Dante and Iris Crawford have been married for five years, but this is the first ti they learned about having a child. It is said that this was the first ti paparazzi took a photo near the Royal Palace of Iris holding a child, and this photo made outsiders realize for the first ti through the lens that they had a child.

Only the child’s eyes weren’t captured, otherwise, everyone would surely be stunned at why the child’s eyes look different.

Lachlan Wyatt irritably ruffled his hair. Felix Crawford was undoubtedly his child, yet everyone seed to think he was Dante’s child now.

Being mistaken as the wrong child’s father doesn’t feel good at all.

Didn’t Iris Crawford try to clarify this in the Royal Palace?

Lachlan’s doubts couldn’t be answered by anyone, and he certainly couldn’t just go ask Iris directly, in these five years... Did Dante touch you?

Knowing Iris’s personality, she’d probably just give him a beautiful eye-roll as a response.

His mind was a whirl of emotions, but now that Iris was willing to sit in a car with him, Lachlan didn’t dare to say more to irritate her.

When they arrived at The Crawford Residence, they found Seraphina Colbert standing there waving at her. Iris’s eyes lit up, and she imdiately got out of the car and hugged her good friend. At that mont, Felix was cast aside, his short legs hurried a few steps forward, pointing at himself, he exclaid, "Ms. Iris! Your baby is here! Right here!"

Beside them, Jas Chesterton leaned toward Sarah Shaw’s ear, "This jealous look is exactly like Lachlan’s..."

Before he could finish, he felt Lachlan’s sharp gaze like a knife slicing through the air, frightening Jas into shrinking back imdiately, "Ahem, nothing, nothing..."

Hearing the commotion, Seraphina looked down to see a smaller version of Lachlan standing a short distance away, tugging at Iris’s dress, his little face puffed with anger. She imdiately burst into laughter, "Oh my! Is this the legendary son of yours, Iris? My God! How did he grow so fast?"

Five years have passed in the blink of an eye.

Seraphina picked Felix up from the ground, glanced back, and asked, "So, have you been married to Lachlan in these five years?"

With those words, Lachlan felt as though he’d been stabbed in the chest.

The intense pain made Lachlan close his eyes involuntarily, taking a long ti to recover his breath.

Then he heard Iris’s numb voice, "No, Dante and I haven’t divorced yet."

Seraphina was montarily stunned, "The child isn’t..."

"The child isn’t Dante’s."

Unexpectedly, Iris didn’t shy away, stating the painful truth so bluntly, "But Dante doesn’t mind his existence, as long as it doesn’t get exposed. The paparazzi snapping this photo was a coincidence, so I agreed to let Felix return to the country first, to lay low for a bit. Then, we’ll publicly claim he’s a distant Royal relative, not our child."

Once the child’s existence is exposed, attention is bound to follow.

Having been secretly photographed by paparazzi, Felix’s identity is precarious, hence why Felix appeared overseas, staying beside Lachlan — to avoid the lilight?

Now Lachlan understood why Felix suddenly appeared at his company.

Feeling sowhat aggrieved, Lachlan smirked with a cold smile, "You really let my son recognize soone else as his father, didn’t you?"

Iris paused in her steps.

She turned back expressionlessly to look at Lachlan, and after being numb for a long ti, suddenly grinned, her smile so powerful it almost seed to make the ground tremble.

"I can do anything, Young Master Wyatt, haven’t you realized that on the very first day?"

Lachlan was speechless, a scorching fury welling up in his heart.

He spoke with a hoarse voice, "You’re ruthless, Iris. You know well my dignity wouldn’t withstand all this."

Iris stepped closer, staring at Lachlan’s pale face, as if waiting for him to crumble at any mont, "I’m ruthless? You taught this, Lachlan, it’s just karma coming around. Why wouldn’t I tell you everything? I like watching you misunderstand , like watching things spiral out of control, like seeing you overwheld with regret. Am I ruthless? You forced to be."

She is Iris Crawford.

The Queen, a highly formidable Female Guardian, and at the sa ti—his Heart Demon.

"Why give birth to my child with Dante, why do that..." Lachlan’s voice trembled, "I’m human too, no matter how tough my heart is, it still hurts..."

"There’s a backstory, with so many tangled issues back then, doing so was indeed the quickest solution. But I prefer another explanation."

Iris’s eyes brimd with tears as she smiled, "Because I wanted to get back at you."

Lachlan felt his breath pause.

She would rather deliberately turn herself unreasonable, rather than telling those truths and reasons that would make Lachlan regret, rather than using the most hurting words to pierce his heart!

She knows what would cause him the deepest pain, so she used the most thorough way!

Lachlan’s Adam’s apple bobbed up and down, his eyes forced to redden.

Iris, oh Iris, the tighter he entangles with you, the more he feels like he’s grasping a blade, and the more bloody it becos.
