After speaking with his mother, Jin fell asleep next to her. She welcod his presence as well, glad that her son wasn’t too grown to sleep next to her. But she was sad that Jin also felt the need to sleep next to her.
She knew that he probably wouldn’t be doing this if it weren’t for the fact that he thought she was dead this whole ti.
It was a sort of trauma response that made him want to stay next to her. But she was still happy that he was by her side. She loved her son, and nothing would change that.
When Jin woke up, he felt extrely weak. It was as if his body had been hit by a truck and was reincarnated into another world, you know, the classic.
"Ugghh! What the fuck?" He rolled off the bed and fell face-first on the floor.
"My waist doesn’t hurt, so I know Brittany didn’t dual cultivate with while I was sleeping. Fuck, but my back is killing . I slept at a bad angle."
"Mmmmm! Wow! I feel so amazing!" Jessa woke up, stretching her arms while also looking rejuvenated. She no longer looked skinny and had her regular, toned, muscular body as Jin rembered. Her eyes were also sparkling with life, and Jin could feel mana surging around her body.
"Y-You thief!" He pointed to her, his hand falling to the ground since he lacked strength.
"Jin!" Jessa jumped out of the bed and picked him up.
"My baby boy! What happened to you?!"
"Y-You did!" Sohow, the phoenix core was absorbing his mana while he slept, using the energy to strengthen Jessa. So for hours, Jin was being drained of power, and so when he woke up, he felt the effects of that.
Jessa didn’t understand what he was talking about, so she assud she accidentally squeezed him too hard while sleeping or sothing.
"What’s wrong!?" Jerrica burst into the room, ready to take down an enemy if there was one present.
"J-Jessa!" She was surprised to see her daughter up, but it was a welco surprise.
"Mother." She replied in a neutral tone.
"Jin, I understand doing , Addison, and Brittany, but your mother as well? That’s just taking things too far." Angela shook her head, walking behind Jerrica.
"Shut up bitch! It’s not like that! Crazy bastard!"
Seeing how nothing was wrong, everyone left and went about their morning.
Jin focused on absorbing mana to replenish his body, and after five minutes, he was ready to go.
"Fucking phoenix core. How can that shit even absorb mana? God dammit." His limbs creaked and cracked as he got up, but after that, he was good to go.
"Mana?" Jessa asked
"Ehh, I’ll explain it to you later. I actually have to go look over sothing right now. It’s unfortunate that we can’t hang out more, but duty calls. Love you, Mom."
"Love you too, sweetie."
Jin left the room and headed to his office.
"Alright, let’s see what my mother was up to for the past 9 years."
---
Jin sat on his couch, ditating, focusing his mind to replay the mories of his first life. It was so far away that it wasn’t that easy to rember, but he stored his mories away in his head like a filing cabinet, allowing him to access them whenever he wanted.
He knew that he needed to look for clues in his first, well, technically, second life, because Eve knew of the na Viron, his na.
In actuality, Viron wasn’t a na, but a title. Jin’s na was Jin in all of his lives, his last na being different each ti. The reason why he was called Viron was that he was a Hero in his second-ever life.
In that world, the first hero was nad Viron, and he slayed the demon king, pretty classic. So, after that mont, every Hero who ca after him would be granted the Title of Viron to not only honor the first hero, but to give the current hero good luck.
So Jin’s na in that life was Viron Jin...whatever his last na was. People would also call him Sir Viron.
He had a lot of enemies who wished him dead, and even more who hated him without wishing him dead. It was hard to pinpoint who Eve was. Even if not every one of his enemies was a man, dwindling the potential candidates, that was still a lot of won to choose from.
He tried rembering the mana signature he felt in Ally’s mind, but he wasn’t able to find it at all.
"Who could she be?" He wondered
"Who could whom be?" Angela asked, walking into his office.
"I’m trying to figure out who Madam Eve is. Our enemy, who is the leader of Eden’s Garden."
"Oh, her." Angela took a seat next to Jin, grabbed him by the shirt, lifted him up, and then sat him on her lap.
"Is this necessary?" He asked
"Absolutely." She smirked
He didn’t bother complaining. "You see, Eve knew of a na I was called by in my second-ever life. Viron. That life was...Well, I was full of shit in that life. Lost a lot of people close to , made a shit ton of enemies, and I was high off my fantasy novels and shit."
"Your practice world."
He nodded. "Basically. I can say with certainty that my death was loved by many in that world. While the people praised , those who actually knew what was going on behind the scenes hated . So it’s hard to know who she is."
"Maybe she isn’t from your previous life."
Jin shook his head. "That wouldn’t make any sense. She knows sothing that happened millions of years ago. Only Gods who knew of would be around long enough to rember those events. Even if you reach the pinnacle of power as a mortal, you can only live for hundreds of thousands of years naturally. Maybe a million if you have so sort of artifact."
"Hmm. Maybe those supre beings you ran away from told her about you and want you dead." She hugged him tightly and nuzzled his neck.
Jin actually never thought of that. Supre beings were Primordial Gods. That was as supre as it got, besides the Progenitor of the universe and his son. But he was friends with them, so he knew that they wouldn’t be after him.
Also, Jin knew that those Primordial beings who fucked with him weren’t governing this part of the universe because if they were, then they would have found him by now.
"Could it be?"
