Riley also realized that her tone was sowhat inappropriate.

She clenched her palm slightly and imdiately explained, "I just suddenly felt sothing wasn’t quite right. Maybe if I wait a bit, I might find so other leverage against Charlotte."

"Well, you better make it quick and not waste Mr. Battleson’s ti. Don’t forget, without Mr. Battleson, you might not be where you are right now."

Not knowing how many tis she’d heard these words, Riley painfully furrowed her brow, but the idea that had taken root in her mind grew stronger.

Yet, she still maintained a flattering smile on her face.

"I understand, the tasks Mr. Battleson has given , I will certainly carry out seriously."

Riley then took a deep breath, ready to return to the set to continue filming, but what she didn’t expect was that soone from the director’s team had co to inform her that today’s shoot was paused.

No reason was given to Riley, but it was enough for her to secretly let out a sigh of relief.

Besides having her monitor Charlotte, Leon Battleson also wanted her to find an opportunity to tarnish Charlotte’s reputation.

Unfortunately, Riley couldn’t directly contact Charlotte, so she planned to start with other actors or the director’s team.

After all, there was still a long ti left in the shoot, and she’d eventually find an opportunity.

However, what happened next was beyond anything Riley had anticipated.

The crew suddenly inford Riley of an external shoot, and the location turned out to be an uninhabited desert.

It was a solo scene, so Riley was the only one brought to the location.

At this mont, Riley was standing alone in her costu on the scorching sand, under the blazing sun, feeling as if even her breath was full of sand.

Watching the other crew mbers comfortably sitting under a constructed shelter, with even the caraman having soone holding an umbrella, Riley seed to be the most unfortunate.

"Riley, watch your facial expression!"

The director shouted at Riley through a gaphone from not far away.

Riley stared at the director’s group, unable to utter a single word.

The wind felt like needles piercing her face, making it impossible to manage her expression.

Seeing Riley staggering in the wind and dust not far away, her agent couldn’t help but ask:

"Director, why the sudden external shoot? Wasn’t the schedule already arranged? I rember there was no such scene originally."

"This is to enrich the character’s background. After what happened in the crew yesterday, I think until things are clarified, I won’t schedule Riley to act with other actors. I’ll just finish her solo scenes first."

The director’s explanation left the agent with no reason to argue.

Finally, she looked at Riley, who shook her head.

After the agent’s gesture, Riley felt bitterly resigned and was about to pretend to faint when, out of nowhere, Charlotte’s voice ca echoing.

"Truly unexpected that Miss Riley is so dedicated, performing so well in such a harsh environnt."
