Unexpectedly faced with Lachlan Wyatt’s words, Iris Crawford couldn’t explain the strange emotion in her chest.

She had known from the beginning that her relationship with Lachlan Wyatt was just a transaction, and the first to fall loses.

Though she kept warning herself of this, after two years of interaction, she couldn’t help having expectations for him.

What’s truly frightening in this world isn’t being disappointed by soone, but having hope in soone. It ans you’ve willingly shed your strong facade, handed the knife to him—

Telling him, my weakness is here.

She was an adult and could distinguish that the heart-stirring ambiguity between her and Lachlan couldn’t be taken seriously.

However, aside from this layer of ambiguity, is there really no other feelings between them?

"Since you’re willing."

Iris took a breath, and the words she managed to say felt stifled, like a form of surrender.

She looked up at Lachlan briefly and said, "Then I’ll go. After all, since I accepted the task, I must complete it."

Lachlan’s pupils narrowed slightly.

Hearing Iris speak in such a tone, he seed to not feel very comfortable.

It was as if, even though she agreed verbally, it felt different than before, and things could never return to how they were.

If he really let her go...

Lachlan’s gaze slowly lowered, just as he was about to say sothing, Iris took a step forward.

"Where to?"

Lachlan called after her in a soft voice from behind.

"To change clothes and dress up."

Iris didn’t turn around, and only said, "After all... wasn’t it agreed to seduce and entice? If I don’t do a good job, how will Peter Marshall take the bait?"

Dress up?

Does one really need to dress up to seduce such a person?

Lachlan slightly narrowed his eyes, was Iris angry?

Perhaps so, for two years he had never purposely pushed her to seduce n, even though her existence naturally attracted n. But to deliberately use beauty to trap others, this was the first ti.

It’s normal for Iris to harbor resentnt, but...

Should he pacify her? Or did he need to take responsibility for Iris’s emotions?

A buzzing sound played in his ears, and Lachlan couldn’t make a decision. After a while, he clenched his fingers and only said, "Alright, go."

Hearing Lachlan’s indifferent reply, Iris left with a bitter smile, pushing the door open.

******

At eight o’clock in the evening, Jas Chesterton located Peter Marshall by checking footage from various caras. Today, Marshall was at a club with Gia, indulging in debauchery. Surveillance footage showed him, overweight and greasy-faced, holding a drunken Gia as they entered the club. His jowls shook with his steps.

Jas let out a hiss, "This guy... looks disgusting."

Peach, standing by, said worriedly, "Birdie is going to handle him tonight, will she get taken advantage of..."

Sarah Shaw, putting on a communication earpiece and organizing various electronic devices, said, "Of course she will, damn it. If that lecherous hand dares lay another finger on my Birdie, I’ll chop it off!"

Next to them, Lachlan’s brow twitched imperceptibly. He glanced at the video footage, then turned away saying, "With a man like that, Iris can handle ten of him."

After all, he was a man who couldn’t walk straight after a drink, clearly indulgent and wasteful. Such a cowardly man would plead after a few hits.

Hearing this, Iris, now dressed up, stepped out. She only laughed in response to his words.

That laugh was ambiguous, and to Lachlan’s ears, particularly grating.

Martin Hawthorne turned to look at Iris and gasped.

Iris was dressed in a red tight leather dress, with a plunging V-neck, cinched waist—a design that showcased her figure in the boldest color, presenting her as a powerful yet enchanting Valkyrie. The red on her was never overpowering; under her aura, it was more of a complent.

The red hue of Iris’s soul was thicker than blood; she never feared having too many bold elents, no matter how many, she wore them perfectly. With a pair of classic black-red bottod CL heels, thin high heels with scarlet soles, like a thorned rose. A woman wearing them seed to radiate threat, beauty as a deadly weapon.

A blade stained with the na of seductive, the sharpest of all.

Martin was rarely surprised, but his gasp showed how much Iris had struck him, making everyone turn to watch her, and even causing Lachlan’s breath to catch.

What’s with her being like this! Is it necessary to fully power-up just to seduce Peter Marshall!!!

