Soon, the light in the ergency room went out.

The doctor was taken aback when he saw the swarm of people in the corridor.

Annie Anne arrived with the children at this mont. Seeing the doctor exiting the ergency room, the children couldn’t wait to ask about Charlotte Thompson’s condition.

"The patient’s abdon was impacted; the baby couldn’t be saved." The doctor removed his mask and sighed slowly.

"Moreover, the patient’s health wasn’t good initially. This miscarriage could cause long-term damage."

"What do you an by that?" Felix Thompson questioned.

"The patient might not be able to conceive again," the doctor answered seriously.

"Nonsense! I brought Charlotte to your hospital to get her treated, and now you’re telling she’s hard?"

Jonathan Thompson, the most hot-tempered, rushed up to the doctor. His imposing figure startled the doctor considerably.

"Jonathan," Jas Thompson called out, pulling him back, then turned to look at Justin Battleson.

"Go check on Charlotte."

At this mont, Justin Battleson was fully focused on Charlotte. Even if Jas hadn’t said anything, Justin had already started heading toward the ward.

Charlotte lay unconscious on the hospital bed, her face extrely pale and fragile, as if a gust of wind could make her disappear.

Justin held Charlotte’s cold hand in his palm, his face full of regret and guilt.

After an unknown amount of ti, he noticed Charlotte’s eyelashes quiver, making Justin’s heart tighten instantly. He unconsciously tightened his grip on Charlotte’s hand.

"Charlotte..."

Justin called softly, watching as Charlotte slowly regained consciousness.

She appeared sowhat confused but vaguely felt pain across her body, causing her slender brows to furrow.

"Justin... what happened to ?" Charlotte asked painfully, feeling so weak she couldn’t even lift her hand.

"It’s okay, Charlotte, you’re okay."

Justin kissed Charlotte’s fingertips, his voice deep and comforting, yet with a subtle tremor.

Just then, the door of the ward was pushed open, and to Charlotte’s surprise, Vincent walked in.

He looked serious, seemingly holding Charlotte’s dical report.

Once he saw Charlotte awake, he quickly approached the bed and said solemnly,

"Charlotte, you’ve been pregnant for almost two months—how did this happen?"

"Pregnant?"

Upon hearing those words, Charlotte widened her eyes in shock.

She had thought her discomfort these past days was due to sothing she ate, never considering this possibility.

However, Vincent’s next words made the joy that had just erged in Charlotte’s heart vanish completely.

"Do you know that this miscarriage has caused significant harm to your body?"

Charlotte’s lips quivered, and her eyes beca vacant.

"How could this... happen..."

She rembered the impact on her abdon.

Today was supposed to be a very good day, so she chose to hold her wedding with Justin Battleson now.

But why does she have to hear such news now?

Unnoticed, tears had welled up in Charlotte’s eyes and trickled down as she turned her head.

"Justin, is our child gone?"
