"Is it the key with an apple pendant?"
Charlotte Thompson raised her hand to gesture the size of the pendant, and the assistant nodded repeatedly.
Charlotte then instructed the assistant to take care of Annie Anne for now, and she would head to the dressing room to help the assistant find the key.
"It’s really a bother for you, Miss Thompson."
The assistant’s originally fair face showed a slightly awkward expression, "I am really such an incompetent assistant. Last ti, Miss Annie’s keychain was left in the prop room of the film set, and if Miss Annie hadn’t rembered to go back and retrieve it, I probably wouldn’t have noticed at all."
"Has this happened before?"
Uncertain of which word from the assistant caught her ear, Charlotte paused.
Upon hearing Charlotte’s inquiry, the assistant’s expression fell, and she said softly, "It was during the ti when Miss Annie got hurt and was hospitalized in that film set. I should’ve gone and retrieved the keys for Miss Annie, and maybe checked the prop room’s items. It might have prevented that accident..."
However, as the assistant continued talking, Charlotte could no longer hear clearly.
She furrowed her brows slightly, although to others, she rely seed a bit absent-minded.
Then, Charlotte nodded to the assistant, preparing to return to the dressing room to get the key for Annie Anne.
Just as Charlotte left the set, before she could reach the dressing room, soone hurriedly approached her.
"What are you doing here? Shooting is about to start, and we’ve been looking for you everywhere."
The speaker was a middle-aged man who, upon seeing Charlotte, hesitated slightly, but seed to be preoccupied with more pressing matters, urging Charlotte along.
Charlotte, however, was truly clueless, as she observed the man who appeared out of nowhere, guessing he must be from the film crew judging by his attire.
"What are you standing around for? The whole film set is waiting for you, hurry up."
Seeing Charlotte standing still, the man imdiately spoke up, his tone carrying a hint of impatience.
Charlotte slightly raised her eyebrows, wondering why the film sets of Annie Anne’s project seed ahead of schedule, as there should be so ti before her scenes started.
Although perplexed, Charlotte still followed the middle-aged man’s steps, but upon reaching the set, she realized the man seed to have mistaken her for soone else.
Because she was brought to the set where Riley Thompson was.
"Wait a mont..."
Charlotte wanted to say sothing, but the middle-aged man’s impatience made him push Charlotte lightly,
"Why wait? You’re a substitute and still have so many demands, get up there quickly, finish shooting this scene and get over with it."
The man cut off Charlotte’s explanation, and when Charlotte looked up, she found that the person she was supposed to act with was Sumr Lilian.
Sumr Lilian stood with her arms crossed, slightly lowering her head, seemingly displeased with the long wait, and kept swirling the liquid in her cup.
When Sumr Lilian noticed a figure in front of her, she lifted her head and her expression changed slightly.
Then Charlotte heard the director shout to start the scene, and before she could react, Sumr Lilian flung the drink from her glass towards Charlotte.
"You bitch," Sumr Lilian said.
