I headed out of the hotel after spending the night shooting a scene.

“Really? Or did Vanessa send you here? What are you two planning this ti?” I taunted.
“No...no. She and I are over. She used . I really wanted to stick to our plan, when I suggested we get married, temporarily, I haven’t t her then. I have no idea how she found out that I was going to be your groom but she did and she approached , offering a huge investnt from her father’s company if I stood you up.”
“Why are you here anyway? Shouldn’t you be enjoying the investnt?”

I burst into laughter. “I can’t exactly feel sorry for you because you deserve what you got. You’re here looking so remorseful but you felt no remorse when you connived with her!”

I eyed him. “Well, yes, and I have him to thank for that. It wasn’t worth it to even marry a scumbag like you, temporarily.” I snapped.
“I really wished I didn’t screw things up. Even my mother is refusing to talk to . I genuinely regret what I did, Alora. Please forgive , maybe we could be friends.”
“Go be friends with Vanessa.” I mocked, turned around and headed for my car.
“Alora, I’m truly sorry, please find a place in your heart to forgive !” I heard him shout after but I ignored him and got into my car.

When I got back to Caden’s house, he wasn’t ho, I was hot and bothered and I needed a release so I sent him a text.
: Will you be ho early tonight?
Caden always texted back on ti but he didn’t today.
After like ten minutes, his reply ca.
Caden: No.

No further explaining why or sothing. His replies had never been this short.
Or was I overthinking?
I sent another text.
: Are you busy with work?
After waiting for so minutes again, his reply ca.

What’s with this short replies?
Maybe he was truly busy with work.
Feeling thirsty, I walked into the kitchen to grabbed a bottle of water.
“Oh, hello Alora. I didn’t think know you were back ho. Since you spent the night out last night. I thought maybe you had finally decided to leave this house.”
My teeth clenched hearing that annoying voice.

Caden would never tell outsiders that. Even if we were only temporarily married, people weren’t ant to know.

I was curious to know what she was going to show so I stood there and she unlocked her phone, making see the wallpaper on her hoscreen.

Had he really been hanging out with Ellie?

“Yeah, we’re not truly married. We’re only to stay married, maybe for a month or two.”

“He had told about this when I let him know how much him being married bothers . He told it was nothing to be worried about.”
Ellie smiled. “In fact, we talked a lot that night. I didn’t even know you two had history. He was this bad boy in college who made a bet to play with your heart. I do not know why but my chest felt so tight right now.
“I want you to spend more nights out so I can spend hours with him like yesterday, I was actually in his study all night, do you want to know what we did?”

I headed for my bedroom, my vision getting blurred with tears.
