"Since it’s a stand-in, you should act properly, and don’t have useless thoughts. Do you really think you’re so kind of protagonist?"
Sumr Lilian spoke with her usual sarcastic tone, but her gaze quietly drifted towards Riley Thompson.
At this mont, Sumr Lilian didn’t hold back at all in her mockery of Charlotte Thompson.
In fact, Sumr Lilian had already calculated in her mind, even if Charlotte revealed her identity later, she could claim that she didn’t know Charlotte and mistook her for a stand-in.
Such an explanation could block any further comnts, and no one would bla her for these "careless" remarks.
Charlotte was looking down at the hem of her clothes; the red wine stain couldn’t be cleaned easily, and since she was still wearing a costu, the outfit might not be suitable for filming later.
Charlotte didn’t mind whether she could appear in the drama or not; she found taking on a new industry quite interesting. However, her good mood was entirely disrupted by soone.
She lifted her gaze, first landing on the director nearby.
"Is this the stand-in’s first ti acting in a scene?"
The director was sowhat confused; he had never t Charlotte before, only heard about this Mrs. Battleson from so friends.
Although Charlotte’s voice was calm, the director sensed a slight oppression in it and instinctively replied, "No, they’ve been on stage before."
Hearing the director’s response, Charlotte’s face showed a look of realization, and she turned her gaze towards Sumr Lilian’s face.
"Since the stand-in has appeared before, and this lady can’t recognize them, it seems like there’s a vision problem. If necessary, you can wear glasses or, if that doesn’t help, get an eye check-up."
Charlotte paused here, but couldn’t find the crew mber who had pulled her over earlier, which surprised her a little.
She flickered her eyes slightly and finally directed her gaze back to Sumr Lilian.
"What do you an by that?" Sumr Lilian glared at Charlotte, sowhat dissatisfied.
Charlotte raised her eyebrows slightly, then stepped closer to Sumr Lilian.
Leaning in so that only the two of them could hear, she spoke softly, "It’s just a pity that such beautiful eyes are used to speak lies, don’t you think so, Miss Lilian?"
No one else knew what Charlotte whispered to Sumr Lilian, but they saw Sumr Lilian’s face suddenly beco very unpleasant.
Yet Charlotte wore an appropriate smile. Although facing the director, her gaze swept over the onlookers.
"This was just a misunderstanding. I was from the set next door; perhaps the costus were similar, so I was mistaken and brought over."
With these words, Charlotte also explained her identity to everyone, which made the director a bit embarrassed and quickly apologize to Charlotte.
anwhile, he was observing Charlotte’s expression, worried that what happened might upset her, which would be detrintal to the crew if involved.
Charlotte shook her head.
Now, she wanted to return to the other set and ntion the situation to the director there.
The outfit she was wearing couldn’t be used any longer. She wondered if there was any spare costu available for her to change into.
