Capítulo 1430: Tingzheng Extra Story (Part 2)

As I was envisioning that my future days would be as blissful as my sister and brother-in-law’s, an unexpected event occurred.

My sister invited my cousin-in-law to the Lin Family to discuss a marriage proposal, but not only did the Lin Family refuse, they also showed a poor attitude toward her. This incident angered my sister, prompting her to tell that she wanted to call off the engagent. She also ntioned that the Lin Family looks down on my background and doesn’t respect , advising not to pursue this matter zealously.

It was the first ti I heard my sister speak so harshly. I know her temperant well; if I don’t express my stance now, my sister will certainly call the matchmaker to break off the engagent imdiately. I quickly expressed my desire not to cancel the engagent, and I solely want to marry Qinghan.

In the end, my sister took a step back, asking to convey her ssage to the Lin Family that if they don’t finalize the wedding date, the marriage will be annulled.

I imdiately sought out Big Brother Lin, who said it was all due to a misunderstanding. As for what the misunderstanding was, Big Brother Lin didn’t explain. When I t Qinghan, I understood the reason; the problem was with . A few days ago, Qinghan casually asked why my sister hadn’t agreed to the marriage.

I didn’t think much of it at the ti and said that my sister thought she wasn’t qualified to be the Lady of the house, hence she didn’t wish to agree to the match. Auntie Lin was furious upon hearing this, especially since she had just learned that her biological mother was a brothel woman, coupled with rumors outside saying I was the Ninth Prince’s male companion.

While Auntie Lin was regretting hastily arranging the marriage, she happened to encounter my cousin-in-law discussing the wedding date and imdiately gave her the cold shoulder.

When I realized I had caused this trouble, I felt guilty and upset. My sister already didn’t favor Qinghan, and this incident made her dislike Qinghan even more.

I didn’t dare tell the Lin Family about my sister wanting to call off the engagent, instead mildly expressing my wish to marry sooner. Unfortunately, the Lin Family rejected this.

After my sister learned this, she didn’t pursue it further, suggesting that her husband should speak to Uncle Lin. As for what he would say, it certainly wouldn’t be pleasant.

Indeed, my brother-in-law sought out Uncle Lin and said if the Lin Family was dissatisfied with the marriage, they could call it off. Uncle Lin imdiately replied that the wedding date could be set for year-end.

I heard from Big Brother Lin that Auntie Lin quarreled fiercely with Uncle Lin after he set the date, and Qinghan cried her heart out over this. I felt guilty, yet there was nothing I could do.

My sister t with but didn’t ntion calling off the engagent again; she only told this marriage was sothing I insisted on and she couldn’t stop it, so she wouldn’t interfere further. However, once I’m married, I would be an adult, responsible for handling my own matters henceforth, and she wouldn’t get involved anymore.

When I heard these words, I felt very anxious and was about to speak, but my sister interrupted . I felt really hurt and couldn’t understand why my sister was so certain that Qinghan and I would not live well together! My sister didn’t even know Qinghan and yet made such a conclusion, which I truly found a bit excessive.

After this incident, I could sense my sister’s attitude towards had beco sowhat distant. Although I was really saddened inside, I didn’t regret it.

In the blink of an eye, my wedding day arrived. Regrettably, my sister was pregnant at the ti, suffering severe morning sickness, thus unable to attend my wedding—the absence was a great disappointnt for .

On the day of my wedding, I was filled with joy. But this joy only lasted a day; the next day, when I took Qinghan to see my sister, conflicts imdiately arose.

I had known for a long ti that my sister didn’t like Qinghan, so I had been working hard to speak positively about my sister in front of Qinghan, hoping Qinghan would take the initiative to befriend her. Unfortunately, things did not go as I had hoped. Because of the previous rejection, Qinghan was very dissatisfied with my sister. Initially, she didn’t voice her complaints, but over ti, her discontent surfaced. If it were just that, I could persuade her kindly. But gradually, I noticed Qinghan’s temper was overly big. If things didn’t go her way, she would lash out. If I didn’t coax her well, she would return to her family’s ho.

Once or twice was manageable, but when it happened frequently, it beca irritating. Fortunately, my father-in-law was a reasonable person and forbade Qinghan from returning ho too often, which prevented this from happening again.

A year into the marriage, Qinghan still hadn’t gotten pregnant, which had a bit anxious. Wanting a son was part of it; I also hoped that if Qinghan bore children, my sister might look past any grievances with Qinghan for the sake of the child.
