At this mont, snipers from both the Tower of Darkness and a high-rise building were engaged in a duel, bullets whizzing in and out of the two structures.

People kept getting shot, kept falling down, as both sides competed not only in marksmanship but also in tactics, and it was a test of the mind and will, as well as numbers.

Unfortunately, the resistance forces had limited manpower, and after losing several snipers, they began to struggle.

"Everyone, fire once, then change locations," Jie ordered, and all snipers imdiately complied, starting to shift positions.

After losing several mbers in succession, X Legion recognized that the resistance forces were continuously changing sniper positions, so they also began to shift, firing just one shot per location.

Both sides moved within the buildings as quickly as possible, utilizing walls when there were any, sprinting over, and crawling under windows when passing by, all to ensure quick transfers without being detected by the enemy.

Jie had practiced marksmanship too, and he joined in the sniping, several tis narrowly avoiding getting hit by enemy bullets.

"Damn, they’re tough," Jie muttered, changing a sniper location, but the enemy also changed, so he needed to cautiously reveal so trace in order to spot the enemy through the sniper scope.

Similarly, this was true for the enemy as well. Everyone knew the others followed the sa tactic of firing and changing places, so the opponent would not appear in the sa spot twice, requiring swifter detection.

The Tower of Darkness was tall, offering many suitable sniper positions, but the high-rise Jie and his team were on only had ten floors, with fewer sniper spots than the Tower of Darkness, combined with a nurical disadvantage, Jie’s side started to fall behind.

A sniper from the resistance forces got shot and fell right in front of Lu Yi, frightening him: "Damn, we might not be a match."

Beside him, Gu Xiaojin imdiately picked up a sniper rifle, testing its balance in her hands.

Lu Yi was a bit worried: "Listen, niece, I know you’ve trained, but you really lack talent in marksmanship. Maybe you should follow my advice and stick to assistance."

Upon hearing this, Gu Xiaojin thought it made perfect sense, so she handed the sniper rifle to Lu Yi, then smiled, saying: "Uncle Lu Yi, you go for it. I’m your support, rest assured, no matter how seriously you’re injured, as long as you’re alive, even on your last breath, I can confidently save you."

"What do you an, you’re not suggesting I join this highly technical fight, are you?" Lu Yi’s face dropped, finding this challenge tougher than fighting vampires.

Gu Xiaojin showed a puzzled expression: "What do you an, you’re saying sniping is technical, implying that my dad and the others fight using brute force?"

"Isn’t that the case?" Lu Yi just finished speaking when a bullet whizzed past his ear, giving him quite a shock.

Lu Yi and Gu Xiaojin quickly took cover, that was really close, unintentionally leaving a trace but being spotted by the opponent, fortunately, their aim wasn’t great, otherwise they’d have trouble.

Once Gu Xiaojin regained her senses, she realized sothing was off; X Legion’s elite snipers, each supposedly an expert marksman, shouldn’t be missing shots like this.

Lu Yi didn’t bother with such details, having escaped death, he only wished to hide in a corner and await the battle’s conclusion.

A scream rang out, yet another resistance sniper got hit and fell to the ground.

Now there were two sniper rifles, Gu Xiaojin and Lu Yi each had one, but neither had enough confidence in their shooting skills, they didn’t want to embarrass themselves.

Below, the sounds of battle echoed, outside the building, bullets roared, and though the fight had just begun, it was already incredibly fierce.

Listening to comrades shout, advance, and wail, Gu Xiaojin and Lu Yi couldn’t resist any longer, deciding to act, but the question remained how.

Gu Xiaojin knew full well her strength lay not in marksmanship, but in magic, so she closed her eyes and began manipulating all the birds in Dark City to take flight, circle the Tower of Darkness, seeking out X Legion’s snipers.

And this tactic actually worked; Gu Xiaojin through the birds’ vision located the positions of X Legion’s snipers.

At this mont, Jie arrived, seeing two useless companions huddling in a corner, hiding, he fud and began reprimanding: "Are you two not embarrassed?"

Lu Yi blushed and quickly explained: "How could you say that about , if I were scared, I wouldn’t be here, but I’m really not good at sniping."

"No worries, I can play support." Gu Xiaojin opened her eyes, then smiled slightly at Jie.

At first, Jie didn’t understand what Gu Xiaojin ant by playing support, but once she explained, he felt invigorated.

"Great, Xiaojin, I’m relying on you." Jie picked up the sniper rifle, hid by the window, took a deep breath, getting ready to act based on Gu Xiaojin’s signals.

With Gu Xiaojin’s ability to sense danger, she could warn Jie in advance to dodge attacks, combined with the birds’ vision revealing enemy positions, there was a solid chance to turn the unfavorable situation around.

"Really possible?" Lu Yi held doubts, knowing Jie’s marksmanship wasn’t extraordinarily great either.

Another thing was even if Gu Xiaojin knew the enemy sniper positions, what thod could quickly inform Jie, considering there were nurous sniper positions within the Tower of Darkness.

These worries also concerned Jie. Both sides were rapidly shifting, even if Gu Xiaojin found out, informing Jie risked the enemy already moving.

Unexpectedly, Gu Xiaojin used a peculiar magic, transferring the scenes from her mind through bird vision, directly into Jie’s mind.

"Oh my, Xiaojin, you really have a way, I owe you one." Jie was even more motivated, identifying a sniper from the X Legion’s position, decisively popping out, aiming quickly, taking the shot.

Lu Yi, hiding aside, was a bit anxious: "How’d it go, did you hit? If not, I’m going to mock your lousy shooting skills."

"You better shut your doomsayer’s mouth." Jie managed a slight smile then gestured a peace sign.

Lu Yi also smiled: "Alright, let’s keep at it, though it doesn’t involve much technical skill, and though victory isn’t glorious, it’s better than Gu Fan, that guy’s cheat-enabled ways."

Upon hearing this, Jie and Gu Xiaojin paused, reflecting, finding Lu Yi’s words quite reasonable.
