As the doctors said, this miscarriage caused significant harm to Charlotte Thompson’s body.

Although she has recovered quite a bit over the past few days of rest, Charlotte’s complexion is still sowhat pale, looking very worn out.

"I never expected it to turn out like this this ti."

When Annie Anne turned around with a cup of water, she noticed Charlotte sitting on the hospital bed with a sowhat vacant look in her eyes.

This made Annie sigh inwardly, then she reached out and waved a hand in front of Charlotte.

Seeing Charlotte co back to her senses, Annie placed the cup into her hand.

"How are you feeling now?"

"Didn’t they say it was all fine now."

Charlotte lowered her head, looking at the ripples in the cup caused by her gentle movents, and spoke lightly.

Seeing Charlotte’s expression, Annie’s eyes flickered slightly. She pulled over a chair and sat down.

"I know, sothing like this, no matter who it happens to..."

"I’m just terrified now. If at that mont Riley hadn’t dashed in front of , instead the children had been that close to her, if she had directly rushed toward the children, what then..."

But before Charlotte could finish speaking, Annie quickly interrupted her.

"Charlotte, it’s all over now, everything’s fine."

Annie also clearly understood that ever since the accident during the wedding, Charlotte had been attributing all the bla to herself.

Whether it was her physical problems or the fright the children experienced, these things weighed heavily on Charlotte’s heart, causing her already wan body to show no signs of improvent.

The physical wounds could gradually heal, but the inner trauma couldn’t disappear overnight.

At that mont, there was a gentle knock on the door of the hospital room, and Annie turned to see Vincent along with several other doctors coming in for rounds.

After the doctors routinely asked a few questions and then left the room, Vincent paused.

"Charlotte, how are you feeling now?" Vincent looked at Charlotte in front of him with worried eyes.

"I..."

Charlotte intended to say she was okay, but the words got stuck in her throat and she couldn’t get them out.

Tightening her grip on the cup in her hand, Charlotte slowly lifted her gaze, and when she spoke, there was a slight tremble in her voice.

"So, my chances of getting pregnant again in the future are quite low, aren’t they?"

In fact, Charlotte had asked this question before.

But at that ti, Vincent was worried that Charlotte’s emotions would get too intense, so he only gave her a vague answer.

Now, seeing Charlotte ask the question again knowingly, Vincent could only give a helpless sigh, ignoring Annie’s sideways glance, and nodded honestly to Charlotte.

"Your body was already sowhat weak, and the last ti you were pregnant with triplets, which is an enormous burden on the body, not to ntion this ti, when your abdon suffered a severe impact. It affected not only the child but also caused significant harm to the body."

Although Vincent knew these words were incredibly cruel, he still chose to tell Charlotte.

Charlotte pressed her lips lightly together, her eyes showing a hint of daze.

Seeing the expression on Charlotte’s face, Vincent lowered his arms, and when he spoke, there was a shadow in his voice:

"You’ve been pregnant for almost two months; how co Justin Battleson didn’t know at all?"
