Driver my ass!

Iris Crawford cursed Patrick Pierce in her heart, but still had a smile on her face, "Yes, yes, just call Crawford."

Patrick Pierce saw her still being blocked, and casually said, "Let her in. The assistant couldn’t make it for the impromptu outing today."

"Um..." The staff worriedly glanced at Iris, considering the other artist today was Vera and couldn’t be easily deceived. But Iris was smiling so sweetly and seed easy to handle.

Besides, Patrick Pierce said so himself, so they let her in. The staff stepped aside and whispered a warning, "The artist inside isn’t easy to deal with, be careful while helping..."

Not easy to deal with. Iris thought, is there really soone harder to deal with than her?

Before she had even stepped inside to greet them, a paper cup flew at her, with so tea inside, splattering along with a sharp female voice from inside—"Why should I have to wait so long? I’m not filming!"

Not filming?

Hearing this made Iris grit her teeth; she risked driving fast to get here, only to be told there was no filming?

She dodged, and the cup landed at her feet, getting so tea on her shoes. Iris raised an eyebrow, looking inside.

Patrick Pierce was sitting expressionless on a chair, while a slender woman with striking looks sat on another chair. No wonder she was a famous actress and admired by many; her looks were even more stunning than on TV.

Unfortunately, once she started talking, it ruined her beauty; she pointed at Patrick Pierce and said, "I’ve been waiting for you so long!"

Patrick Pierce said, "Did I beg you to wait for ?"

"..." Iris just wanted to applaud Patrick Pierce, well said!

Vera was stunned; she was always used to doing things her way and didn’t expect Patrick Pierce to be equally difficult, making it hard for her to save face. Her voice imdiately rose, "What do you an, Patrick Pierce?"

"Lower your voice," Patrick Pierce said impatiently. "Dragging people out in the middle of the night, getting everyone to play along just because you feel like it? You’re really clueless."

Iris gave Patrick Pierce a thumbs up, what a cutting remark!

Vera had really hit a wall this ti. Other artists weren’t as famous or well-backed as she was, so they naturally wouldn’t dare argue with her.

But Patrick Pierce was top-tier in both popularity and reputation; even if Vera could argue, she had to consider the consequences.

Patrick Pierce was difficult, and those around him weren’t easy either. Vera switched targets and pointed at Iris, "And you! Who are you? Coming with Patrick Pierce in the middle of the night, which company sent you here for a backdoor?"

Iris pointed at herself, "Driver."

Upon hearing she was a driver, Vera’s disdain only grew. Having been rebuked by Patrick Pierce, she needed to regain so face elsewhere, especially since Iris’s looks... made her feel threatened.

Used to outshining everyone, how could she tolerate another beautiful and attractive woman drawing attention? Vera had noticed from the mont Iris walked in, many of the male staff had been sneaking glances at her!

How could she swallow this? She was the one who should stand out!

So she said to Iris, "As a driver, why are you so dolled up? Are you trying to use this chance to sneak into showbiz? You think anyone can just get in here?"

Iris rolled her eyes upward, "Sorry, not interested."

Vera was taken aback, not expecting even Patrick Pierce’s driver to be this cheeky. She imdiately threw another cup of water at Iris, "Kick her out! And we’re not filming today or any day after! I’m ending this collaboration!"

The staff wore expressions of doom, turning to Patrick Pierce, hoping he’d diate, but Patrick Pierce just shrugged from his seat, "Good, not filming is better, saves the trouble."

... Not an ounce of face was given to Vera.

Vera, looking at Patrick Pierce’s handso face, was furious. Was she really uglier than this seductive-looking driver? Clearly, it was this driver with ulterior motives, yet Patrick Pierce wouldn’t speak for her! Used to unconditional support from n, the actress’s face flushed red, "I’m not filming, unless your driver apologizes to !"

Iris picked up the paper cup from the ground and threw it back with such force that it hit Vera right on the forehead, "Who says you’re not filming? You don’t get to decide!"

The whole room gasped!

Vera was so shocked by Iris’s audacity that her previously red face turned pale. Regaining her composure, she was seething. How could she let a re driver walk all over her? She called for her assistants to grab Iris, "Drag her out! What’s wrong with you all, letting soone like her in here? Patrick Pierce, does your driver treating like this not bother you at all?"

Iris quickly slipped to Patrick Pierce’s side, stopping Vera’s assistants who dared not approach for fear of disturbing Patrick Pierce.

She taunted Vera, "You can throw cups at others, but can’t accept them being thrown back?" Lachlan Wyatt had to put up with her throwing an ashtray back at him! Who does a re actress think she is, causing trouble!

Hearing Iris, Vera stood up herself; she was the best at throwing tantrums, knowing that no one would dare disrespect her, especially backed by the Jacobs Family, everyone would have to listen to her in the end.

Furious, she exclaid, "I’m done! Not filming! Everyone get out! Tomorrow I’m holding a press conference to expose all of you!"

After these words, the staff began to look scared, "Vera, please don’t be mad. We all got up in the middle of the night to be here, and we have a contract..."

"Who gave you permission not to film?" a voice cut through, and everyone turned to see Iris standing behind Patrick Pierce, "You lot, go and bring over the equipnt!"

Patrick Pierce widened his eyes in slight surprise.

Iris hated being oppressed at work, everyone worked hard to get up in the middle of the night to serve a temperantal actress, just thinking about it was unbearable, "Patrick Pierce ca out late at night, the staff didn’t dare complain and gathered at a mont’s notice, contracts signed and now you just decide not to film? You’re filming whether you want to or not! Stop wasting everyone’s ti with your gas!"

The forceful statent left everyone stunned.

All the things they dared not say were being said by this re driver...

Vera’s eyes were red, she’d been in showbiz for so long and had never been reprimanded so harshly, "I said I’m not filming! What about the penalty fee, I’ve got Jacobs backing , I can afford it!"

She can afford it!

Look at her acting all high and mighty! Relying on the Jacobs Family’s investnt, trampling over others’ hard work!

Iris laughed coldly on the spot, "One more ti, you’re really not filming?"

Vera put her hands on her hips, surrounded by several assistants ready to fight for her, what should she be afraid of?

"Yes, we’ll et at the press conference tomorrow! Don’t think you can get away with crossing , you ignorant woman—"

"Alright!"

Patrick Pierce clapped with a mocking smile, "You all heard her, she decided to breach the contract and not film, so let’s thank her in advance for the breach fee. Is the makeup artist here!"

What’s happening?

The makeup artist hesitantly raised a hand, "I’m here."

Patrick Pierce pointed at Iris, "Do her makeup, Vera’s not filming, I’m doing the ad with her."

Everyone was stunned!
