122: Chapter 122: Leaving the Tribe 2

When everyone landed in the nearby forest, they were sowhat stunned by the scene before them.

They hadn’t felt much while flying above the treetops, but once on the ground they realized the full extent of the damage from the disaster.

Many large trees were shaken, revealing large chunks of their roots, and the ground was cracking like parched earth – the entire forest was riddled with wounds.

Up ahead was a cliff strewn with broken stones, many of which were stained with blood.

The forest was quiet; aside from them, there were no traces of any other living entities.

Had they arrived too late?

Had Beastn of this tribe all died, or had they already evacuated?

The Beastn of the Winged Tiger Tribe, who had been flying with passengers for over an hour, looked completely worn out.

With a somber expression, Gaiyin said, “Rest here until dawn!”

“Mountain Shield, Keli, you go and check the rocks for any Beastn that are still alive!

Old Nick, go see if there are any dicinal herbs nearby to help our tribesn with their wounds.

Yadang, lead those who are uninjured to hunt for food.

We need to restore our energy.”

He efficiently organized everything.

Just as Su Tang was about to raise her hand to say she could help, she was suddenly pulled aside by Gaiyin into a dense forest.

The Beastn looked at each other bewildered.

Gaiyin harshly threw Su Tang into the dense undergrowth.

Wincing from the pain, Su Tang rubbed her bottom and looked up at Gaiyin with a resentful expression, about to question his actions.

She was startled by the close-up view of his face.

Backing away warily, Su Tang stamred, “What, what are you doing?”

Gaiyin’s face was grim, his eyes filled with rage, as if he wanted to skin her alive.

Gaiyin was looming over Su Tang, the quiet atmosphere seeming to add a flirtatious note as their breaths intermingled, as if everything was tinted with pink!

With a tree at her back, Su Tang had nowhere else to go.

She dug her fingers deeply into the grass, pressing her legs against Gaiyin’s chest to prevent him from getting any closer.

“Gaiyin, we, we can talk things through, could you please, please get up!”

Gaiyin’s hands were resting on either side of Su Tang’s shoulders; he could overpower her without much effort if he wanted to.

His voice was dark and rough, full of suppressed anger as he asked, “Why?”

For a mont, Su Tang looked sowhat dumbfounded, she looked at Gaiyin with confusion, “Huh?

What do you an why?”

‘Creaking…’

Su Tang recognized the sound; it was the sound of Gaiyin’s fists clenching.

Imdiately after, Gaiyin fiercely punched the tree behind Su Tang; his fist sank halfway into the trunk.

Gaiyin said in a gritted voice, word for word, “Why, go, to, the, cave.”

With her heart trembling, Su Tang really wanted to retrieve Gaiyin’s fist from the tree to check if he was hurt, but she didn’t dare.

Confronted by Gaiyin’s wrath-filled gaze, Su Tang cowered back, stamring, “I, I was, was just worried the tribe might be cold, isn’t it said, the winters are freezing, it gets so cold, so… so… um…”

She stared in disbelief, her body numb all of a sudden.

In the enlarged black vertical pupils in front of her, all she could see was her own reflection.
