904: Chapter 904: The Enemy Caught Up 904: Chapter 904: The Enemy Caught Up After a three-hour drive, Su Hui and Gu Fan arrived at a factory in the remote suburbs.

This place seldom saw visitors, making it an ideal spot to accommodate David and the space-ti door.

In order to avoid discovery, Gu Fan hadn’t visited since arranging for David and the space-ti door to be there.

Therefore, naturally unbeknownst to anyone, no one had disturbed David up until now.

When Gu Fan and Su Hui arrived at the factory and saw the space-ti door standing before them, a sense of relief welled up in their hearts, their efforts over this period had not been in vain, and they could finally wait for this day.

“You’ve worked hard, David!” Gu Fan handed the energy key to David, his eyes filled with all the hope he had placed in him.

David nodded, “I will do as you instructed over the phone before you ca, you’ve thought of everything.”

“We had no choice but to take the risk and gamble,” Gu Fan said, followed by a sigh.

Subsequently, David inserted the energy key into the space-ti door, starting up the grand machine, and everyone’s hearts beat in sync with it.

At that mont, a loud bang resounded as the factory doors were smashed open, Helen, Qiao Ya, and Dong Ni burst in with their people, especially Helen, who wore a smug smile on her face.

“What, how did you get here?

Did you track ?” Gu Fan was shocked, his complexion drastically changing as he and Su Hui tensed up, ready for combat.

Qiao Ya, pointing a gun at Su Hui and Gu Fan, said sternly, “I advise you two not to act rashly, or don’t bla the bullets for being blind.”

“You want to take the space-ti door, dream on.” Gu Fan assud a defiant stance, and step by step moved towards Helen, showing no fear of the opposition’s ard numbers.

Helen smirked slightly, “Gu Fan, you are very smart.

The first ti, the space-ti door was truly sabotaged by Qian Ye at the underground research base, but the second ti, the damaged door at the abandoned factory was fake, wasn’t it?

Your aim was to make us all give up on the space-ti door while you worked in secret.”

Gu Fan nodded, “That’s correct, but I didn’t expect…”

“You didn’t expect that the energy key needed for the space-ti door was in our possession, so you had no choice but to co to .

Did you think I wouldn’t know the purpose of this key?

But, from the mont you asked for the key, I suspected that your space-ti door was undamaged and already completed,” Helen said with a slight smile, proud as she looked at Gu Fan.

Gu Fan’s eyes showed a hint of anger, “You saw through this, which is why you played along with my plan, deliberately giving the energy key, and then tracking all the way here, right?”

“Yes, it’s a bit regrettable, but I had to think of the interests of the organization, so my apologies,” Helen said, snapping her fingers, ready to seize the object by force.

At this point, no matter how unwilling Gu Fan was, he had no choice, the balance of power was clear.

Learning from past mistakes, Qiao Ya took special care to watch Su Hui, with several guns aid at her, ensuring she wouldn’t make any rash moves, else she’d be responsible for the consequences.

Just then, the already activated space-ti door began emitting irregular noises, followed by a sudden burst of sparks.

To everyone’s shock, the door caught fire, spewing thick smoke.

“This is bad, this is really bad!” David frantically fiddled with the equipnt, finding it unresponsive, spinning in distress.

Gu Fan grew even more anxious, this was their only hope, “What’s going on, David?

Tell what’s happening,” Gu Fan urged.

David shook his head, sighing, his pessimistic deanor causing Gu Fan’s heart to sink bit by bit.

“This space-ti door was always a flawed castoff.

I had no choice but to use it, and in the end, one person’s efforts were limited; I couldn’t fix such a complex machine, I’ve failed,” David spoke weakly, chilling Gu Fan’s heart.

“You’ve got to be kidding !” Helen looked at the burning space-ti door, then at Gu Fan’s face as he struggled to accept reality.

She began to speak as if to offer comfort, but Gu Fan coldly said, “Are you happy now?

Without the space-ti door, you can get out of my house.”

“This isn’t on , Gu Fan,” Helen started to explain, grabbing his arm, but Gu Fan coldly shook her off, “You like the space-ti door so much, take it then, and don’t bother again.

I just want to live a normal life.”

Gu Fan gazed at the space-ti door now ablaze, his expression revealing deep distress.

It was clear no one should provoke him at this mont.

“I’m sorry, Gu Fan, I regret that things have co to this, but I hope we can still be friends,” Helen said as she and her group departed.

However, not ready to let go, she turned back, adding, “By the way, I am not moving out, because I have the right to live in this old house.”

Although Gu Fan didn’t understand what Helen ant, his mind was not receptive to anything anymore.

He felt a frustration welling up inside, ready to burst, and he released it by kicking sothing nearby.

Seeing Gu Fan like this, both Su Hui and David were at a loss for words of comfort.

“Perhaps this is fate.

It must be that fate didn’t want the space-ti door to fall into the hands of Organization X,” David murmured regretfully, secretly relieved that the door was destroyed instead of falling into the wrong hands.

“Yes, maybe it really is fate,” Gu Fan sighed deeply.

If due to his own oversight the space-ti door had fallen into the hands of Organization X, he might beco a sinner through the ages.

An hour later, the flas died out, and the space-ti door was charred beyond recognition, emitting a pungent odor.

Only the energy key remained intact, unsurprisingly, given its origin from an ancient Super Civilization.

Su Hui took a walk around the factory, then rushed back to report that Helen and the people from Organization X had left, their plan perfectly executed.

“Good, that’s the way, if one deception doesn’t work, try two.” Gu Fan smiled slightly, his spirit rejuvenated, devoid of his previous despair.

He approached the charred remains of the space-ti door and removed the energy key.

Even surrounded by fierce flas, the energy key was not scalding, further proving its authenticity.

“Thank you, Helen!

Thank you for taking the bait for , using the real energy key,” Gu Fan said joyfully, clutching the energy key tightly in his hand, and then glanced at David.

David nodded, “What just happened was a ruse, but what cos next is real.

However, I can’t guarantee success; we have to be prepared for failure.

Are you prepared for that?”
