Danny stood at a safe distance, observing the scene unfold before him. His classmate, Star, a friend of the ever-popular Pauline, was casually chatting with a suave, older man. The sight made Danny uneasy.
"I don't think she'd stoop so low as to... No, this doesn't make sense. Could she be into older n?" Danny wondered, his mind racing as Naruto's cryptic words echoed in his head: "Danny, it's ti for so heroism."
That single phrase spurred him into action, pushing aside his doubts and judgnts. Danny silently tailed them, careful not to draw attention.
As they reached a modest house, the scene shifted. The house was alive with loud music and flashing lights. People were spilling out onto the lawn, dancing and laughing in what appeared to be a typical party.
Danny frowned. "This... doesn't feel right. What am I even doing here?" he muttered under his breath.
Naruto's voice rang out in his head again, clear and foreboding: "You are going to see the world your parents belong to."
The cryptic statent sent a chill down Danny's spine, but it also provided clarity. "Ghosts!" he thought, his eyes narrowing.
"Correct," Naruto replied in his mind, his tone firm. "Now choose your skills before the situation escalates."
Danny took a deep breath, his heart pounding. Fear tried to creep in, but he shoved it aside. He had already faced the wrath of Naruto and endured pain that felt worse than death. Nothing—not even an unknown ghost—could break him now.
Focusing on the nu of abilities he had access to, Danny considered his options. In the past, he might have chosen sothing flashy to impress others. But now, survival was his only priority.
"Give the Movent Skill," Danny thought, making his selection.
The mont he chose, a wave of knowledge surged through him. His body tingled as he felt an undeniable change. His steps beca lighter, his posture smoother, and an innate understanding of movent flowed into his mind.
Danny glanced at a nearby partygoer, noting the way the man moved. It was as if he could see the path the man would take before he even stepped forward.
"So this is what Naruto's been using," Danny realized. "It's not just about fighting—it's about how you move, how you control your body, and how you predict your opponent."
Feeling a newfound confidence, Danny straightened up. The chaotic energy of the party suddenly seed less overwhelming. He wasn't just a spectator anymore; he was ready to act.
He stepped closer to the house, his movents now so fluid that no one even noticed him.
Danny's heart pounded as Naruto's voice resonated in his mind.
"Good choice, and as a gift, I will award you with the Riding Skill. Now welco to the real world."
Danny's vision shifted, and the ordinary house party warped into a nightmarish scene. The house was laced with glowing green strings that pulsed like veins, emanating from the heart of the building and tethered to every partygoer. Each string shimred faintly, pulsating as if feeding on the very life of the people inside.
A wave of nausea hit Danny. The grotesque sight made his head spin as he clutched it, trying to steady his thoughts.
"I'll show you the way this one ti," Naruto's voice cut through Danny's panic, cold and commanding. "Let remind you: think outside the box. Everything is a weapon. If you can't beat sothing, it's because you haven't used enough violence or destruction. Now, take the girl and start a fire. Make sure it spreads."
Danny froze. "I'll go to jail if I get caught!"
"They'll all die if you don't act soon."
Naruto's words weighed heavily on Danny's shoulders. The strings seed to pulse more aggressively as if aware of his hesitation. He clenched his fists, realizing the dire stakes. There was no room for doubt.
Gritting his teeth, Danny slipped into the house, his steps swift and ghost-like. The party was a blur of thumping music, drunken laughter, and glazed-over eyes. Moving through the crowd unnoticed, he spotted Star sitting on a couch in the corner, surrounded by n. She was drinking and laughing, her movents loose and unnatural, as smoke curled lazily around her.
Danny's stomach turned. "No ti for hesitation."
He moved swiftly to the kitchen, grabbing a bottle of strong alcohol and a lighter. Without hesitation, he darted upstairs, ignoring the muffled sounds of pleasure from the closed doors. Finding an unoccupied room, he burst in, startling a couple in the throes of intimacy.
"Out!" he barked, his voice sharp and commanding.
The couple, dazed and drugged, barely resisted as Danny shoved them out. He doused the room with alcohol, lit the lighter, and dropped it. Flas roared to life instantly, licking at the walls with ferocity.
Without pausing to watch, Danny sprinted back downstairs. The strings in the house seed to shiver in response, and the temperature dropped sharply. His skin prickled as the ghostly DJ, a tall humanoid figure with a blank mask, turned its head unnaturally to look directly at him.
Danny felt its rage. He didn't wait to understand it.
Rushing to Star, he grabbed her arm. "Star, we need to leave!" he said, tugging her forcefully.
She resisted weakly, giggling in a drunken haze as she leaned into him, planting sloppy kisses on his face.
"Not the ti or place!" Danny hissed, yanking her up.
The n around her glared, their eyes glowing faintly green. "What the hell do you think you're doing?" one of them growled, advancing.
Danny didn't reply. He adjusted his grip on Star and bolted for the nearest window. The ghost howled in fury, its scream reverberating through the air and sending chills down his spine.
Without hesitation, Danny leapt through the window, twisting mid-air to shield Star from the glass shards. They hit the ground with a thud, but Danny had tid the jump perfectly, avoiding major cuts.
