Old Master Niu did not consider Mingzhu pure and genuine. In his eyes, Mingzhu was insolent and headstrong, and manipulative. As Yueyao had anticipated, Old Master Niu always believed that Mingzhu was responsible for his younger son’s death and was extrely disgusted by her. If Mingzhu didn’t have such strong backing and if his eldest son wasn’t highly protective of her, he would never have spared Mingzhu.
Yueyao stopped speaking: “Lord Niu, just now you said you were very fond of Little Bun. If you truly love him, you should let him grow up carefree and happy.”
Old Master Niu looked at Yueyao with a complex gaze.
Yueyao said no more and made a formal bow towards Old Master Niu, “I have an unreasonable request. I would like to stay until Little Bun wakes up.”
Old Master Niu remained silent for a long mont before finally casting a glance at Yueyao and saying, “Alright.” After speaking, Old Master Niu left the courtyard.
Once Old Master Niu departed, Yueyao realized her back was completely soaked. Seeing Bai Yi erge from the house, Yueyao instructed, “Send soone to fetch a change of clothes.”
