613: Chapter 613: The People on the Ship 613: Chapter 613: The People on the Ship Everyone waited for a long ti, but Gu Fan, Su Hui, and Jie never returned.

Even after Lu Yi called out several tis without receiving a reply, everyone began to worry about the safety of the three.

At that mont, Gu Fan, Su Hui, and Jie resurfaced, waving their arms at everyone to signal that they were okay and that everyone could co aboard.

So Lin Xi was the first to board the ship, followed by Lu Yi.

One by one, everyone boarded, with the captain and crew mbers particularly eager to check whether the ship was usable.

As soon as Gu Ling boarded, Gu Fan pulled him aside and told him to keep an eye on the island.

Gu Ling watched for a while, then shook his head to indicate that he didn’t sense any danger.

With Gu Ling’s assurance, Gu Fan was able to relax.

But he wondered, if the boss wasn’t on this cargo ship or on the island, where could he be?

Lu Yi didn’t care about that and focused on scavenging what he could.

But after a fruitless search, he ended up disappointed and complained, “Those guys are stingy.

They didn’t leave us anything even when they left.”

After thoroughly inspecting the cargo ship, the captain confird that it was indeed operable, with all the equipnt undamaged.

The only issue was that it had run aground and couldn’t move.

Still, the captain was able to use the ship’s navigation system to determine their location, which was quite helpful.

Everyone felt a sense of hope, thinking that the captain could be relied on.

They now put all their trust in the captain, determined to leave this place no matter what.

According to the navigation system, they were significantly off their intended course.

But that didn’t matter – they just had to travel further.

The most important thing was that they were now very close to East Land.

Upon receiving this good news, everyone was overjoyed.

They felt victory was in sight and that they no longer had to worry about encountering any fog or pirates.

They could finally sleep safe and sound.

Since everyone had been sleeping uncomfortably cramped together on the ship they had seized from the pirates, they were glad for the spaciousness and nurous beds on the cargo ship.

Gu Fan initially wanted to set off imdiately, but seeing everyone looking so exhausted, he felt his eyelids growing heavy too.

So, Gu Fan decided to get a good night’s sleep and set off at dawn, full speed ahead to East Land.

Of course, even while everyone was sleeping, they still needed soone to stay on guard duty.

Gu Fan and Lin Xi took the first shift, patrolling and chatting.

Lin Xi sighed, looking as though she was lost in thought.

Seeing this, Gu Fan asked, “What’s wrong?

You’re sighing a lot.

Is sothing bothering you?

Tell about it, maybe I can help.

That’s what boyfriends are supposed to do.”

“Thank you, Gu Fan.

But this is sothing I don’t even know how to start explaining to you.

I’m afraid I’ll only increase your worries.” Lin Xi looked troubled, a hint of unease in her eyes.

Gu Fan was more curious than ever and urged Lin Xi to tell him.

Lin Xi hesitated for a mont before asking, “Gu Fan, do you rember what happened after we encountered the fog for the first ti?”

Gu Fan thought for a mont, then replied, “Our cargo ship ran aground near the island where the Pirate Gang was based.

Then the fog lifted, and we escaped just in ti.

But then an ancient wooden ship erged from the fog.

If I rember correctly, there were many people on the old ship, all dressed in ancient attire, including the pirates who attacked us and so of our crew mbers.”

Lin Xi nodded, then asked, “Gu Fan, do you have any idea what I saw?”

“What?” Gu Fan furrowed his eyebrows, knowing that the critical point was coming.

Lin Xi’s face grew somber as she said, “I saw two won in ancient dress on the wooden ship.

They were sisters from Shennv Xuanhui and their faces were familiar.”

“Really?” Gu Fan was horrified.

He never expected that even the people from Shennv Xuanhui would be brought onto that wooden ship.

Lin Xi continued, “I suspect that Qian Qing’s companions from Shennv Xuanhui ca to the Triangle Sea Area with her and then encountered so trouble, so…”

“This ans even you could potentially be unable to handle what’s in the fog.

You might also be captured.” Gu Fan went cold, breaking out in a cold sweat.

He had naively thought that with Lin Xi’s abilities, they didn’t need to fear anything within the fog.

Lin Xi sighed and said, “I couldn’t understand before how Qian Qing could bring so many sisters from Shennv Xuanhui to the Triangle Sea Area and end up with a complete defeat.

I couldn’t imagine anything being that terrible.

But seeing what’s happened here, the Triangle Sea Area is far more fearful than I imagined.

The attack on our boss, I’m afraid even he might be taken to that wooden ship now.”

Gu Fan found it hard to believe, “You said the wooden ship was strange, I agreed.

You said the fog was terrifying, I acknowledged as I experienced it myself.

But you’re saying they could take down our boss?

I find it hard to believe.

Don’t forget, the boss is immortal.”

“Immortality only ans he can’t be killed, not that he can’t be captured.

Didn’t you capture the boss once in the past?” Lin Xi spoke reasonably and Gu Fan felt a sinking feeling.

He thought that might be true – while killing the boss was difficult, taking him down wasn’t impossible.

If the fog hides sothing truly terrifying that can even suppress the boss, Gu Fan knew they should leave as soon as possible.

This was not the place for them.

All these conjectures undeniably added trendous pressure to Gu Fan.

Seeing Gu Fan grow increasingly serious, Lin Xi began to worry, “Gu Fan, these are all my speculations, they might not actually happen.

Don’t overthink it.”

“No, since we’re already here, we must be prepared for the worst.” Gu Fan stroked his chin and started to think.

Then he made a decision – they must depart tonight, making use of the bright moonlight to quickly get out of the central area of the Triangle Sea Zone.

So they ford a plan and acted imdiately.

Gu Fan started waking everyone up, saying that they should leave ASAP and travel overnight.

Everyone had been sleeping well, even dreaming sweetly.

Suddenly being awakened by Gu Fan gave them a start.

They thought sothing urgent happened and were scared.

When they learned the reason Gu Fan woke them up so early, so were speechless, finding him too cautious.

Just as Gu Fan was trying to persuade everyone to set off quickly, soone shouted, “Look!

There’s soone coming from the island toward us.”
