Xiang Wei asked while Yueyao lay on the bed: "Why aren’t you worried about An Zhichen? Is there sothing I don’t know about?"
Yueyao glared at Xiang Wei: "You’re Clairvoyance and Wind-Following Ear, what could you not know? Go back to your room and sleep."
Xiang Wei looked at Yueyao, who had her back turned, knowing that Yueyao wouldn’t say anything to her. With no choice, she went back to her own room.
In the middle of the night, Xiang Wei was awakened by a noise. Her heart skipped a beat, and she imdiately rushed to Yueyao’s room. Thankfully, Yueyao was still sitting on the bed, perfectly fine.
Gu You whispered, "Madam had a nightmare."
Hearing this, Xiang Wei quickly sent everyone out, then walked over to Yueyao and softly asked, "What kind of nightmare did you have?" Seeing Yueyao’s pale face and the sweat dripping from her forehead, Xiang Wei knew the dream must have been terrifying.
Yueyao took a deep breath: "I dreamt that An Zhichen was betrayed by a trusted person..." She couldn’t bring herself to say that An Zhichen died unjustly.
Xiang Wei was also scared. If it were soone else’s dream, they might say dreams are the opposite. But Yueyao’s dreams were eerily accurate; nine tis out of ten, they ca true.
Xiang Wei pondered for a mont and comforted her: "Now that we have your dream, we can inform An Zhichen to be wary of the people around him, and he won’t be in danger." With Yueyao’s warning, An Zhichen should be able to avoid danger.
Yueyao nodded, after a mont, she said: "Besides, I also dreamt that Jiangnan will have a drought; inform the Marquis of this." Yueyao indeed dreamt of An Zhichen being betrayed and then dying unjustly. However, she didn’t dream about Jiangnan’s drought.
The Jiangnan drought was sothing Yueyao knew from a previous life, which caused rice prices to rise and affected their livelihood. Previously, at the Nunnery, she ate dry als three tis a day, with two plates of vegetables each al, but due to the drought, she could only have porridge three tis a day. That was because the Nunnery had so reserves; otherwise, they wouldn’t even have porridge.
Xiang Wei was startled by the ntion of a drought. Droughts are major events even in normal tis, not to ntion while there is a war in the Northwest, where grain supply is crucial. Xiang Wei hurriedly said: "Don’t worry, I’ll make sure this news reaches the Capital City and Northwest first thing in the morning." Both matters are critical and need early prevention.
Yueyao said: "No need to worry too much, even if Jiangnan has a drought, it will be next year. The Marquis needs to plan; half a day isn’t urgent. If you lose your composure, it’ll only draw suspicion." She told Xiang Wei to inform Marquis Jingning about the drought rather than Niu Yanghui because Marquis Jingning knew she had prophetic abilities and would take it seriously.
Xiang Wei laughed and said: "You can trust that I know how to handle things."
The next day, Xiang Wei arrived on ti at Mingzhu’s courtyard, but when she went to the Main Courtyard, she only saw Niu Yanghui, not Mingzhu.
Niu Yanghui thought Xiang Wei had sothing important, but upon hearing that she ca to teach Mingzhu boxing, Niu Yanghui smiled and said: "She’s not up yet. How about changing the boxing lessons to the morning from now on."
Xiang Wei had no doubt why Mingzhu slept in! Surely, the couple had talked it through and reconciled. Xiang Wei agreed with a smile. After leaving the Main Courtyard, Xiang Wei went straight out.
After finishing her lunch, Yueyao was walking in the courtyard for digestion when she saw Mingzhu, who looked very pleased. Yueyao smiled and asked, "Is there sothing to be happy about?"
Mingzhu seed much more cheerful and said: "No, I just ca to see you. I’ll head back for a nap soon."
Yueyao, knowing Mingzhu’s nature, suspected she might not want to copy scriptures: "I tell you, while I can’t control you after I leave, as long as I’m here, you’ll have to copy scriptures for two shichen each day, not a minute less."
Mingzhu grimaced and said: "Copying scriptures is fine, but can I skip the boxing lessons?" Rembering Xiang Wei’s description, she found it terrifying and was ready to give up.
Yueyao didn’t force Mingzhu to learn boxing, as it didn’t significantly matter. Mingzhu had a nanny who understood health maintenance, so Yueyao wasn’t worried about Mingzhu’s health: "It’s up to you."
Mingzhu was afraid of Xiang Wei’s sarcasm: "Then help talk to Xiang Wei. From now on, I will copy scriptures in my own courtyard, but co here for your presence."
As long as Mingzhu didn’t quit midway, it didn’t matter where she copied the scriptures.
When Xiang Wei returned in the afternoon, she shook her head with a smile: "I knew she couldn’t endure the hardship." Although Xiang Wei anticipated Mingzhu wouldn’t attend boxing lessons again after the first ti, Mingzhu hadn’t even started before giving up.
Yueyao was focused on another matter: "Did the ssages get sent out?"
Xiang Wei nodded: "They were sent."
Yueyao pondered and decided to write a letter to An Zhichen herself, to subtly inform him of her dream.
Xiang Wei didn’t object; a letter written by Yueyao was more convincing: "Jiangnan has plenty of herbs; we should buy so top-grade ones to send over." Yueyao sent clothes every year, and An Zhichen had enough to wear. With the war going on, it’s better to send more dicinal herbs.
Yueyao felt that this arrangent was appropriate.