Elias Shaw, wearing white gloves, clapped and said, "I couldn’t tell before, but this lady’s beauty is our strongest asset."

Next to him, Hector Sutton stared at Iris as if entranced, his expression too obvious for Lachlan not to notice.

Lachlan called out, "Hey, Hector Sutton."

Hector snapped back to reality at his call. He stepped forward, offering a hand to Iris, saying, "Aren’t you afraid of stumbling in those high heels?"

"I’m not afraid of tripping once I put them on." Iris’s voice was emotionless, "If I were afraid, I wouldn’t wear them."

Interesting.

Elias Shaw clapped again, clearly impressed by Iris’s ability to disrupt even a man of his status twice in a short period, proving her skill.

He smirked and said, "Then I look forward to your triumphant success, best to get the evidence in one go."

Such a woman sending herself into Peter Marshall’s arms... isn’t it a bit wasteful?

Elias Shaw gave Lachlan a aningful glance, as if teasing him, asking if he really dared send such a beauty for Marshall to take advantage of.

Lachlan’s delicate features were covered with a layer of frost, as if upset by so unknown source, watching everyone fully prepared to set off. Elias Shaw’s n were outside with the car, waiting for them to depart.

Hector Sutton led Iris out first, as if escorting Empress Martial. Lachlan found it absurd; Hector once looked down on Iris, yet now followed her like a subordinate!

Why! Just because of Iris’s face!

He was the last to leave, after escorting Iris Crawford to the club entrance, leaving the rest inside the car waiting with various tools and communication devices for ergencies. Martin Hawthorne also changed into a floral short-sleeve shirt pretending to be a guest, ready to rush in if there’s an incident.

His task was to separate Gia and Peter Marshall.

As Iris Crawford walked over, Lachlan Wyatt called out to her, "Iris."

The woman paused but didn’t turn around.

She then resud and walked in.

Lachlan Wyatt’s gaze fixated on Iris Crawford’s swaying, graceful back, his expression growing more profound.

As Iris entered the club, she managed to get Peter’s room number from a passing waiter. Standing before the door, Iris took a deep breath.

Suddenly, Lachlan’s face flashed through her mind.

Casually smiling, a face beautiful with disdain for the world.

Her chest felt as if sothing tugged at it, and Iris forcefully pushed the door open.

A strange woman barged in, causing Peter Marshall, who was holding Gia, to be startled. Upon seeing the intruding woman, seemingly drunk, stagger a few steps and steady herself against the wall, she raised her head with confusion, saying, "Did I... did I enter the wrong room?"

Every night, there were guests who drank too much and entered the wrong rooms, so the waiter didn’t suspect anything but instead glanced over and said, "Miss, you’ve co to the wrong one. I’ll take you to the right one..."

"I... I’m just around here, sorry." Iris lifted her head to glance briefly at the man seated in the room’s center, rotund, then quickly turned away, saying, "I bothered you all."

"Wait!"

Peter Marshall was cast a glance by Iris.

In a fleeting mont, Peter stood up, pointing at Iris, "Stop right there!"

Iris’s body trembled, as she snapped back, "Brother, are you calling ?"

Peter was old enough to be Iris’s uncle, yet being called ’brother’, his whole being practically lted. Such a stunning beauty was rare even in the entertainnt industry, and now having entered the wrong room, he certainly wouldn’t let her escape!

Peter asked, "Where were you before?"

Iris casually ntioned a number, saying, "I work here and had a bit too much to drink with a guest..."

Oh, she’s an escort. Peter’s smile grew sleazier, waving Iris over, saying, "Then tell your boss, you’ll directly co to ."

Escorts never had fixed hours, and this club’s waiters often saw new faces, suspected nothing, and watched Iris stand by the door with a hand on the handle, saying hesitantly, "Is that alright, brother?"

She hadn’t moved towards Peter yet.

But Peter approached her, and his pudgy hand encircled Iris’s waist. He hadn’t seen such a top-notch beauty for ages, how could he let her go? Since fate brought you to Marshall’s door today, Marshall won’t let you leave!

