Chapter 1685: Chapter 1685 Absolute Command
Inside the Tower of Darkness, the Supre Villain was teaching Gu Xiaotian how to read and write, occasionally teasing him with an air of a loving father.
Li Shi watched from the side, her heart perpetually tense. Only during monts of teaching the child did the Supre Villain wear a faint smile, resembling the Gu Fan of the past. At all other tis, he was a stranger, one that inspired fear.
At that mont, a figure walked in, disrupting the harmonious life of the Supre Villain and his family of three.
Ao Sai entered coldly and said, “No wonder Ning Qi couldn’t reach you. You should know what’s happened at the Demon Refining Island Base. Yet here you are enjoying yourself.”
“What does it matter? What he’s doing now is precisely what I once did,” the Supre Villain replied dismissively, even showing an unwelcoming expression toward Ao Sai.
Hearing this, Li Shi frowned, unable to understand what they were truly discussing.
Ao Sai’s icy expression seed to warn the Supre Villain to act according to his wishes.
Without hesitation, the Supre Villain tossed Gu Xiaotian to Li Shi and asked her to take the child and leave first.
The tension in the air was palpable. Li Shi realized the situation was dire and quickly left the room with the child. When the door shut, her heart tightened.
Inside the room, the Supre Villain and Ao Sai continued to face off. The Supre Villain defied Ao Sai’s wishes, even calmly sitting down and crossing his legs leisurely.
“Are you going to give the order or not?” Ao Sai clenched his fists, seemingly delivering a final ultimatum.
Gu Fan, completely unperturbed, replied calmly, “Ao Sai, what are you so worried about? Since the Destiny Stone has already decided what I’m ant to do, then these things will happen, won’t they?”
For a mont, Ao Sai was at a loss for words, unable to offer a rebuttal.
The Supre Villain continued, “Don’t worry. I will issue the order — orders to ensure my past self suffers the consequences. This is precisely what I once experienced myself.”
“Fine, I’ll trust you,” Ao Sai said reluctantly, though his eyes remained fixed on the Supre Villain, as if trying to verify his reliability.
Suddenly, Ao Sai thought of sothing and asked, “You said before that what your past self did is the sa as what you’ve done. So I want to know—when your past self and you ultimately faced off, what was the result?”
The Supre Villain chuckled lightly and replied, “I traveled through ti to the future, seeking revenge for Lin Xi and to confront my future self. But what I discovered was that my future self had joined forces with you, Ao Sai, concocting a grand sche. To sabotage this plan, I led a force of rebels to attack the Dark City, only to fail miserably because my opponent was literally my future self.”
“Is that so?” Ao Sai still appeared skeptical.
The Supre Villain stood up, walked to Ao Sai’s side, patted his shoulder, and said, “The Destiny Stone requires to fulfill the tasks assigned by the ancient Super Civilization. It will never allow to disrupt those tasks. The collision between my past self and my future self is just another step toward accomplishing this mission.”
Though it sounded reasonable, Ao Sai still demanded the Supre Villain issue the order imdiately to prove his allegiance.
“Fine, fine, I’ll issue the order right now. Look at how anxious you are,” the Supre Villain said. He stretched his finger into the air, and a holographic projection screen materialized in an instant.
As the Supre Villain gazed at the screen, a terrifying aura emanated from him once more. His visage beca solemn, commanding.
……
anwhile, at the command center of the Demon Refining Island Base, the large screen lit up as Ning Qi finally got through to the Supre Villain.
Gu Fan’s expression darkened the mont he saw the Supre Villain. This was the very man who had killed Lin Xi, who had killed Gu Ling.
“My past self, welco to my era,” the Supre Villain said with a contemptuous look. Then, he added, “Do you want to know what’s going to happen next?”
Gu Fan frowned slightly. “Don’t tell that everything I’m going through now is sothing you’ve already experienced before.”
The Supre Villain chuckled. “Rember what I told you before? I once saw Lin… killed by my future self with my own eyes. Like you, I hated my future self deeply. But does that change anything?”
Gu Xiaojin, standing nearby, listened in confusion. She sensed the Supre Villain was about to na soone, but abruptly stopped after saying “Lin.” It triggered her suspicion—who exactly was this “Lin”?
Suddenly, the na Lin Xi popped into Gu Xiaojin’s mind. She wondered, “Is that who he’s talking about?”
Gu Fan and the Supre Villain continued conversing nonchalantly, though beneath the surface Gu Fan was eager to uncover what would unfold next.
The Supre Villain inford Gu Fan that he would order the X Legion not to hold anyone accountable for attacking Gu Fan. He further instructed the X Legion to rember their loyalty lay with the Supre Villain—not with the past Gu Fan.
Thus, Gu Fan fled under the relentless pursuit of the X Legion, narrowly escaping with his life, while the resistance forces suffered devastating casualties.
This enraged Ning Qi, who readied herself for an imdiate assault. The X Legion, undeterred, began arming themselves with weapons.
Yet Gu Fan remained indifferent to those around him and asked another question: “There’s sothing I want to know. If I’m surrounded by the X Legion, I’ll definitely manage to escape, won’t I? Because if I don’t…”
Before Gu Fan could finish, the Supre Villain interrupted, completing his sentence: “If you don’t escape, you won’t be able to return to your original era. If you can’t return to your proper ti, none of this future will ever happen. Moreover, you’re probably wondering how many casualties the X Legion would suffer in this battle. You plan to use that consideration to intimidate those who dare move against you.”
“Damn, you already know what I was about to say,” Gu Fan’s heart sank. This ant whatever he was doing now was indeed sothing the Supre Villain had done in the past.
The X Legion didn’t care about the intricate mind gas between Gu Fan and the Supre Villain. If dealing with Gu Fan ant losses they couldn’t bear, it seed wiser to avoid violent asures altogether.
“Alright, my past self, wishing you a pleasant journey.” With that, the Supre Villain closed the communication channel.
“Wait!” Gu Fan still had one crucial question, but the Supre Villain, as if anticipating it, severed the connection before he could ask.
Gu Fan scowled, his eyes sweeping coldly over the surrounding enemies, and he declared firmly, “You’ve all heard it. Since the ultimate outco is returning to my original tiline, do you really think anyone here can stop ?”
