Battlefields were noisy, especially ones that involved mystical powers. Those made it even more noisy, unbearably so.

The steps of giant colossi, the earth trembling punches they threw, the roars of fire, the thunder from the lightning leaping from soone hands. There were all sorts of roars, rumbles and booms constantly filling the battlefield, especially when Astra had been so liberal with shooting off her bolts.

It would be more than enough for anyone to get used to the sound of rolling thunder and simply tone it out. So they could hardly be blad for not noticing that so of those sounds of thunder didn't line up with any actions.

Not one of Alexandra's punches, the crack of the demons whip or Astra's bolts. The sound of the growing thunderstorm had gone completely unnoticed by all but one person, the one person who could take the most advantage of it.

Astra could feel it tingling against her skin for the past few minutes. She could literally feel the ionisation building in the air and their fight in the sky had only hasted the process.

It was as if she was surrounded by the purest air possible, air that was filled with every nutrient her body needed to survive and would keep her living for thousands of years.

All she had to do, was breathe.

Taking a deep breath, Astra drew it into her lungs and let the blissful air swirl around inside her as she lifted her hand high to the sky. Small sparks of static electricity arcing from her fingers and zapping eagerly in the air.

"Tell , since you're such a big fan of mine and have watched all of the videos about . Do you rember what na they called ?"

The smirk on her face only grew wider as the colour completely drained from the flaming man's face, his look of condescending confidence being replaced by an expression of pure horror and fear.

He drew in a breath to bark out so orders to his lackeys, but that was as far as he got before the thunder drowned him out.

With a twist of Astra's hand, she pointed a single finger to the sky and let her eyes close in perfect relaxation, as a column of light descended onto her. Pure plasma, overflowing with nearly 1 billion volts of electricity streaked down from the heavens, zigzagging as it descended like an uncontrollable force of nature, before it jerked to the side and plumted towards its one true destination.

The bolt of lightning, pure raw lightning, struck Astra's fingertip and in a single mont, faster than an eye could blink, she was filled to the brim with power. And it just kept coming.

Bolts of electricity leapt from her body, striking those that were closing in around her, arcing through their bodies before leaping onto the next. They were dead before they even hit the ground, and they fell like dominoes.

Astra's feet lifted off the ground as she began to rise, but not dragged her harness or the equipnt she wore, but simply lifted by the power of her own body. As if gravity was bowing in reverence to her majesty, and the electromagnetic force was simply too powerful around her body to be ignored.

The charred corpses were thrown away, further than they had been by the lightning, as the repellent force washed over them and lifted Astra into the air.

She kept her hand pointed to the sky, as the Lightning continued to funnel down into her. The bolt sustained, rather than fading after the blink of an eye, as if it was a tether connecting her to the heavens themselves.

More bolts descended, as if the lone bolt wasn't enough to satisfy Astra's endless hunger for energy.

Her hand lowered, yet the bolt of jagged and wriggling Lightning stayed tethered to her, as more descended. One struck her other hand, while four more converged together and plunged into her back.

They lifted her into the air, like threads of pure lightning.

Astra opened her eyes slowly, showing the wells of power her simple eyelids had hidden. Two balls of pure white plasma rested in her eye sockets, as electricity sparked wildly from them, as well as the rest of her body, as she overflowed with endless power.

"I AM THE QUEEN OF THE STORM, THE GODDESS OF LIGHTNING. NOW FACE THE WRATH OF THE HEAVENS!"

She clapped her hands together in front of her, a clap that resounded across the entire battlefield, which had co to a standstill at her appearance. It was at that mont, as the sound of a simple clap nearly deafened them, that many finally understood the term 'clap of thunder'.

It was the sort of mont that could, and would, inspire legends for centuries to co.

As she pulled her hands apart, thick bolts of erratic lightning leapt between her palms before she casually swept them outwards.

With a wave of her hands, dozens of lightning bolts leapt from her fingertips and coursed through the crowds below like dragons. Those who tried to run, found themselves unable to move.

Their fancy, shiny armour was locked in place, fighting against their owners movents and instead obeying the whims of the goddess. Trapped in an iron coffin, they could only scream and beg for forgiveness before the Lightning Dragons consud them, leaving nothing but lted tal and charred flesh in their wake.

The man on fire, who had seemingly been forgotten by the 'Goddess' while she slaughtered his n, grit his teeth as he considered what he should do. He wanted to run, he really wanted to run.

He was far too pretty to die, especially if it was in a way that wouldn't leave a pretty corpse. Hard attack in the night, that was how he was supposed to die, so that everyone could say 'Oh, he looks like an angel' at his funeral.

That was how it was supposed to be! Not dying at the hands of so juiced up bitch that had kicked him in the balls a few dozen tis!

Rembering what she had tried to do to his little mber made his blood boil, and finally pushed him over the edge on what he should do. If he was forgotten about and ignored, fine, he would use that to his advantage.

He thrust both his hands forwards, the base of his hands touching as he held them out stretched in front of him. A ball of fire appeared in front of him, no bigger than a marble which quickly began to grow in size.

The flas coating his body, giving him his skeletal appearance, began to fade as all of his power was poured into the growing ball of fire. All of his body returning to flesh, all except for his feet, which were still producing a small jet to keep him aloft, and his crotch.

His most precious body part, which would be ford into crushed mush if he ford it back with this armour on.

Apart from those who vital areas, he poured every last ounce of energy into the ball in front of him. It grew from a marble, to a baseball, to a lon until settling. The ball of swirling fire, like a miniature sun, kept compressing all of his energy until it could barely hold it anymore.

'You think you're the only one who can charge themselves up? Ha! Don't get cocky just because you're juiced. You would have been a tasty treat, but I'll have to pass. Enjoy being cut in half by the pure concentrated power of the sun!'

He let out a dramatic cry as he finally let the pent up energy release as it shot outwards, carving through the air as a super-heated beam, streaking directly towards the ignorant Astra.

At least, that's what he thought. She was, in fact, not stupid enough to forget about him. She was just prioritising the larger battle than her own petty fight, which she could resolve at any ti. Leaving him to charge up his ani attack simply let her cull the enemies numbers without issue.

When she heard his scream, Astra finally turned to face him and regarded him with cold eyes. Faced with the deadly supernova beam streaking towards her, Astra lazily lifted her hand and let loose so of her own energy. She had plenty to spare at the mont.

Her nervous system lit up like a Christmas tree, illuminating through her skin as lightning gathered at the tips of each of her blackened fingers and in the palm of her hand. A pure white bolt of lightning erupted from her palm, followed by five smaller crackling bolts from her fingers.

The smaller bolts wrapped around the larger one, empowering it as it clashed with the supernova attack. They paused for a second as they collided, before Astra's lightning bolt split the searing fire beam in two.

Her bolt raced up the length of it and struck the flaming man directly in his outstretched hands, and shot through his body which he had so helpfully turned back into flesh.

It all happened in the blink of an eye. A dazzling flash of orange, followed by a blinding white light and yet another clap of thunder. When observers eyes adjusted and were able to witness the aftermath, all they would see is an empty, half lted armour with a dented crotch falling to the ground, as ash poured from it and danced in the wind.
