The manager just ca to his senses and was about to turn around to review the surveillance footage, but Lily Cooper spoke first:
"There’s absolutely no need to check the footage. The facts are right in front of us. You’ve stolen my bracelet. People like you, seeing sothing nice, can’t help but want to pocket it for yourself, can you?!"
Lily Cooper shouted loudly, intent on centing Charlotte Thompson’s guilt.
"Miss Howard, if you’re so certain I stole your item, wouldn’t checking the footage provide you with even stronger evidence?"
"Besides, you got one thing wrong."
Charlotte Thompson slowly moved her gaze onto the bracelet, scoffing, "This bracelet of yours doesn’t even count as sothing nice."
"What are you implying!" Lily Cooper’s tone imdiately shot up, "Do you know how much the diamonds on this bracelet are worth..."
"From the bracelet’s style and design, it appears to be one of Fanc’s classic pieces. Their unique hallmark design often combines ruby and diamond."
Charlotte Thompson’s tone remained steady as she analyzed the bracelet.
At that mont, everyone present looked at Charlotte Thompson with deeper aning in their eyes.
Just from Charlotte Thompson’s analysis, it was clear that she couldn’t possibly be the thief or the impoverished person Lily Cooper made her out to be.
Everyone’s minds suddenly realized: the mall’s security was extrely tight, plus it operated on a mbership basis, aning not just anyone could simply walk in.
"You!"
Lily Cooper was at a loss for words, silenced by Charlotte Thompson’s remarks, rely pointing at her, her body trembling slightly.
Witnessing Lily Cooper’s reaction, Charlotte Thompson innocently blinked her eyes.
"What, does Miss Howard find sothing wrong with what I said?"
Lily Cooper bit hard on her lower lip, but before she could speak, Charlotte Thompson had already jumped in:
"Moreover, it’s even more unfortunate. Miss Howard, the diamonds on your bracelet are actually zirconias; this is a high-quality fake, not even from Fanc’s classic collection."
As soon as she said this, everyone turned their gaze to the bracelet.
"How could it possibly be zirconia; the stones on it are clearly full carat diamonds!"
Lily Cooper’s attention was clearly diverted by Charlotte Thompson’s remarks; she gritted her teeth, saying, "You clearly know nothing and are just talking nonsense here!"
"Miss Howard, had I not known Fanc’s chief jewelry designer, nor been lucky enough to have seen a necklace he crafted beforehand, I might have been fooled by your fake. Miss Howard may not believe , but with diamonds, a professional appraisal will reveal the truth."
Charlotte Thompson’s voice was calm, with a faint smile at the corner of her lips, creating a stark contrast with Lily Cooper’s now deep red complexion.
Yet, Charlotte Thompson, with the gentlest voice, continued to deal another blow to Lily Cooper:
"But Miss Howard, although these diamonds are fake, the rubies on it are real. However, judging by their quality, they aren’t extrely valuable."
As she spoke, Charlotte Thompson stepped forward and handed the bracelet in her hand to Lily Cooper.
But Lily Cooper simply stared at Charlotte Thompson, without any intention of reaching for the bracelet.
Regardless of Lily Cooper’s reaction, Charlotte Thompson was unfazed, rely lowering her eyes to the bracelet, a look of regret appearing on her face.
