President Zafina felt useless, hopeless, like a failure. She was looking down from an airship that showed the burning of her country. Large cities were already razed to the ground, the enemy military had made strongholds in her territory, and her forces, including the Aegis Corps, were losing badly.

"We can’t win." It was as if her soul had been stripped out of her body, turning her into a husk who couldn’t do anything. Every order she gave out when learning about new information backfired each ti, and it got to the point where she stopped relaying orders entirely.

"Madam President, we need to fall back! If you’re killed, then the chain of command will be in disarray!"

"It doesn’t matter." Zafina slumped in her chair, her voice weak, powerless, and lacking pride. "We’re going to die anyway."

Her assistant got upset and grabbed Zafina’s suit collar and lifted her up into the air.

"Listen here, you shitty president! I followed you every ti you made a shitty decision. I stayed by your side when you led our nation to ruin, and I’m still trying to help you now. So get your chit together and LEAD US!"

This did manage to snap Zafina out of it, but she was still not as upbeat as she once was.

"Wow, that was very touching. It almost makes want to stop this assault...almost."

Zafina and her assistant turned around as they didn’t recognize the voice of the woman walking inside the room.

"Who are you?!" Zafina stood up, and she was prepared to attack. Her secret guards made themselves present and stepped in front of the president to make sure she stayed safe.

"Who am I? You don’t know who I am? Oh, who am I kidding, of course you don’t!" Eve pulled out a chair and took a seat.

"My na is Eve. I’m the one who’s behind all of this." She motioned outside where the war was ongoing.

"What are you talking about?"

"I orchestrated this war. It was pretty easy. For an advanced civilization, people are still the sa and can be manipulated easily."

Zafina held up her hand to have her guards stand down, but still be on alert.

"Care to explain what you’re talking about? Why did you start a war?"

Eve shrugged. "Sure. I need a battlefield."

"A battlefield?"

"Yeah, that’s right. Granted, I also want to make Jin suffer, but this war was to make a battlefield. And by the looks of things, I’d say things are turning out well."

Zafina’s eyes narrowed, and she leaned forward. "What if I just kill you right now?"

"I an, you can try. Would you like to? Co on, try ."

Zafina didn’t fall for the trap and leaned back in her chair. Instead, she had her guards attack Eve.

"Kill her."

They vanished in the blink of an eye and reappeared just as fast, two guards attacking Eve from behind while two attacked her from the front. But right before they could land a killing blow, they all froze and were lifted up into the air, an invisible grip around their necks.

"W-What?!"

"Madam President, stay back!" The assistant lept toward Eve, but she was slapped into the wall with ease, her body bursting like a grape upon impact.

"What a sha, I liked her. Oh well." Eve snapped the necks of the guads and walked toward Zafina. The president couldn’t even use her power as Eve placed her in her magic grip.

"Nnghh! E-Even if you kill , there are people under who will take over after my death!"

"Yeah, I already took care of that." Eve tossed the heads of every single person who was under Eve.

"You’re my last stop."

Zafina’s eyes widened, then she closed them and accepted her fate. Eve killed her.

"Sweet. Now I can watch this country burn and beco a battlefield for the grand finale."

"Eve!" A booming voice rang out in the room.

Eve’s happy expression went dark instantly. "What?"

Two shimring silhouettes made an appearance in front of her, and judging by their non-existent expressions, they were upset.

"It’s been twenty years! When are you going to get this done?!" The man asked

"It’s ONLY been twenty years. You’re a fucking primordial, that’s a fucking nap to you."

"We’ve been watching you this entire ti. You’ve had Jin in your grasp, yet you let him go?!" The woman primordial asked in an angry tone.

"The grand finale wasn’t ready yet. I still have to make a soul for his original body. I’m collecting souls right now, and after that, it should take another 6 months at most to refine them. It needs to be perfect after all."

The primordials growled. "We didn’t resurrect you so you can play gas."

"Oh, but I’m not playing gas at all. I’m working hard, diligently, and patiently. As primordials, I assud you’d understand , but I guess you two are just divine idiots."

"You dare?!" The male primordial lifted Eve up with a thought and started crushing her body.

"You kill , and Jin is out of your hands forever!"

He looked at Eve, then threw her back into her chair. "You have no longer than ten years."

"I don’t even need one year."

"Get your job done!" They both vanished

’Motherfuckers! Once I acquire Jin’s original body and put his soul in it after killing him, I’ll use him to kill you two idiots!’ Eve was only working with those primordials to get what she wanted, not to do what they wanted.

"YUNO!" Eve shouted

"Yes, Madam Eve?" Her assistant ca running into the room.

"Ready the latest clone. It’s ti to start the final act of this ga. We will push Jin to his limits, break him, then kill him."

Eve sat back down and looked outside. She liked the fire and the screams of the suffering. It was unfortunate that the sky was blocked out by the thick black smoke, but in Eve’s eyes, it was a price to pay for satisfaction.

"And once he’s dead, I will burn this planet to the ground."
