Seeing that Annie Anne had no reaction, Campbell Prickly boldly moved a few steps closer to her.

"I don’t know what happened between you and Oliver Hudson, but I feel that being with him doesn’t make you happy."

"What?"

After hearing Campbell Prickly’s words, a hint of hesitation flashed across Annie Anne’s eyes.

As Campbell Prickly said, once upon a ti, being with Oliver Hudson was just mutual tornt for Annie Anne, rely her personal revenge.

But now, Annie Anne’s feelings were quietly changing.

Annie Anne felt that if this incident hadn’t happened, perhaps she would have soon co clean with Oliver Hudson, and their ultimate outco might only be separation.

"Mr. Prickly, I think you might be mistaking..."

But before Annie Anne could finish her sentence, Campbell Prickly interrupted her.

"I attended an interview with you. When reporters ntioned Oliver Hudson in front of you, although you hid it well, I still noticed sothing was off about your emotions. If you truly loved him, why show such resistance when others ntion him?"

The more serious Campbell Prickly’s expression beca, the more awkward Annie Anne felt in her heart.

After all, whatever the relationship or developnt between her and Oliver Hudson, Annie Anne had no hesitation in turning down Campbell Prickly’s confession.

To her, Campbell Prickly was nothing more than an idol, soone to admire. She never thought about these things.

"Mr. Prickly, thank you for your affection, but I’m sorry, I can’t accept your feelings," Annie Anne said, her voice without the slightest hesitation.

"I should be the one apologizing. Perhaps I took the initiative to ruin the very good friendship we had," Campbell Prickly shook his head at Annie Anne, his face still with that gentle smile.

Hearing Campbell Prickly’s words, Annie Anne’s initial tension slightly eased.

"I didn’t expect my first confession to fail so badly, being rejected without a chance," Campbell Prickly said lightly, though his expression remained relaxed and without excessive emotion.

"First confession?"

Annie Anne was taken aback, instinctively murmuring, "It can’t be."

"What, do I look like a playboy to you?" Campbell Prickly raised his eyebrows at Annie Anne, a smile with a hint of aning curling at his lips as he lifted his gaze.

"Ah... no, no, but with Mr. Prickly being so outstanding, there must be many pursuing you, right?"

"No matter how many pursue , so what? I can’t win over the one I like," Campbell Prickly sighed with a hint of frustration.

Annie Anne, understanding the implication of his words, didn’t know how to respond and could only shyly lower her head.

Afterward, Annie Anne saw Campbell Prickly reach out his hand to her.

"Can I have a hug? After the hug, I’ll give up the thoughts I shouldn’t have, and we can be friends again, okay?"

"Okay."

Annie Anne did not refuse Campbell Prickly’s request and stepped forward to hug him, but she failed to notice the smile spreading in his eyes.

After the hug, Campbell Prickly asked Annie Anne about her reason for coming to the hospital.
