Seventh Lady Li sensed sothing was amiss and gestured for everyone else to leave. The room was left with just the mother and daughter. Seventh Lady Li asked, "Pinting, if you’re upset, just cry it out! You can cry while at ho, but once you’re in the palace, you won’t even be able to cry."

Pinting shook her head and said, "Mother, do you know why I want to learn pharmacology?" Pinting began learning pharmacology at the age of eight, but she learned secretly. Not to ntion outsiders, even Tingzheng was unaware. Only a few people knew about it.

Seventh Lady Li was taken aback and said, "Isn’t it because you like it?" She had initially opposed it, but eventually, Yueyao said if the child liked it, just let her learn. Learning pharmacology could be beneficial.

Pinting shook her head and said, "That year, aunt told that with my looks, there was a possibility I would enter the palace. So, aunt had learn pharmacology, saying even if I don’t enter the palace, I’ve learned sothing. If I do enter, it would help prevent being easily manipulated."

Seventh Lady Li suddenly rembered how Yueyao said eight years ago to arrange a marriage for Pinting early. Thinking about this, Seventh Lady Li felt deeply distressed. Had she known, she would have arranged it earlier for Pinting, and she wouldn’t have to go to the palace: "If Great Aunt had told earlier, it would have been better."

Pinting, who was quite understanding, said, "Aunt was also guessing and couldn’t be certain. She acted to prevent unforeseen events. Mother, aunt has been good enough to us." Without aunt’s support, their family situation would have been very different. Pinting had nothing but gratitude towards Yueyao.

Seventh Lady Li nodded quickly, "Your father says you’ll likely enter the palace around March or April next year. There’s still a year left, and I must prepare plenty for you."

Thinking about this over and over, Seventh Lady Li ended up with a headache.

Pinting actually realized after reaching marriageable age and not being able to settle on a marriage that she was likely to enter the palace. The reason was simple. She was not her elder sister Wanting. If no one stopped her marriage, it couldn’t have been delayed for long: "Mother, don’t worry. There’s still a year to prepare!" She had been preparing to enter the palace for years.

Seventh Lady Li had always been calm, but now felt a bit flustered. After pondering, she still thought it would be better to discuss with Yueyao, only to learn Yueyao had gone to the manor.

Pinting said, "Mother, we need to rely on ourselves, not solely on aunt. Aunt is An Family’s wife; her primary consideration is An Family."

Seventh Lady Li quickly cald down from her panic: "Alright, let’s use this year to plan carefully." She couldn’t rely on Lian Tingzheng, they could only rely on themselves.

After Yueyao returned, she knew about Pinting entering the palace. As it was expected, Yueyao wasn’t too surprised. But thinking of the child going away still made her a bit sad: "Being too beautiful isn’t necessarily a good thing." If Pinting wasn’t so outstandingly beautiful, there would be no entry to the palace.

An Zhichen chuckled, "Bla your brother for being so handso. It’s fortunate that Pinting hasn’t gained the title of a talented lady; otherwise, she’d draw even more attention." A woman being too prominent isn’t actually a good thing; even Yueyao, having beco too well-known, faced many troubles. Of course, Yueyao’s troubles mainly ca from those Painters who were dissatisfied with her being acclaid as the best in the world. Though occasionally challenged, it was within a bearable range.

Yueyao felt she should still do her part.

An Zhichen did not object, knowing it would be futile, as Yueyao’s unease would only make him restless. An Zhichen thought for a mont and said, "Then we should carefully select an experienced nanny familiar with the imperial palace for her. Having soone with experience nearby can help avoid many pitfalls."

Yueyao thought this was an excellent suggestion. However, finding a capable, loyal, and upright nanny wasn’t an easy task.

Upon learning this, Mingzhu found a nanny for her, one who previously served beside the Empress Dowager and was familiar with palace affairs.

Mingzhu laughed and said, "Others might think it’s your daughter entering the palace!" After all, she was just a niece, but the effort was quite extraordinary!

Yueyao said, "You often enter the palace, how can you not know what it’s like inside? This is all I can do for her, her future depends on herself." Affairs of the Inner Courtyard in the imperial palace can’t be ddled in by outsiders.

Mingzhu agreed, "Otherwise, we could ask my aunt to extend a bit of protection." Mingzhu’s aunt had now beco the Empress Dowager, holding absolute authority in the palace.

Yueyao shook her head and said, "Protection for a mont isn’t protection for a lifeti. Additionally, the Empress Dowager is elderly; why burden her with these troubles?" Although the Empress Dowager was still healthy, she was still an elderly person, who should be well cared for and not troubled.