He pulled Star to her feet, his heart racing as he dialed 911 on his phone. "There's a fire! Please help—at this address!" he shouted, his voice trembling with urgency before hanging up.
The ghost's enraged scream echoed again, and the house party turned into chaos. The green strings seed to sever one by one, and the people inside, now with glowing eyes, spilled out of the house like a horde.
Danny ran, dragging Star behind him. She clung to him, her senses slowly returning. "Danny..." she murmured weakly.
But there was no ti to stop. The crowd, driven by the ghost's fury, pursued them with unnatural speed.
Danny's mind raced. He could move faster without Star, but abandoning her wasn't an option. Not because of heroism, but because Naruto would kill him if he did.
The thought made him grit his teeth. "Keep moving. Keep her safe. Survive."
Danny's legs burned as he pushed himself harder, the green glow from the mob behind him closing in.
Star felt as though she were floating in a dream. The world around her swirled, her mind foggy and unfocused. She giggled uncontrollably, the sound echoing in the stillness of the night as Danny dragged her along. Her dazed state frustrated him—she was dead weight, and the urgency of their situation didn't allow for patience.
Gritting his teeth, Danny did the only thing he could: he scooped her up into his arms and ran.
The neighborhood was quiet, lined with houses that could offer safety, but Danny knew better than to involve anyone else. A wrong move could get him shot or make the situation even worse. The house behind them was now ablaze, the flas licking the night sky. As the fire spread, the ghost's influence on the crowd weakened. The possessed partygoers slowed, their glowing eyes dimming as they stumbled, their control slipping.
Danny thought he was in the clear until he heard the ghost's enraged scream. It echoed unnaturally, and he turned to see one man remain standing, his body emanating a sickly green glow. The ghost had abandoned its grip on the others and fully possessed this one.
The man—no, the monster—cracked its knuckles, its eyes burning with malevolent energy as it locked onto Danny.
Danny's heart sank. "How am I supposed to handle a ghost-powered human?" he thought, his mind racing. There was no ti to think further. The possessed man charged toward him with inhuman speed.
Danny stopped running, knowing there was no point in trying to escape anymore. He gently placed Star down on the empty road behind him and turned to face the oncoming threat. His eyes darted around, searching for anything he could use as a weapon.
A pile of planks leaning against the bushes of a nearby lawn caught his eye. Without hesitation, he sprinted toward them.
"Sorry about this!" he muttered, grabbing one of the wooden planks.
The monster lunged at him just as Danny swung the plank with all his might. The wood connected with the creature's shoulder, the impact forcing it to stumble sideways. Danny's hand throbbed from the strike, the force rattling through his arm as the plank slipped from his grasp. The monster barely flinched, its glowing green eyes snapping back to Danny as it charged again.
Danny braced himself, panic rising. He had no idea how to fight sothing like this. His thoughts raced wildly, grasping at anything that might help.
"Sing!"
The thought ca from nowhere, absurd and desperate. But Danny clung to it. He rembered tales where ghosts had strange, often ridiculous, weaknesses. If this ghost was tied to being a DJ, maybe his singing—particularly his awful tone-deaf singing—could disrupt it.
Taking a deep breath, he scread out a song at the top of his lungs:
"So everything that makes whole
Belongs to you, I'll give you my heart and soul
I'm yours!"
The effect was imdiate. The ghost recoiled, its hands flying to its ears as a horrified screech tore from its host. Danny saw his chance and continued, his voice rising even louder, despite the pain from the monster's earlier scratches.
"Hey, I've never laughed like this in my life
Forgetting all of the bitter strife—"
The possessed man staggered, the ghost visibly writhing in agony as Danny's terrible singing continued. Finally, it couldn't take it anymore. The ghost shrieked one last ti and ejected itself from the man's body, the green glow fading as it vanished into the night.
Danny gasped for air, his shoulders aching and his body trembling from adrenaline. The man collapsed unconscious, free from the ghost's control. Danny didn't stick around to check on him. He rushed back to Star, who stood where he'd left her, swaying slightly with a dreamy, unfocused smile.
"You're a ss," Danny muttered, shaking his head as he picked her up again.
Star mumbled incoherently, sothing about him being her hero, but he ignored her. She was still out of it, and there was no ti to waste. He carried her to his bike, set her down, and coaxed her into giving him her address.
It took a frustratingly long ti, but he eventually pieced together the directions and made his way to her ho.
Star's house was a sprawling mansion, its gates guarded by uniford n. Danny felt out of place as he pulled up, Star still slumped against him.
One of the guards approached, his expression a mixture of concern and suspicion. "What happened?"
"She ran off to so party," Danny explained bluntly, handing Star over. "She's fine, just out of it. Make sure she gets inside."
The guards nodded, taking her from him. Danny watched as they carried Star through the gates, her incoherent mumbling fading into the distance.
With a heavy sigh, Danny turned his bike around and rode off, exhaustion weighing on him. Tonight had been a nightmare, but sohow, he'd survived.
