Jin wasted no ti, attacking the speaker instantly as he didn’t care what the man had to say. He was going to read his mind and find out everything there was about him.
But just as Jin took one step, ten people appeared out of nowhere, surrounding him. These won were no joke either. All of their powers were on the level of Angela and Addison.
Jin ca to a halt, assessing the situation before he acted again.
"Let’s have a chat, shall we?" The speaker asked, pulling up a chair to sit on.
"Why are you here?"
"Is that the first question you wish to—"
Jin tried shooting mana blasts from his eyes, but one of the won stopped them.
"Ohohoho! Clever, but these won around are not ones to be ssed with. You see, Jin, I’ve had enough of you interfering with my plans, with my goals, with my conquest. I’m going to need you to stop."
A sigh escaped Jin’s mouth. "Where’s Angela, Brittany, and Addison? I won’t ask again."
"How dare you—" As quickly as this woman spoke, her head flew off just as fast.
While she was strong, Jin was still sowhat stronger. No, it wasn’t right to say that. He wasn’t stronger, but because the world contained mana, he was able to draw upon it to boost his own personal mana.
"Impressive. But she was the weakest out of the bunch, so it’s not that impressive."
"Speak, while you still can."
"Hmm. If you truly wish to know where your little girlfriends are, then here, take a look." The speaker tossed Jin a holocube where a video appeared out of thin air.
In the video, it showed Angela, Brittany, and Addison getting their powers stripped, then they were beaten by the Sons of Adam.
Jin nearly exploded from anger, but he kept it in.
"What do you want?" Jin asked, his voice shaky because of how angry he was.
"I want you gone. But you’re like a cockroach; it’s hard to kill you. So, I took your friends instead. It was pretty easy, having people on the inside of the Aegis Corps and all. With one command, I can ruin your whole life. So, Jin, I will offer you a deal."
Jin wasn’t interested, but he entertained the speaker. While he listened, he started absorbing mana from all over, strengthening himself more than normal. He was going to do sothing dangerous, sothing that could kill him, but he didn’t care. He needed to find his loved ones, and he would do anything in his power to do so.
"I wont ask you to join us, but we will get out of your hair, if you stay out of ours. Take it or leave it."
Jin wasn’t impressed. "Pass."
"Well, I tried. Bye now." The speaker turned around, and the space around him, as well as the other won, was displaced to outside of his apartnt window.
The space displacent took him off guard since he didn’t expect anyone to have that technology, but he recalled back to his conversation with Carlnitus and how he asked Jin how space displacent worked.
"You motherfuc—" His apartnt exploded, destroying the Aegis Corps apartnts, causing the upper part of the building to start falling toward the ground,
Jin was so shocked, so stunned that the Speaker would do such a thing, but also because the Speaker was right under his nose. It made him so angry that he couldn’t even be angry anymore.
He was standing still, perfectly fine and unaffected by the explosion. His eyes locked with the Speaker and his won in a flying vehicle, fleeing the scene. Jin took one breath, then took off so fast that the fire around the apartnt was instantly put out.
Over in the vehicle that the speaker was riding in, he checked his schedule to see what else he had to do.
"When will the satellite be ready?"
"In three days ti, sir. Everything is prepared, and the project has been a success. Though there are a lot a failures, and so of the n who ’succeeded’ lost their minds, so we have to control them like robots."
"That’s fine. We were going to be controlling everyone like that as well, anyway. Prepare our forces, be ready to destabilize the police, military, and Aegis Corps. Soon, this city, then country, will be ours. After that, we’ll send our people to foreign countries so they can start preparing for our takeover there."
"Yes, Sir Speaker."
"Uhh, is a missile coming at us?" One of the won asked
"The vehicle is cloaked and isn’t emitting any signals. We aren’t visible to anyone or on any device right now." The speaker reassured her.
"W-Wait! Is that...Jin?!"
Everyone turned around to see Jin flying toward them extrely fast.
"What? What is he doing? Why isn’t he helping the people in the apartnts? Is he mad?" The speaker studied Jin and knew that he always helped out in tis of crisis, so he expected him to do the sa thing here, but he miscalculated.
"I’ll handle him!" One woman with the power to control space and gravity rocketed toward Jin, only to be blown into pieces.
Jin wasn’t just absorbing mana; he was forcefully breaking through to the next stage of power, destroying his body in the process. He didn’t care about the consequences a the mont, especially since he knew how to heal himself and fix the damage that would co from doing this.
All he wanted to do was see what was inside the speaker’s mind, then kill him and rescue his loved ones.
"You’re fucking dead!" Jin charged up a ball of mana so intense that it started to burn the air. When he fired the ball, it created a sound so loud that nearby glass shattered without warning.
"Hang on!" The car was instantly vaporized, nearly killing all of the occupants on board.
The speaker was wearing a power kit, so he was okay, and he started flying to safety while the remaining eight won tead up to take on Jin
"We wont let you get to the speaker."
Jin’s voice was calm, so calm that it was terrifying. "Once I’m through with you, you’d wish that you stayed your asses ho, because I’m going to kill you all in the worst ways possible."
