Mingzhu nodded: "Alright, I’ve never heard a story you made up yourself!"

Mingzhu loves to hear love stories, especially those that are particularly beautiful. Yueyao specifically made up one. Yueyao is very eloquent, and influenced by Xiang Wei, she’s also good at storytelling, with a rhythm that had even Xi Yu and Bai Yi entranced.

Listening to Mingzhu’s even breathing, Yueyao smiled and said: "She fell asleep." In these few days, Mingzhu hadn’t had a good night’s sleep due to hunger. Falling asleep this ti is a good sign.

Yueyao quietly walked out and said to Bai Yi: "I’ll go back for a bit. If there’s anything, send soone to let know." Living close has the benefit of being able to co and go at any ti.

Upon returning to the residence, Ruo Xiao softly said: "Madam, the master is in the study." Yueyao had already sent soone over earlier to tell An Zhichen to have lunch by himself, while Yueyao herself had lunch at the Niu Mansion.

As soon as Yueyao stepped into the study, she saw An Zhichen reading a book, glancing at it she saw it was a military book: "Sister Mingzhu just had a bowl of congee and fell asleep. I just hope when she wakes up she won’t vomit again."

An Zhichen smiled and said: "I’m sure she won’t vomit again. Speaking of which, you haven’t cooked for your husband yet?" The privilege he, as her husband, had yet to enjoy, his cousin had already enjoyed first.

Yueyao smiled and said: "I can only make a few dishes, and I’m not good at it, but if you don’t mind, I can make you so this afternoon."

An Zhichen was just saying it casually: "No need, you can cook for when you have free ti in the future!" Lately, Yueyao has been very busy, and he didn’t have the heart to burden her further.

Yueyao’s heart was warm, but she quickly thought of Xiang Wei’s situation. She imdiately told An Zhichen about it: "Heyue, you have several scars on your body too, I’ll accompany you to see Doctor Li later to have him take a look." With Xiang Wei’s situation, Yueyao was worried An Zhichen might also have hidden dangers on his body.

An Zhichen knew Yueyao was worried about him and readily agreed: "Let’s leave it for today, I’ll go tomorrow after work, just in ti to pass by that street on the way back." If Doctor Li’s dical skills are as great as Yueyao says, he would definitely go to check it out.

Yueyao reminded: "I recognize Doctor Li’s handwriting, don’t try to pull a fast one on ."

Reflecting on Yueyao’s concern, An Zhichen said: "In Haikou, many soldiers experience joint pain when they get older, the doctor said it’s wind-cold and damp accumulation over ti that can’t be cured. I want to consult the doctor to see if there’s a solution." In fact, he also had so hidden injuries, but he hadn’t taken them seriously before. Xiang Wei’s situation, however, made him pay attention. Spotting problems early allows for early treatnt, but if one avoids seeing a doctor and misses the best ti for treatnt, there would be regrets later.

This made Yueyao anxious again: "Where have you been injured?"

Not hiding anything, An Zhichen said: "My leg was injured before, but a doctor has already seen it. I’m worried about after-effects. If there’s a good doctor, I want to have it checked." If nothing’s wrong, that’s good, but if there is, catching it early is certainly wise.

Yueyao was apprehensive: "Then you must go see him tomorrow."

Niu Yanghui had been so worried about Mingzhu these past few days that he was burning out. Everyone understandingly didn’t force him to work overti at the end of the year. As soon as his workday ended, Niu Yanghui rushed ho.

Upon arriving ho, hearing that Mingzhu not only ate a bowl of congee but also fell asleep, he felt a great sense of relief. He was worried Mingzhu couldn’t hold on if this continued.

Bai Yi smiled and said: "We have Miss Yueyao to thank." Yueyao tirelessly cooked porridge three tis, which even moved her.

Niu Yanghui nodded, this kindness he surely rembered. Quietly, he walked into the room, and as soon as he reached the bedside, Mingzhu opened her eyes.

Bai Yi brought over another bowl of congee. Niu Yanghui took it and fed Mingzhu spoonful by spoonful. Mingzhu took a bite and joyfully said: "I don’t feel nauseous anymore."

Bai Yi cautiously said: "Miss, this is the congee Miss Yueyao cooked. It’s just plain rice congee without anything added." Earlier, the kitchen maid had tasted a spoonful and found Yueyao’s congee didn’t even have salt.

Niu Yanghui quickly said: "Have them cook a bowl of noodles, without salt too." Maybe Mingzhu couldn’t eat salt, which is why she was vomiting whatever she ate.

The kitchen maid soon brought over a bowl of noodles, which had a little minced at and an egg cracked into it.

Mingzhu took it and ate, surprisingly not feeling nauseous and kept it down. Even after an hour, she still didn’t feel like vomiting.

In the evening, Zhi Qin ca personally to tell Yueyao that Mingzhu was fine and could eat again now.

Yueyao chuckled: "It’s good that she can eat, she shouldn’t be tornted anymore, or neither the adult nor the child will hold up."

After Zhi Qin left, Yueyao secretly glanced at An Zhichen beside her, seeing his expressionless face made her blush with embarrassnt. Forgetting to add salt while cooking porridge proved she wasn’t ant to be a cook. But speaking of it, Mingzhu’s tastes were peculiar indeed; she couldn’t eat salt.

In the evening, Xiang Wei returned and handed Yueyao a list compiled by Doctor Li: "Miss, the items checked on the list were not bought." They didn’t manage to buy many of the herbs, only six.

After looking, Yueyao realized she had three of them, and the rest: "Tomorrow, I’ll have soone ask at Ma’s Mansion and the Marquis’ household. If they have them, we wouldn’t need to look further." Every household had a habit of keeping rare herbs; hopefully, the two families would have them!

In the evening, An Zhichen told Yueyao sothing: "The Ministry of Rites has already responded, and it’ll be official in a few days."

Yueyao was very surprised: "How could it be so fast?" She was familiar with the process of granting titles and knew it generally took at least three to five months for the approval to co through officially. They had only been married for just over a year.

An Zhichen smiled and said: "It’s because it’s happening at the end of the year, so it’s faster."

Yueyao nodded. An Zhichen was a Fourth Rank official, which ant she would be a Fourth Rank Imperial Decree Lady. Thinking of this left Yueyao with mixed feelings in her heart.

An Zhichen brushed aside the hair on Yueyao’s forehead with his hand: "What’s wrong?" When a woman hears she’s granted a title, they should be happy, but Yueyao seed not very pleased.
