Annie Anne was montarily stunned when she entered and saw Oliver Hudson standing in the hospital room.

But her gaze lingered on Oliver Hudson only for a mont before shifting to Charlotte Thompson, and she walked towards her.

"I looked at the report. It seems you’re recovering well and should be able to be discharged in a few days."

Annie Anne handed the report to Charlotte Thompson and, noticing where she was standing, glanced at the slightly open window. Annie Anne reached out to support Charlotte Thompson.

"But you should still be careful for now. Why is the window open? What if you catch a cold?"

Saying this, Annie Anne walked to the window and closed it, but she seed to quickly realize Charlotte Thompson had gotten up to do sothing.

So, she adjusted the curtains to let the sunlight through into the room.

"The weather is already so warm now; it’s fine."

Charlotte Thompson smiled at Annie Anne, but her gaze couldn’t help but wander between her and Oliver Hudson.

Ever since Annie Anne ca in, Oliver Hudson hadn’t said much, just stood quietly.

But it was obvious that his gaze was always following Annie Anne, and his expression was extrely complex.

Annie Anne wasn’t stupid; how could she not notice Oliver Hudson’s gaze?

Her hand pressed at the hem of her shirt tightened slightly, and after taking a deep breath, she said to Charlotte Thompson, "Then you rest well for now. I won’t disturb you."

On her way out, Annie Anne glanced at Oliver Hudson, and together they left the hospital room.

There weren’t many people in the corridor, and this quiet environnt made the sound of breathing very noticeable.

"I..."

"Why did you co?"

Oliver Hudson and Annie Anne spoke almost simultaneously, their voices overlapping, and their gazes eting in midair as they lifted their eyes.

An inexplicable atmosphere spread, and it was Annie Anne who first looked away, then sat down beside him.

The chair was sowhat cool; the warmth in Annie Anne’s hands was taken away the mont she pressed her palm down. She instinctively clasped her hands and first spoke:

"How’s the recovery of your wounds?"

Although Oliver Hudson had been discharged, he still needed to have his wounds dressed regularly.

Since Annie Anne left the hospital, she hadn’t had much contact with Oliver Hudson, and now eting again, she was trying hard to find a topic.

"Pretty much healed."

Oliver Hudson responded calmly, looking at Annie Anne sitting on the chair, emotions like waves surging in his eyes, swallowing the reflection of Annie Anne within them.

"I’m sorry. If it weren’t for , you wouldn’t have been so severely injured."

Annie Anne bit her lips.

During this ti, Annie Anne had thought a lot, and that thought had been budding in her heart for a long while, but Annie Anne had never had the courage to admit it.

Now, perhaps it’s an opportunity.

"Annie, you don’t need to apologize."

Oliver Hudson sighed, always so gentle when facing Annie Anne.

A sour feeling filled her heart, the extra part like it had transford into a hand, gently nudging Annie Anne on the back, urging her to stand up from the chair and face Oliver Hudson.

A voice sounded in Annie Anne’s ear.

Clearly, she had already made a choice, so now... why hesitate here?
