To Hannah Lennox, the reactions of Lachlan Wyatt and Iris Crawford felt like a slap to her face. She had assud that her appearance would be tempting enough for Lachlan, but it seed they didn’t care about that at all...
Various emotions surged up, genuinely driving Hannah to tears. Her dignity in tatters, combined with a sense of sha, made her squat on the spot and cry, her shoulders shaking uncontrollably. What lady could endure such humiliation?
However, seeing her cry, Iris Crawford showed no change in expression. It was only after Hannah’s sobbing started to break off that Iris said, "Since you know this is self-inflicted humiliation, don’t do such things in the future. No matter for whom, it’s not worth it."
Hearing this, Hannah’s crying halted halfway through.
Imdiately after, Iris placed a coat over Hannah and then said, "Since you like it here, I’ll leave this room to you. Lachlan, you should move out today."
Lachlan always followed Iris’s opinions without objection. This woman made her own decisions, but fortunately, Felix Crawford wasn’t at ho staying with the Lockwood Family during this ti. Otherwise, this scene would have been difficult to explain if Felix had seen it.
Following Iris out, Lachlan didn’t offer his sister any more consolation, rely watching her squat on the ground draped in the coat and cry, before gently closing the door.
Once they were outside, Iris sighed, "Your sister really is a handful."
"I heard there’s been an alarm."
Lachlan glanced back at the closed door and lowered his voice, "Did Hannah tamper with things in the study?"
"Yes, leaving her at ho was intentional so she could leave traces."
Iris led Lachlan to the master bedroom, where Number Nine was cleaning. Seeing Iris, he smiled, "Give a mont, the bathroom will be done soon."
Watching Number Nine dressed in steward attire, busy around Iris, Lachlan’s teeth itched with jealousy. If he didn’t know Number Nine was a robot, he surely would have punched him away. How dare this obnoxious man co and compete for his place!
However, now, Lachlan saw Iris’s face showing not much fluctuation, so he brought his thoughts back to serious matters. "So you intentionally left Hannah at ho from the beginning?"
"Yes, I wanted to give her a chance to be alone at ho so that she’d reveal her hand in snooping around our house."
In Iris’s master bedroom, there was another computer. After she turned it on, she displayed the data on it. "Look, my device shows that Hannah once invaded our study. Before we left, I specifically reminded her not to go into the study. So, based on Hannah’s personality, if she had sothing to hide, she’d definitely sneak in to check after we left."
Manipulating people’s minds is sothing Iris has perfected.
"So, we can conclude that Hannah is still in contact with Jonas Kingsley."
Iris looked up, her gaze sharp. "Her words are unreliable. We must prepare for ourselves. Also, the data on the study’s computer is shown to Hannah through my remote control, so rest assured, no important files were revealed to Jonas Kingsley."
Lachlan couldn’t help but want to applaud Iris for this. In such a short ti, she arranged so many consecutive plots. If anyone were to beco her enemy, it would be a tragic end.
"I’m sure Hannah will soon feel restless and reach out to Jonas Kingsley, and when she does, we can bring Jonas down, and everything will be caught."
Iris tapped on the keyboard, seemingly programming sothing. To guard against Hannah, she found it necessary to write a specialized program to protect her computer. However, in the next mont, a pair of hands embraced her from behind.
"What are you doing?" Iris clicked her tongue.
"Just hugging you, just hugging you."
Seeing Iris in golden-rimd glasses drove Lachlan crazy—so intellectual and alluring at the sa ti, who could resist that?
Even with Iris fully covered in his eyes, she was far more enticing than any woman without a stitch of clothing.
Lachlan said, "Continue with your work, I’m just feeling you."
"I don’t mind breaking your hand again, Lachlan."
Iris, staring at the screen, didn’t turn around, but she smirked coldly, "Do you want to die?"
"I do, I do," Lachlan nodded greedily, "I want to die on you."
