70: Chapter 70 Let’s Talk 70: Chapter 70 Let’s Talk The words had barely faded when Adi found herself held at swordpoint.

She glared at the man in black clothes with an annoyed expression, “Let go!”

Shiqi expressionlessly withdrew his sword, but before Adi could take a sigh of relief, her hands were bound with rope.

“Hey, what are you doing!

Let go!” Adi struggled for a while, her wrists painfully constricted by the hemp rope.

She had learned martial arts under the State Preceptor, but now with her hands tied, she couldn’t perform any maneuvers.

Mo Qingshan secured the bindings and dusted off his clothes, then rushed Shiqi, “Don’t delay in delivering her!”

Shiqi nodded, “Yes.”

Mo Qingshan, facing the gazes of others, said shalessly, “It’s almost New Year, too much killing and fighting is inauspicious.”

Shen Xiheng’s eyelids twitched, feeling that today’s drama wasn’t necessarily a must-see.

In the courtyard, Qi Yu lay closed-eyed on a chair, beside which several bricks propped up a dicinal furnace, ablaze and emitting bursts of bitter fragrance.

Shen Nanxing squatted beside her, fanning the flas beneath the stove.

Her actions suddenly paused as she said, “Princess, soone is coming.”

Qi Yu furrowed her brow and forced open her heavy eyelids.

In recent days, she didn’t know why, but she always felt a bit exhausted.

She was helped to her feet by Shen Nanxing, looking feeble as she watched the person Shiqi threw into the courtyard.

“Who is she?”

Shiqi answered monotonously, “This subordinate is not sure.”

Qi Yu massaged her temples, hearing the person tied up on the ground shout in a fit of vexation, “Untie !”

She slightly raised her hand, her fingertips almost rging with the snow on the ground, sickly pale.

Adi’s bindings were undone, and she rubbed her reddened wrists, glaring at Qi Yu while holding her breath.

“I ca to the Prince Residence by Princess Lingya’s command to deliver gifts, only to discover that the Princess refuses to see us!”

After she finished speaking, her gaze t Qi Yu’s cold eyes, and Adi shivered throughout her body from the cold.

Yet, she couldn’t resist staring at her more, finding her increasingly beautiful as she looked.

The distress in Qi Yu’s brows kindled a feeling of sympathy.

In Tulan, she hadn’t seen such a delicately beautiful person; the won there were passionate and fiery, unlike the Princess here, who seed as though she might lt with just another glance.

Qi Yu indeed looked unwell, a faint darkness under her eyes.

She could sense that the girl before her bore no malice, her eyes sowhat naively clear.

Not like Qi Anran, who put on airs openly but was scheming at heart.

“Why bring the person here?” Knowing Shiqi was not one to speak up, Qi Yu had to ask.

Shiqi organized his thoughts for a mont, unsure how best to phrase it.

Adi scoffed lightly, bluntly stating, “I couldn’t help but curse at you in anger, so the Prince ordered to be tied up and brought here to apologize to you!”

Qi Yu’s eyelid twitched, just about to speak, when she coughed aloud.

Shen Nanxing quickly discarded the fan in her hand to fetch a cloak.

Just as she was about to drape it over her, she saw a black fox fur coat envelop Qi Yu tightly.

She saw Li Mingjue’s dark-faced expression, bowed her head, and silently retreated back into the room.

Li Mingjue hadn’t seen anyone for days, and didn’t understand the severity of her condition until Song Ling ntioned it earlier.

Seeing her just then, thin-clad standing amidst the snow, a fire ignited in his chest.

Such cold weather, and they weren’t adding clothing?

Qi Yu coughed weakly twice, snuggling into her fox fur coat.

She was naturally warm-bodied and knew how to regulate her health; she truly hadn’t felt the cold since the onset of winter.

Now, enveloped in the warm, heavy clothing, she realized her fingertips were nearly frozen stiff.

She said to Adi, “Is there any gift that I, as the Princess, must personally receive?”

Adi had originally thought she was deceiving him, but seeing how pale her face was, it didn’t seem like she was feigning illness.

She pursed her lips, feeling a wave of annoyance surge within her, “I saw you yesterday, and you were perfectly fine then, I thought…”

Qi Yu furrowed her brows, was yesterday not the encounter at the Zuichun Building?

It appeared that she hadn’t thought wrong, soone indeed had been watching her.

But why would Princess Lingya send her gifts for no reason?

Was it to curry favor, or to intimidate her?

Unable to fathom her actions, Qi Yu remained silent, quietly watching Adi.

Although Adi was sowhat willful, he wasn’t unreasonable.

Realizing his mistake, he sincerely knelt down and perford a salute.

“Princess Qi, I was wrong today, please don’t bla our princess.”

Qi Yu didn’t make it difficult for him, she signaled to Shiqi with her eyes, “Let him go.”

Shiqi glanced at Li Mingjue, and upon seeing him nod, he then took Adi away.

Upon reaching the gate of the other courtyard, Adi bit her lip, looked back, and said to Qi Yu, “Our princess is a good person.”

After speaking, she ran off without caring about Qi Yu’s expression, lifting her skirt as she went.

Qi Yu was stunned for a mont before realizing what her words ant.

She wanted her not to make things difficult for Princess Lingya.

Shen Xiheng shook his head with a smile, “This young girl is really reckless.”

After he spoke, seeing that Qi Yu’s complexion was off, he quickly hid the smile in his eyes.

He then said to Li Mingjue, “I’ll go find Brother Song now.”

After speaking, he quickly left.

Shen Nanxing put out the fire in the stove, carried the dicine over to Qi Yu, “Princess, please take your dicine first.”

Qi Yu reached to take it, but Li Mingjue stopped her.

He took the dicine, his tone laced with thinly veiled anger, “Inside.”

Qi Yu coughed twice, too afraid to look at his face, slowly dragging her feet inside.

Shen Nanxing dared not stay, quietly leaving the other courtyard and making sure to close the door behind him.

The room in the other courtyard was very small, Qi Yu felt it was fine when she was alone, but it felt cramped with another person.

She sat on the bed, still wrapped in a layer of brocade quilt.

“I’ll do it myself,” she said quietly, lowering her head.

Li Mingjue expressionlessly handed the dicine to her, and Qi Yu, caught off guard, was scalded, crying out in pain, “Hiss—”

Her eyes misted from the burn, and seeing the person who had taken the bowl back, she couldn’t help but glare at him, “What are you doing!”

Li Mingjue’s expression was even uglier than hers, he scooped a spoonful of the dicine and brought it to her lips, “Drink the dicine.”

She was clearly very sick yet still stubbornly trying to show strength.

Qi Yu slightly parted her lips, and the bitter dicine was forcibly placed into her mouth.

She had prescribed the dicinal formula herself, and the herbs were also taken from her own space.

Qi Yu, looking at the exceedingly bitter dicine, regretted her decision, wishing she had taken western dicine earlier.

When the dicine had almost finished, Li Mingjue finally ceased the forceful feeding.

He placed the bowl aside on the table and looked at the wan figure not knowing whether to leave or stay.

Qi Yu pulled at his sleeve and sighed, “Prince, let’s talk.”
