"Yeah, I still rember you like sweet things."
Charlotte was sowhat surprised.
She didn’t expect the first thing Riley said upon seeing her would be to openly admit she was Evelyn Curtis.
"Unfortunately, now I only like drinking black coffee. Only sothing bitter can remind of what I’ve been through."
As she said this, Riley’s gaze towards Charlotte indeed changed.
However, Charlotte’s expression remained calm. She lowered her head and casually tidied her sleeve, saying:
"So, what brings you here today? Don’t tell you decided to catch up because we haven’t seen each other for a long ti."
Currently, Riley had been disappearing from the internet for so ti due to the controversy surrounding her previous voice-acting job.
Charlotte had originally been anticipating what Riley would do next, but she didn’t expect Riley to co find her directly.
"Why can’t I co to catch up with you?" Riley opened her palm.
Regardless of what Charlotte might answer, she continued speaking to herself:
"Sitting face to face with soone who looks so much like herself, I wonder what Miss Thompson feels now?"
"My grandfather loved collecting artifacts, and from him, I learned that fake things are always fake, having no value and no reason to exist."
Charlotte’s words seed easygoing, but every phrase hit Riley squarely in the chest.
"Charlotte, do you really think you can be proud for long?" Riley slamd her hand on the table, causing the juice in the glass to ripple.
"Miss Riley, if you’re not here for sothing important or work-related, then I should see you out."
Yet it seed Riley didn’t understand Charlotte’s subtle dismissal, instead, she smiled at her.
"Charlotte, your relationship with Annie Anne is very tense now, isn’t it?"
Charlotte’s expression instantly turned cold.
She hadn’t been able to reach Annie Anne recently, which ant their relationship hadn’t been nded at all.
This had never happened between the two of them before.
Noticing Charlotte’s reaction, Riley beca smug, "So I guessed right, no wonder there’s been no word about Annie Anne lately. The last ti she left the set so emotionally, it did affect her quite a bit."
"What did you say to her?" Charlotte’s voice turned icy.
Indeed, Riley daring to confront her so brazenly must have so reason.
Sensing the subtle change in Charlotte’s deanor, Riley beca even more pleased with herself.
"But that doesn’t matter anymore, just don’t forget, Charlotte, Annie Anne once betrayed you. So things happen only zero or countless tis. So Charlotte, guess who Justin Battleson really likes: you, or your face?"
As if she had achieved her purpose, Riley stood up, satisfied.
Just as she was about to leave, Charlotte stood up abruptly, stepping forward to close the distance between them.
Almost instinctively, Riley flinched back, but Charlotte was faster, directly grabbing her by the collar.
"What I hate most is soone trying to sow discord in front of . Riley, you have so nerve, daring to co here to provoke . Do you really think I wouldn’t dare move against you?"
