Right afterwards, more and more people gathered around Charlotte Thompson and Annie Anne.

This forced Charlotte to tightly clutch Annie’s arm to avoid being separated by the crowd.

However, compared to the bewildernt on Charlotte’s face, Annie seed unperturbed and even quite willing to sign autographs for the onlookers.

Charlotte had never seen this side of Annie before and felt that her current behavior was sowhat unusual.

Just as Charlotte was feeling puzzled, a cry ca from sowhere nearby.

"My wallet! Catch the thief! Soone stole my wallet!"

In an instant, the crowd was thrown into chaos, with people jostling and pushing each other, causing Charlotte to nearly stumble.

As Charlotte turned to look for Annie’s figure amidst the chaos, she suddenly felt her arm being yanked hard.

Then, Charlotte saw Annie wink at her.

"Shh... this way."

Annie gestured to Charlotte to stay silent and gave her a aningful look.

Understanding Annie’s cue, Charlotte and Annie carefully slipped away amidst the commotion.

By the ti the crowd realized what was happening, Charlotte and Annie were long gone.

At this point, Charlotte and Annie had already turned into a nearby alley. After confirming that no one had followed them, Annie breathed a sigh of relief and leaned her back against the wall.

"Finally got out."

Upon hearing Annie’s words, Charlotte frowned in confusion, supporting her knees with both hands, and looked at Annie without understanding.

"Did you do that on purpose just now?"

Despite the chaos, Charlotte stayed close to Annie the whole ti and clearly heard that the person shouting about the stolen wallet was none other than Annie.

"How else could we have gotten out of there?"

Annie naturally tidied her clothes and then looked around, seemingly in good spirits.

"Alright, let’s go."

Although Annie was ready to move forward, Charlotte showed no intention of budging.

"What’s wrong?"

Watching Charlotte stand still, Annie blinked with so confusion and then asked with concern:

"Did you get hurt just now?"

With that, Annie stood in front of Charlotte as if preparing to check on her condition.

But Charlotte shook her head, stopping Annie’s movent with her hand. After a deep breath, she asked again, just like before:

"You did that on purpose, didn’t you?"

However, Annie was puzzled by Charlotte’s repeated query. She instinctively rubbed her nose, her expression bewildered.

Annie decided to respond to Charlotte’s question anyway.

"Of course, if I hadn’t yelled like that, we’d still be surrounded by the crowd, wouldn’t we?"

"I’m not talking about that shout. You actually lured these people here on purpose, didn’t you?"

Charlotte had been pondering, knowing Annie’s personality, it was unlikely she would co out openly without any disguise.

After all, Annie was a public figure and should try to avoid unnecessary trouble.
