Jordan Jacobs always felt that there must still be old feelings between him and Iris Crawford.

Otherwise, why does she always co in front of him to attract his attention? Wasn’t her stunning appearance after returning just to make him regret it?

Jordan Jacobs held the pen, "Iris Crawford, there’s no need for this life-and-death between us..."

"Don’t talk about those non-existent old feelings before clearing the old scores." Unexpectedly, Iris Crawford seed to know what Jordan Jacobs wanted to say and interrupted him directly.

Jordan Jacobs turned pale, feeling as if he was about to suffocate for so reason.

The woman before him, did she really not love him at all anymore?

He couldn’t believe it — could such intense love just vanish?

Iris Crawford knew what Jordan Jacobs was thinking. Maybe so of those feelings still lingered in her heart. Back then, she had indeed loved fiercely and desperately, but now...

If she showed rcy to such a scumbag, she deserved to be the burden in the relationship.

Iris Crawford smiled and said to Jordan Jacobs, "I’ve known you not just for a day, Jordan Jacobs. Save these useless words for when you’re holding your mistress. If you don’t sign now, you’ll wait for the court to rule on the divorce. By then, every penny you spent on Yvonne Jennings will have to be repaid to , and the outco may be worse than now!"

With these words, it was as if a bomb exploded next to Yvonne Jennings’ ears. She pointed at Iris Crawford, gasping uncontrollably, "You venomous woman!"

"The world can call venomous, but you cannot."

Stepping hard on the scattered ss, Iris Crawford watched as Jordan Jacobs, pale, signed the contract in duplicate. With a swift motion, she pulled the papers away, dusted them off, and took a glance.

Smirking, she said, "Wise choice, Jordan Jacobs."

Two years ago, your deceit made my life a living hell. Now, this is all just karma!

Having collected the contract, Iris Crawford let out a cold laugh. "This is just the beginning, Jordan Jacobs. Tomorrow, I’ll transfer this house solely under your na. May you and Yvonne Jennings live here together forever!"

As she turned to leave, Yvonne Jennings scread, "Do you think you can just walk away every ti like this?"

Iris Crawford stepped forward, grabbing her by the cheeks with one hand.

Strictly speaking, she pinched her with the heel of her palm.

As Iris tightened her grip, Yvonne felt a sharp pain on both sides of her mouth. How could such a slender person like Iris explode with such incredible strength!

"If you’ve got any more tricks, you better use them all at once." Holding Yvonne Jennings’ face, she pulled her closer and said, "Don’t make find out anything else, as there are still plenty of people in your family for you to exploit."

Fear and hatred in Yvonne Jennings’ heart reached a pinnacle. After saying this, Iris Crawford threw her down forcefully and then left the ruined villa with Martin Hawthorne.

Jordan Jacobs, this place is finally no longer my ho.

******

When Iris Crawford brought the divorce agreent back to the base, everyone was surprised. They hadn’t expected her to obtain it so straightforwardly.

Lachlan Wyatt, standing by, said coldly, "I thought you’d say sothing like ’I won’t relinquish my position as the first wife for you two.’

Iris Crawford laughed as if she’d heard a joke, "Can you not say such brainless things in front of ? It’s quite amusing to hear."

Jordan Jacobs had already brought his mistress out in the open. What use was holding onto the position as the first wife? That spot nearly beca her tombstone!

"Oh? So it seems you disdain such matters." Lachlan Wyatt glanced at the contract for Iris Crawford, smiling, "You’re no longer the person from two years ago who hesitated to sign."

"Only a fool would consider the title of ’first wife’ useful after a spouse’s infidelity. Saying divorce is about fulfilnt is just an excuse for being too weak to initiate a divorce." Iris Crawford pulled the corners of her lips apathetically, unsure of whom she was mocking. "Such a woman deserves no sympathy because she can’t leave a cheating husband."

Back then, she was that woman.

No sympathy needed, just a fool.

Hearing Iris Crawford’s words, Lachlan Wyatt whistled and returned the contract to her, comnting, "By the way, our accounts have indeed received installnts from Jordan Jacobs, so it seems he’s keen on a private settlent."

"Assault can be settled privately, but infidelity cannot."

Iris Crawford smiled innocently, looking like a naive girl at first glance. "This fifty million is his compensation for slapping in public. As for the infidelity during our marriage, the price for that is separate; he shouldn’t think he can get away with it."

Lachlan Wyatt clicked his tongue in awe, amazed at how ticulously this woman accounted for everything. This was her ex-husband, and yet she showed no rcy. "You’re truly ruthless."

