466: Chapter 467: Old Affairs 4

After finishing his statent, Wen Jue planned to leave.

He had initially heard the roar of the oxen beast during his sleep, realizing soone had unintentionally provoked the creature.

He had co out to drive away the beast that had disturbed his sleep, intending to return and catch up on his rest.

Aqi stopped Wen Jue, “Where are you going?”

Wen Jue looked at Aqi in bewildernt, “What’s it to you?”

Aqi’s cheeks heated up, she thought to herself how fortunate it was night; the darkness would hide her blush.

This baffled Wen Jue even more, “Why are you blushing?”

Aqi stiffened, she had forgotten that beastn had night vision!

Having been directly called out by Wen Jue, Aqi felt even more embarrassed.

The tiny bit of affection she felt for him for saving them vanished into thin air.

Hai Qin quickly stepped in to steer the conversation, “We are from the rmaid Tribe on a training excursion.

I’m Hai Qin, she’s Aqi, and you?”

Wen Jue nodded indifferently, “White Tiger Tribe, Wen Jue.”

Having said that, he planned to detour around the two of them and hurry back to his little cave for so sleep.

Hai Qin and Aqi looked at each other, not understanding Wen Jue’s thought process.

Was he really just leaving?

Just like that?

Nevertheless, seeing him not planning to turn back, Hai Qin quickly dragged Aqi with him to catch up.

Wen Jue was truly tired.

He noticed the two of them were following him, but he didn’t care—he assud they were rely going the sa way—so he didn’t say anything.

He arrived at the small cave he had accidentally found earlier, and fell asleep imdiately.

At least now nobody could disturb him.

Outside the cave, Hai Qin and Aqi glanced at each other before setting up a small fire.

They settled down to sleep at the cave entrance without entering the cave but also without leaving.

So when Wen Jue woke up the next day—

He looked at the two of them sleeping at his cave entrance in silence: “….”

….

Just like that, unexpectedly, Firefly Forest had gained a three-person group.

Two with water elental superpowers, one with gold elental superpower.

Though these power sets seed unrelated, these three always managed to co up with an assortnt of bizarre ideas when together.

They spent their days amusing themselves by teasing the various wild beasts of Firefly Forest, especially the oxen beast.

It was toyed with by them almost every day, leaving the oxen beast, with its limited intelligence, on the brink of a stroke!

Finally, one day, after having tornted all the wild beasts in Firefly Forest, the trio decided to explore the forests farther away.

As they decided, they left that very night.

They packed their bags and leisurely departed from Firefly Forest under the cover of darkness.

When the wild beasts of Firefly Forest learnt that the three little tyrants had left, they were so relieved that they almost shed buckets of tears.

….

The closest to Firefly Forest was the Xiluo Forest, where the Sky Swallowing Python Clan resided.

Xiluo Forest was nad after the unique Xiluo Trees found here.

Xiluo Trees were a type of tree that ‘wept.’ If their branches were broken, a transparent mucus would ooze from the broken ends.

Initially, the mucus would be very sticky, but it would gradually beco less so and eventually form into a sowhat soft transparent substance.

However, if you tried to burn it, it would produce an intolerable burnt sll.

Upon arriving here, Aqi was fascinated.

She would often snap off a branch from the Xiluo tree to play with, holding it up to Hai Qin and Wen Jue occasionally, “Take a look, isn’t it interesting?”

Hai Qin curled his lip and leaned away disdainfully, “Gross!”
