1621: Chapter 1621: Finding the Target 1621: Chapter 1621: Finding the Target The drone flew over this mountain range for a while and found that the mountain roads here were indeed extensive and complicated, making it difficult to track movents.

To avoid detection, Gu Fan and his team concealed themselves in a forest on the mountain, secretly observing the vehicles passing by on the road below.

Gu Fan had calculated that when a vehicle approached, he could possibly rush down and follow it closely with his strength.

The problem, however, was the inevitable noise, which would surely lead to discovery.

The best course of action at the mont would be to silently attach a tracking device to the vehicle with a special firearm, and then track it to find the location of the weapons facility.

This ti, however, everyone was traveling light and had not brought many things, including the tracker and the firearm to launch it.

“This is troubleso!” Gu Fan could only pin his hopes on Gu Xiaojin, hoping that Xiaojin could use magic to control birds and track the vehicles through their vision.

Xiaojin did as suggested, closing her eyes and focusing as if she were casting a spell, appearing quite credible in her efforts.

Everyone stared at Xiaojin, placing all their hopes on her.

Suddenly, Lu Yi remarked, “Is this really going to work?

Look at this wilderness, it’s a place even birds won’t shit in.”

Upon hearing this, everyone felt like kicking Lu Yi off the mountain.

Why did he have to speak up at this ti?

When Xiaojin opened her eyes, despondent, and told everyone that there truly wasn’t a single bird in sight,

“What do you an no birds?

Isn’t there a doomsayer right here?” Everyone disdainfully turned their eyes toward Lu Yi, who, under the pressure, pretended not to see and whistled nonchalantly.

Gu Fan signaled not to panic; since doomsayer Lu Yi had ntioned an ambush at the weapons facility, it ant they would indeed encounter an ambush there.

So, Gu Fan boosted morale, encouraging everyone not to be discouraged, as they would definitely find the weapons facility.

“This…” Everyone agreed that they wanted to locate the weapons facility and not be ambushed, but since doomsayer Lu Yi had said so, it seed that they would indeed find the facility, and also genuinely be ambushed.

What did this an?

Was finding the weapons facility credited to Lu Yi, while the ambush his fault, cancelling each other out?

There wasn’t a precedent for this before.

Gu Fan advised everyone instead of discussing how to define Lu Yi’s rits and faults, it would be better to focus on finding the weapons facility.

And so, everyone got back on topic, putting their minds to work, looking for solutions.

Once the drone returned, Gu Fan had a brainwave, realizing that since the drone had its own positioning device, it might work if the drone tracked the vehicle.

The idea was good, but after multiple uses, the drone’s battery life was low and might not support prolonged tracking.

Therefore, Gu Fan thought of an alternative thod: as the opposing vehicle passed, the drone could descend from the sky, land on the roof of the car, and thus follow the vehicle into the weapons facility.

Hearing this plan, everyone agreed.

The person controlling the drone took off following Gu Fan’s instructions, once they heard the sound of the vehicle.

The good thing was that it was nightti, and under the cover of darkness, few could see the drone in the sky, and the engine noise of the car could mask any noise from the drone.

So, when the drone landed on the roof of the car, the occupants did not realize.

Everyone stared at the screen, praying for the car to drive smoothly.

Otherwise, any jolt could knock the drone off the roof.

Fortunately, the journey was smooth.

Through the screen, they could see that the car seed to be arriving at a facility of so sort, with a massive iron gate in the mountain and several defensive cannons around it.

Gu Fan imdiately ordered the drone operator to slightly ascend the drone, detach from the vehicle, and fly to an area where no one would notice, being careful not to be detected.

Based on the drone’s position, everyone set out again, trudging over mountains and heading straight for the weapons facility.

“We’ve finally found it,” was the collective thought of everyone, their troubles not in vain.

The next step was to send the location to Jie, and wait for Jie to gather an army for an attack.

After all, Gu Fan and his few team mbers alone couldn’t take on the heavily defended weapons facility.

Leng Feng, looking at the heavy iron gate, couldn’t help but remark, “If we could sneak inside, we could create a force from within to cooperate with the outside attack.”

“What are you thinking about?” Gu Fan was opposed to the idea, the risk was too great.

He didn’t mind being invincible, but he didn’t want his children to be in any danger.

Leng Feng looked at Gu Fan earnestly and then said, “I’ve heard about how you managed to infiltrate Dark City by every ans possible.

I believe you can do it again this ti.”

“Well…” Gu Fan hesitated, as he found it difficult to refuse Leng Feng’s request.

Lu Yi poked Gu Fan’s arm and empathetically reminded him, “Bro, do you rember what I said before?”

“Of course I rember, but…” Gu Fan looked at the hopeful gleam in Leng Feng’s eyes, feeling fearful.

He was afraid that rejecting the idea would disappoint Leng Feng and freeze their father-son relationship, which had only just begun to thaw.

Seeing Gu Fan’s dilemma, Xiaojin quickly ca to smooth things over, “I think our main issue right now is figuring out how Uncle Jie should proceed, where they should co from.

Now that we know the location of the weapons facility, they don’t need to forcefully enter through the gate, right?”

Lu Yi also imdiately agreed, “Exactly, first we need to arrange the main forces, then decide based on the situation.”

Everyone consented, and even Leng Feng found it to make sense, so Gu Fan didn’t have to consider a highly risky plan, which secretly relieved him.

Then, it was ti to rest well.

Everyone hurried to find a place to lie down, to at least ditate if they couldn’t sleep, and waited patiently for the main forces to arrive.

Using this opportunity, Lu Yi pulled Gu Fan aside and warned him not to lose his judgnt in an effort to win Leng Feng’s favor.

Every decision Gu Fan made was crucial to success or failure and to the life and death of everyone involved.

Upon hearing this, Gu Fan also understood the gravity of the situation and thanked Lu Yi for the reminder.

“It’s really difficult…” Gu Fan sighed to the sky, his mood downcast and troubled.

He couldn’t understand why he had to deal with such vexing issues, why he couldn’t just live like a regular person.

Mysterious masked figure, future , what exactly do you want to do?

Gu Fan began to doubt whether the mysterious masked figure was simply creating problems for himself, out of sheer boredom.