"Yvonne Jennings just said the sa about ." Iris Crawford sat down on a nearby chair, beginning to investigate Yvonne Jennings’ account and said indifferently, "I’ll just take it as a complint from you both."

Only money never betrays. What’s hers is hers.

Sitting in a swivel chair, she spun around a few tis, poking her chin with a smile and said, "Since Jordan Jacobs has transferred the money, why don’t we take a vacation as a firm? I haven’t used my week off yet."

"The internet is full of insults for you, and yet you’re in the mood for a vacation," Patrick Pierce turned his face away and added, "I’m not going."

"Oh." Being a celebrity, his schedule was naturally fixed monthly, so it’s understandable he couldn’t go on impromptu holidays. Iris Crawford glanced at the remaining mbers and cheerfully asked, "The rest of you free? How about we hit the beach?"

A nap later, she awoke at a beach with a sky so blue, a plane drew a faint arc overhead, eting the sea and sky, seemingly endless.

Rising from a sea-view villa, the open floor-to-ceiling windows let in the refreshing sea breeze, providing a comforting contrast to the tension that had gripped her for so long.

Since returning to the country, she had been busy troubling Jordan Jacobs. Now, in a place far removed from him, her mind felt clearer, and even her breathing relaxed.

Soone hugged her from behind, and Iris Crawford looked down at the hands around her waist, stepping on the person’s foot with her heel. "Let go!"

Lachlan Wyatt didn’t let go, "It’s been a while. Let hold you."

Iris Crawford ground her teeth, "I invited the firm’s mbers, not you!"

"I am the agency’s manager, responsible for connecting with our clients and arranging for you. Why shouldn’t I be considered a mber of the team?" Lachlan Wyatt tightened his grip instead, hugging her even more tightly, the sea breeze and slightly salty air boosting his mood, making him particularly eager to get intimate with Iris Crawford on the beach.

Unfortunately, Iris Crawford was more of a seductive panther than a vixen; she’d never go down without a fight.

As they sparred, Iris Crawford executed an escape maneuver with masterful precision, almost countering Lachlan Wyatt. The man could only laugh, blocking her incoming hand, "You’re quite exuberant post-divorce!"

"What else?"

Iris Crawford mocked herself, "I’m second-hand goods now; surely Young Master Wyatt wouldn’t want to take advantage of ?"

"Mhm, I like it."

Lachlan Wyatt licked his lips, his features refined, "How many n you’ve married doesn’t concern ."

——"Sorry to interrupt your flirting."

Soone knocked on the door and then peeked inside, "Now that you’re awake, hurry up and co out for lunch. We went sea fishing early this morning and caught a lot of seafood. You can make it however you want, raw or cooked."

Iris Crawford’s eyes lit up imdiately, "Sarah Shaw, I want to eat crabs!"

Sarah Shaw smiled and said, "This sea doesn’t seem to have the hairy crabs you like to eat."

Iris Crawford’s eyebrows drooped instantly, and she walked out of the room following Sarah Shaw, staring at her back as she left. Lachlan Wyatt squinted slightly.

If he rembered correctly... that person also lives nearby, right?

The vacation spot was a decision made by Lachlan Wyatt, and he covered all the trip expenses. Looking at the map on his phone, a deep thought crossed through Lachlan Wyatt’s eyes.

That being said, maybe the mont they entered this area, that person should have already received the ssage...

The perspective shifts to the villa’s hall, where Iris Crawford was barefoot, lying across the dining table with so mbers, enjoying a seafood feast. Jas Chesterton woke up early and went sea fishing with Martin Hawthorne, and Peach and Sarah Shaw were responsible for handling the bizarre seafood they caught. At this mont, Peach was dissecting a cooked starfish with a small knife, "This stuff can actually be eaten... I’ll dissect it and see..."

Silent, Martin Hawthorne sat peeling shrimps on one side, placing the peeled ones into Iris Crawford’s bowl.

Jas Chesterton opened his mouth wide, seeing Martin Hawthorne peel shrimp for another woman for the first ti, "Martin, what are you doing?"

Martin Hawthorne didn’t speak. Iris Crawford sat next to him, patted his broad back, and said, "He’s expressing gratitude to ."

"Gratitude?"

"Yeah, thanking for taking him to a fight yesterday. He said he was very happy."

Tough guy Martin nodded, peeling the shrimp even faster.

"..." Jas Chesterton held up a fork, "Martin, are you a savage? Who gets happy about fighting?"

Martin Hawthorne crushed a shrimp head with a crack.

