Mr. Carter’s words also prompted other shareholders to chi in with their opinions.
"That’s right, Mr. Battleson. Having Charlotte Thompson leave the company is the only solution now."
"Not only that, I think Charlotte should compensate the company for its losses during this period."
Seeing that Justin Battleson remained silent, Mr. Carter couldn’t help but grow anxious.
"Mr. Battleson, at this point, shouldn’t you make a statent? Or is it that... you’ve really decided to protect Charlotte?"
Facing Mr. Carter’s questioning, Justin Battleson finally looked away from the computer. He slightly raised his chin and said in a deep voice:

"Not fully investigated? Mr. Battleson, you must be joking. Nurous authorities in the fashion industry have already co forward to accuse Charlotte of plagiarism. What’s left to explain now?"
Mr. Carter pressed his palm on the table, unwillingly retorting: "Mr. Battleson, if you continue to protect Charlotte, you might hurt the feelings of us directors. All our interests are tied to the company’s, and we must consider ourselves."
As he spoke, Mr. Carter looked around the room.
Today, Charlotte didn’t attend the board eting, so so shareholders were a bit excessive with their words, all being critical of Charlotte.
There was no trace of their previous praise for Charlotte when the brands she launched brought trendous profits.
"So, have you all unanimously decided to remove Mr. Thompson from the board?"
Justin Battleson rested his hands on his chin, his calm gaze sweeping over everyone present, capturing their expressions in detail.
"Mr. Battleson, the truth is evident here; this is the best choice." Mr. Carter chuckled, then adjusted his suit, standing up directly from his seat.
"If Mr. Battleson insists on keeping Charlotte in the company, then I’m sorry, Mr. Battleson, I see no reason to stay in the company any longer."
Now that Mr. Carter had proactively expressed his stance, those following behind him chid in as well.
These shareholders’ actions were nothing but a threat to Justin Battleson.
Charlotte is currently at the center of a dia frenzy. If the company discards her in ti, it would be minimizing losses. But if the company supports Charlotte, it might directly drag the company down.
Mr. Carter is a businessman; he naturally wants to do what’s most beneficial for himself.
If Justin Battleson makes no statent, he’ll directly sell off his shares, and along with those following him, they could undoubtedly deal a major blow to the company.
Justin Battleson raised his eyes, his gaze piercing through the crowd to land on Mr. Carter’s face. The two just looked at each other as if engaged in a silent chess match.
The atmosphere was tense, on the verge of erupting. Under everyone’s watchful eyes, Justin Battleson spread his hands, leaning back in his chair.
"Since Mr. Carter is determined, there’s no point in trying to persuade you any further."
As he spoke, Justin Battleson showed an extrely helpless expression, seemingly powerless.
Mr. Carter gave Justin Battleson a mysterious look, then snorted coldly:
"Justin Battleson, your actions are harming the company!"
With that, Mr. Carter signaled to the people around him and then directly lifted his foot, leaving the conference room.
