Riley looked at the director with so confusion.
"I’ve indeed called you for sothing. I’m about to start filming a new TV series and I’m looking for a female lead. I’m wondering if you are available?"
The director’s words made Riley’s hand, which was pressing on the quilt, suddenly tighten, and a flash of excitent passed through her eyes.
However, on the surface, she still pretended to be calm.
"I’ll discuss with my manager and check my schedule."
Upon hearing Riley’s response, the director imdiately spoke again, "Miss Riley, please make so ti to join the cast. If you truly can’t find a suitable ti, even a guest role would be fine."
The director’s words made Riley tilt her head sowhat quizzically, "Mr. Alexander, you seem very eager for to participate in this series?"
The director’s expression stiffened, and finally, under Riley’s sowhat scrutinizing gaze, he touched his nose and let out an awkward laugh.
"Actually, not quite. It’s just that our biggest investor this ti specified they want you in the role. Otherwise... I wouldn’t personally co to find you."
The director’s answer caught Riley a bit off guard. She instinctively narrowed her eyes.
Seemingly aware of Riley’s concerns, the director quickly added, "After all, they are the show’s biggest investor. As for their specific identity, it’s not convenient for to disclose."
Saying this, the director paused and then stood up, clearly intending to leave.
"However, I think Miss Riley wouldn’t give up such a good opportunity, right?"
Mr. Alexander has a good reputation in the entertainnt industry and has a few well-known films and TV series under his belt.
Moreover, for an actor, opportunities are the most important.
Riley felt that her current status was indeed lukewarm, and as the director said, she wouldn’t let such a good opportunity slip by.
Additionally, Riley was quite curious about who this investor, who specifically nad her for the role, really was?
...
Elsewhere, a certain investor was earnestly examining the design draft on the desk.
Soon after, she received a call from Mr. Alexander, causing Charlotte Thompson to curl her lips.
Riley had already agreed to audition, and Charlotte started to anticipate what kind of expression Riley would show upon eting her.
Charlotte’s gaze fell on the contact list on her phone, but she was more concerned about the situation with Annie Anne.
Since Annie Anne left the set that day, she hadn’t been able to contact her.
Charlotte couldn’t help but let out a sigh.
"Why the sudden sigh?"
Justin Battleson had just entered the room and saw Charlotte with a slightly worried look.
He placed the cup in his hand aside and walked over to Charlotte, asking with so concern.
Seeing Justin coming over, Charlotte’s eyes shifted slightly. Then she quickly covered the design draft at hand with a nearby folder and stood up, moving around the desk.
"Have you contacted Oliver Hudson?"
"No, I haven’t. Has sothing happened?" Justin reached out and flicked the strands of hair that had fallen on Charlotte’s shoulder, speaking softly.
"Not really, it’s just that since Annie left today, I haven’t been able to reach her. I’m a bit worried." Charlotte lightly leaned back, placing her palm on the edge of the desk.
"Moreover, I always feel like there’s sothing between her and Oliver Hudson..."
At this point, Charlotte hesitated to continue.
