a glare, feeling a surge of protectiveness rise within . "Fun doesn’t an dragging him into a ss like this. He’s not just so toy you can play with when you feel like it."
Hael glanced between us, his confusion evident. "Amber, maybe we should just—"
"Stay out of this, Hael!" I snapped, my eyes locked onto the actress. "This is between and her."
"Oh," He raised his hands and took a step back. I didn’t notice the smirk on his face then.
She leaned forward, a smirk playing on her lips. "Oh, so you think you’re the only one who gets to decide what he does? Maybe he likes my company better than yours. Ever thought of that?"
With every word she said, the tension in the air thickened and my blood began to boil