Peter pulled Iris semi-dragged to sit on the sofa, "The boss knows well here, my word counts, so don’t be afraid, stay with ."

After saying this, he handed Iris a glass of wine, his smiling face scrunching up with pleasure, "My surna is Marshall, haven’t asked for your stage na yet. What’s your na?"

"Birdie." Iris fought back her disgust, tidied her hair, and playfully said with red lips, "Brother Marshall, you’re amazing, I won’t fear losing my job now~"

Having a beautiful woman’s compliance was deeply satisfying, and Peter laughed heartily holding his wine glass. anwhile, Gia was left aside, but Iris noticed her engrossed with her phone.

Head lowered, seemingly indifferent to Peter’s flirtations with another woman.

Frowning slightly, this developnt struck Iris as odd. Originally thinking Gia and Peter were partners-in-cri, upon seeing this, she questioned if there was more behind the scene?

However, the imdiate task was to get evidence from Peter’s end. So as Peter held her, Iris leaned close, while Peter reached for her leg, Iris mimicked him in touching his back and waist, darting her fingers skillfully over the belt.

Such bold action made Peter swallow his saliva directly, thinking Iris was indeed seducing him, tantalizing and bold! Little did he know that Iris was covertly searching him for hidden items.

The man was caressed by Iris’s soft hands, unable to resist pinching her thigh hard. Iris felt the pain first but then charmingly smiled, "Oh, Brother Marshall, that hurts~"

Peter planted a firm kiss on Iris’s cheek, "Your voice is as beautiful as a bird; are you available? I’ll directly sponsor you."

Beside them, Gia was unfazed, seemingly more engrossed in her phone.

To first deal with Peter, Iris had no choice but to act along, "Brother Marshall, how long will you support ? If you’re just playing, I’d rather not... What’s my future then..."

Oh dear!

Peter playfully squeezed Iris’s nose, teasing, "Birdie, could your brother Marshall ever be so heartless! Here, I’ll transfer you money now, co ho with tonight, stay the next half year with !"

"I don’t want to live in an outside apartnt." Considering moving to Peter’s house, perhaps finding more evidence, Iris quickly switched gears and smiled alluringly, poking Peter’s chest shyly, "I want to live inside your heart~!"

Peter was driven to the brink, wishing to have Iris right there!

All the activities were transmitted via the mini cara earrings Iris wore to Jas Chesterton’s computer outside the club.

A group sat inside a car, watching the computer screen. Witnessing Peter’s advances on Iris, Hector Sutton first beca restless, muttering curses against Peter, unable to restrain himself from rushing in to kill that disgusting man!

Hector kept deeply inhaling, his fingers clenched tightly in a fist, while Elias Shaw watched amusedly at his reaction, "What’s with your reaction?"

Hector fud, smoke almost emanating from his nostrils, "I want to kill him!!!"

Jas turned to glance at Lachlan Wyatt in the last row of the car, noticing the man’s expression turning dangerously grim after watching the video, a chilling air brewing on him, those normally carefree eyes now fully opened, pupils like an icy, dark gun barrel fixating fiercely on Jas’s computer.

"Lachlan, why aren’t you speaking?" Jas, holding the computer, was visibly shaking with anger, "Birdie surely suffered greatly, Peter is disgusting, he even touched her waist!"

The thought of Peter wanting to sponsor Iris provoked Lachlan to coldly laugh.

This type, capable? Iris, is she soone he can support?

He truly considers himself important, fantasizing about bringing Iris ho and supporting her!

Feeling the challenge, for the previous one to attempt such was Lachlan Wyatt. And now another foolish man dared to covet Iris!

However, at this very mont, the video suddenly zood in on Peter’s sinisterly grinning face, magnified many tis, rushing towards the screen suddenly, Peach called out, leaning away from the screen, "Ah! Suddenly zooming in like that! How filthy!"

Although Peach beside her beca silent.

Zooming in...

"Is Peter, forcefully kissing Birdie?"

Lachlan’s throat seized tightly!
