Perhaps it really was because the Thompson Family directly called the police, causing the online controversies to gradually cool down.
This was naturally the scene Charlotte most wanted to see.
"I suppose this matter is in the past now."
At this mont, Charlotte felt sowhat exhausted, despite not doing anything. Just looking at the comnts online made her feel a bit stifled.
Seeing the weariness in Charlotte’s eyes, Justin Battleson placed a light kiss on her forehead, stroked her soft long hair, and said:
"These things will be dealt with soon. It’s getting late, you should rest early."
Charlotte nodded and wanted to return to the bedroom, but as soon as she lifted her foot, she seed to rember sothing and suddenly stopped.
"What’s wrong?" Noticing Charlotte’s movent, Justin looked at her with so doubts.
"I almost forgot about this matter."
Charlotte reached out and patted her forehead, a hint of annoyance on her face. Without answering Justin’s question, she hurriedly left the room.
Justin was bewildered but still followed her out.
But soon, Charlotte ran back inside. Standing in front of Justin, perhaps due to her haste, her voice was slightly breathless.
"I never used to wear any accessories on my hands, but now there’s a ring, and it makes feel a bit uncomfortable."
And what Charlotte held in her hand was the ring she removed that morning.
Her fingertips pinched the delicate ring, and she said to Justin, "From now on, I must rember to always wear it."
As she spoke, Charlotte was about to put the ring back on her finger, but Justin’s palm quickly reached out, placing Charlotte’s wrist into his hand.
Justin took the ring from Charlotte’s hand and naturally put it on for her. Following the movent of his fingertips, he pressed his lips to the base of Charlotte’s finger.
The tingling warmth spread from her fingertips throughout Charlotte’s body, causing her cheeks to flush slightly.
"I’m sorry, it’s my fault. Such an important ring, and yet I forgot about it."
Holding Justin’s hand, Charlotte slightly bent her fingers to scratch his palm, speaking with a muffled voice, trying to cover up the guilt in her heart.
"Silly." Hearing this, Justin couldn’t help but chuckle, then he directly reached out and picked Charlotte up, heading upstairs.
"As long as you’re by my side, whether you wear the ring or not isn’t so important."
"That won’t do."
Charlotte, sowhat disagreeing, wrapped her arms around Justin’s neck, straightened her upper body a bit, and refuted:
"Life still needs a sense of ceremony."
Upon hearing this, Justin’s eyes flickered slightly, then he squinted at Charlotte before him, subtly pulling the corner of his lips.
"If that’s the case, then how should I punish soone who disrupted the sense of ceremony today?"
Noticing Justin’s expression, Charlotte’s ears suddenly turned red.
"Ahem, I’m really tired, let’s sleep."
She initially wanted to jump down from Justin’s embrace, but Justin didn’t give her the slightest chance.
Placing Charlotte on the soft big bed, Justin’s hand held the back of her head, gazing down at her before leaning over and kissing her lips...