Jas Chesterton retracted his fork, "I didn’t say anything, I didn’t say anything..."

Strangely enough, all the folks in their agency are enigmatic. The manager Lachlan Wyatt is a mystery himself, acting indifferent and cunning every day, seemingly never involved in any incident, yet never out of his control; not to ntion Martin, the muscle of the group, likely thinking all day about how to get into fights when he’s not speaking; Peach is a surgery fanatic, if not under agency restraint, she’d probably be conducting human experints, and Sarah Shaw is extrely, extrely reliable.

So reliable that no matter what goes wrong in the agency, Sarah Shaw can perfectly resolve it. One person’s power comparable to a whole PR departnt, who knows what skills she holds to silence so many investigations just like that.

Thinking over and over, he concluded that only he and Iris Crawford are normal people!

Jas Chesterton opened his mouth and said to Sarah Shaw, "I’ve always been curious. I heard this villa is yours, you wouldn’t have any big identity, would you?"

A girl who can quiet so many voices must wield so considerable power.

Sarah Shaw, with her cute face, shook her head, "Nope, I’m just an ordinary person."

"..." Jas Chesterton spoke while munching on a sea snail, "You think I’m an idiot?"

Lachlan Wyatt suddenly rembered sothing, "This mariti territory belongs to her family, what do you think?"

Iris Crawford was startled, "Wait, what did you say?"

How does Lachlan Wyatt know?

Just then, the doorbell rang outside...

Nobody moved to the door, Iris Crawford said, "I’ll open the door."

But Sarah Shaw said, "No need, he can get in."

If he can get in, that ans... he’s the owner of the villa? But the villa belongs to Sarah Shaw... then it can only be...

The door was pushed open, and two handso n walked in, the leader with black hair, exuding a steady and powerful aura but appeared very cunning. Iris Crawford instantly didn’t want to deal with this person.

He seed like he’d be a tough nut to crack.

Sure enough, the man winked at Sarah Shaw, then walked up to Lachlan Wyatt, "I arrived just in ti, I have a secret task I’d like to entrust to you."

Lachlan Wyatt extended his hand, "Pay up, Elias Shaw."

Elias Shaw handed a check to Lachlan Wyatt and then moved over to the dining table, suddenly grabbing Sarah Shaw’s neck from behind and said with a smile, "Thanks for taking care of my sister this while, here’s showing my gratitude..."

Elias Shaw... Elias Shaw...

Peach covered her mouth, "The one from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs —!" In ancient terms, the Shaw Family, weren’t they a prestigious lineage of high-ranking officials?!

However, Lachlan Wyatt turned to the other visitor, "Why did you co along too, Hector Sutton?"

Hector Sutton looked serious, "This matter is both and Elias Shaw asking you together."

It’s about their company’s female artist and the important figure Elias Shaw handles...

"Hearing you describe it, it probably involves a scandal..." Jas Chesterton boldly comnted, "A mistress kept by so big shot?"

"Ahem." Hector Sutton turned his head, "Anyway, we need you to offer so protection, we’ve been receiving threat letters lately."

"This ti you’re vacationing in our family’s mariti area, I’ll cover all expenses, I hope everyone can help complete a task." Iris Crawford noticed Elias Shaw had been wearing white gloves all along, it seed he was very cautious even on routine outings, "There are two individuals who need your protection..."

With soone of Elias Shaw’s level personally approaching them, the matter was definitely not simple. He pulled out docunts from the accompanying file bag and distributed them to everyone. When he was about to hand it to Lachlan Wyatt, the man pushed his hand away, "No need."

Elias Shaw laughed, "I forgot, you probably know everything."

Lachlan Wyatt acted profound, "Wasn’t I just waiting for you here?"

...So that’s why Lachlan Wyatt ca along, he had calculated early on to pick up a task during the vacation!

What kind of vacation is this!

Iris Crawford put the docunt aside, ate a piece of Martin’s shrimp on her own, and said, "Not available, not taking it."

Elias Shaw’s smile froze, "What did you say?"

She ate another shrimp, Iris Crawford shook her head and said, "Not taking it. I ca here to vacation, not to work. You should find soone else in the agency."

Lachlan Wyatt wasn’t surprised by Iris Crawford’s attitude, she was just like that, doing things her own way. However, Elias Shaw, having been in the political circle for so many years, had seen plenty of flattery, but never soone dropping a task right in his face. This woman... he thought for a mont and then said —

"Even if these two individuals are very important..."

"What the heck does that have to do with ?" Iris Crawford pointed to herself, "I’m the most important. Not taking it."
