969: Chapter 974: Sorry

It seems to confirm what Ye Qiao had said, as the courtyard was soon filled with the miserable barking of a dog.

Su Tang recognized it as a cry for help.

Glancing through the window—

A white tiger, slightly larger than the dog, was baring its teeth and snarling at it.

The dog’s tail was tightly tucked, and upon closer inspection, all four of its legs were trembling, its eyes were bulging enormously, and its voice was pitch-shifted.

Little Gaiya, transford into the little white tiger, charged forward with a grunt, and the dog yelped in terror and began to sprint wildly around the courtyard.

Seeing this, Little Gaiya beca even more excited in the chase.

Su Tang drew her gaze back and smiled at Ye Qiao, “It’s just children horsing around, no need to interfere, let’s get cooking.”

Ye Qiao sighed, casting a sowhat pitying glance out the window at the dog, and said no more.

In the ti that followed, the two of them focused intently on the thod of making a cream fruit cake.

After toiling for more than an hour, they actually succeeded in making it.

Although the taste fell far short of what they had on Blue Star, the rich and velvety texture of the cream was still quite good, a unique creation in Beast World.

Setting the cake on the table, Su Tang called out to the outside, “Yaya, doggy, co back and eat.”

Before long—

Yaya was the first to rush back, her bangs soaked, and her eyes sparkling energetically.

Upon seeing the fruit-laden cream cake on the table, she exclaid in awe, “Wow, what’s this?

It looks so beautiful!”

Ye Qiao caught Yaya by the back of her clothes, preventing her from getting closer to the table.

Frowning slightly, he said, “Go wash your face and hands, look at you, what a ss!

Where’s the dog?

Why only you?”

Yaya pointed toward the doorway, “Isn’t that it over there?

I’m off to wash my hands now!”

With that, as though to avoid sothing, Yaya hurriedly ran off.

Su Tang looked in the direction Yaya had indicated and saw the dog returning with a woeful limp.

Its originally glossy black fur now had several patches nibbled bald, though it wasn’t bloody, just the disorderly and dusty appearance of the fur made the dog look utterly disgraceful.

The sorry state alone was enough to guess who was responsible.

Su Tang struggled to hide her amusent to maintain what dignity the dog had left.

Clearing her throat uncomfortably with a light cough, she said, “I made a cream fruit cake, want a piece?”

“Woof!” Yes!

Su Tang nodded, took the knife and fork, and cut a large piece for the dog, placing it before him.

Seeing the dog enjoying the cake, Ye Qiao couldn’t help but ask in a low voice, “Is this really a system and not a real dog?

Is it alright to eat so much cream?”

After pondering for a mont, Su Tang stroked her chin, “It should be fine, I guess?

Or just think of it as an omnivore wearing the dog’s skin?”

anwhile, Yaya had returned from the washroom and saw the disheveled dog, her eyes slightly evasive.

Far from her usual liveliness, she quietly sat down at the dinner table.

It was apparent that Little Gaiya might have realized she had been too rough with the dog today.

Su Tang and Ye Qiao exchanged glances, and without saying a word, they cut the cake and sat down to eat quietly.

Throughout this ti, Yaya’s heart was pounding, and after one or two bites, she couldn’t help but sneak peeks at the faces of Su Tang and Ye Qiao.

The cake, though fluffy and delicious, tasted like wax in her mouth, making Yaya feel enormously uncomfortable.

Finally, after another bite of the cake, Yaya couldn’t hold back any longer.

She hung her head in sha, “Mom, sister-in-law, I’m sorry…”
