"This place is cool, isn’t it? I co here every weekend because it has so of the best places to visit!" Brittany was running through the streets, holding Jin’s hand as they explored the area.

"No wonder you always bail on when I try to make plans on the weekend."

"N-No! I promise that I was working those tis. Please believe ." If there was one thing Brittany hated, it was bailing on Jin. They were best friends and she loved spending ti with him.

"Haha, I’m kidding. I know you have important things to do. Just wanted to see your reaction."

She pouted, then picked Jin up, threatening to throw him, but he knew she was just bluffing.

"Okay, kids, playti is over. It’s ti to go to the Aegis Corp." Oculia stopped the two of them from having more fun and dragged them to the Aegis Corp main branch.

"Whoa. This building is massive." Jin looked up at a tall, glass building that was the main branch of the Aegis Corp. Behind the skyscraper was a large school with a shit ton of land that acted as the place where initiates train until they beco operatives.

"Welco to Olympus, the main branch of the Argis Corps in this country," Oculia said as they entered the skyscraper.

Every country had an Aegis Corp, each with its own na. There were only four main branches across the entire world, with tons of minor branches.

Since Jin had already registered, all he needed to do here was confirm his registration, since he arrived early, and have the staff be aware of his presence. After that, he would be allowed to go to the institute.

"Thank you for registering with us." The receptionist smiled at Jin.

"No problem."

"Okay, kids. This is where we part ways. Britt, take him to the institute. I have to report back to the board."

"Okay, see you, Aunty Oculia." Brittany dapped her up.

"Take care of Jin, you know how these girls can be at the institute. Also, did you bring your power kit?" Oculia hugged Jin and wished him good luck.

"Yes, I brought my power kit, and Auntie Oculia, you know I’m not afraid of anyone. I can take care of myself." Unless a girl had an extrely unorthodox power or was powerful, no one would be able to harm him.

"Jin, don’t take these girls lightly. If you act tough, they will show you how tough THEY can be. Trust . I went here when I was young as well, and a lot of boys were...well, they were turned into bitches, let’s just say that."

’Wild.’

"I’ll protect him. Don’t worry. They won’t ss with him if they know he’s with ." Brittany wrapped her arm around Jin. She would fuck up anyone who ssed with him.

"Okay, take care." Oculia put on her sunglasses, walking out of the building as a hover vehicle pulled up and took her away to her destination.

"Okay, Jin, let’s go."

The institute was built to develop students to their fullest potential before becoming operatives. It boasted top-tier resources—second-best training facilities, second-best power mastery programs, second-best academics—and, well, the second-best of everything in the Aegis Corps.

Why were they the second best? It was simple, the main Aegis Corps branch, the place where initiates work after becoming operatives, has the best facilities, programs, etc.

"Welco to the Olympus Aegis Institute. Since we have already been to a school with an Aegis program since we were kids, you only have to spend two years here. Unless you fail, of course." Brittany explained.

She led him around the institute, showing him where the facilities were located while also greeting people she used to see when she went here.

Brittany had to admit that she missed the institute, but as an operative, she was enjoying her work and wouldn’t want to go back.

"Train and study hard so you can beco a guardian, my guardian. I want you to work with ."

Jin was confused. "Don’t you already have a guardian working with you?" Usually, vanguards and guardians worked in pairs.

"No. I told you already that I requested to have mine be removed from working with . I only want you as my partner. So I’m keeping that space open. Don’t let down."

The smile on her face made Jin want to honor her wish. He didn’t care to beco a guardian, but since he was here, he might as well make the best of it.

"Fine. Where are the dorms?"

"Yes!" She grabbed his hand and directed him to the dorms.

Thankfully, the dorms were split between male and female. In the beginning of the institute’s history, this wasn’t the case, and n would go ho a shell of their forr selves.

Jin didn’t mind if he was with a woman, though. Why would he? The guy was from a world opposite to this one; being around hot won was a dream co true for him.

"Do you have your dorm keycard?"

Jin looked at his bracelet, and a holographic keycard appeared. He grabbed it, and the room number of his dorm appeared.

"Room number 35B." He said.

Brittany nodded. "That’s on the third floor. Every room number without a letter is for the facilities and is on the first floor. The second and third floors are for the dorm rooms."

"The A floor is for the girls, right? I rember you had an A in your room number."

"Yup. I was in room 35A, directly below yours. Good job, I’m glad you rembered."

"It’s just a room number. No need to act proud."

"But it’s nice that you rembered, so let act how I want."

"Whatever."

"Psst, look at them." So girls over to the side pointed toward Jin and Brittany and muttered under their breath.

One girl out of the group, a tall woman, tall for this world’s standard since the average height for won is 6 feet, stepped forward.

She had lean muscles, wore a sports bra that showed off her abs and large boobs, wore sports shorts that showed the definition of her thighs, and had long blonde hair tied in a ponytail.

"Well, if it isn’t my little princess. I wasn’t expecting to see you here." The woman said, not to Brittany, but to Jin.

He sighed, looking the girl straight in the eyes. "Hello, Angela."
