1595: Chapter 1595: The Future, Here I Co 1595: Chapter 1595: The Future, Here I Co An old factory, many people are tapping and fiddling with various objects, so focusing intensely, while others chat and laugh.
Suddenly, the space-ti door activates, catching everyone’s attention.
They all gather, eyes fixed on the space-ti tunnel, feeling tense, uncertain whether it brings good or bad news.
When Gu Xiaojin and Gu Fan cross through space-ti and stand before everyone, all are stunned.
“Everyone, I’m back, I…” Seeing the shocked expressions around her, Xiaojin guesses their thoughts, realizing this isn’t going to be easy to explain.
Gu Fan looks at the unfamiliar faces, fear visible in his eyes, forces a dry laugh, then greets, “Hello, my na is Gu Fan…”
“Damn, it really is the Great Demon King.” Everyone scatters quickly to find the nearest weapons.
“It’s bad, the Great Demon King is here!” Everyone, holding firearms, aims at Gu Fan, extrely tense.
Xiaojin knows the misunderstanding is serious, hurriedly clarifies, “Everyone listen, he is indeed Gu Fan, but he is not the Great Demon King.
This is Gu Fan from the past; he has much better character than the Great Demon King.”
Hearing this, Gu Fan is puzzled, thinking this Great Demon King must be the mysterious masked man, a nickna that clearly doesn’t belong to a good person.
Many still don’t believe it, keeping their weapons ready, not daring to be careless.
Gu Fan quickly raises his hands, signaling he is harmless: “Sorry everyone, I don’t know what you an by the Great Demon King, but I am definitely a good person.”
People are skeptical, so even make a disdainful expression as if only a fool would believe him.
As tension rises, ready to erupt into conflict anyti, soone stands up and speaks for Xiaojin: “Everyone relax, Xiaojin is right, he is not the Great Demon King.”
People seem to trust this person, gradually lowering their weapons, then visibly relax.
When Gu Fan sees this person, he is overjoyed, imdiately walking over even though the person has aged a lot, even ssy with a beard, but he still recognizes that this is his good friend Jie.
“You…” Before Gu Fan can say much, Jie coldly turns and walks away.
“This…” Gu Fan feels a bit awkward, not expecting such treatnt from his friend, wondering if it’s because of Hai or because the mysterious masked man is such a jerk.
Looking around, although no one shows hostility, they still distinctly keep their distance from Gu Fan, maintaining a respectful but distant deanor.
Seeing no one paying attention to him, Gu Fan looks at Gu Xiaojin with a pleading expression.
Xiaojin comforts him: “Dad, don’t mind them, they have all suffered under the cruel rule of the mysterious masked man, so they have a bad impression of you.
I hope you can understand, but I believe you can change their view of you through your actions.”
“Really?” Gu Fan looks around again, noticing no sign of welco, which sowhat depresses him.
Xiaojin then explains, this place is a resistance base, and Jie is the leader of the resistance, essentially leading everyone against the mysterious masked man.
“Who knew Jie would go so far?” Gu Fan exclaid.
Just as he was about to ask more, Gu Xiaojin was called away.
Thus, Gu Fan could only wander around alone, casually glancing around as if on a tour.
In an effort to blend in and be accepted by everyone here, Gu Fan tried chatting up various people.
Soone was repairing a chanical arm, and its flexibility was no different from a human limb, which intrigued Gu Fan.
So he approached and greeted, “Brother, that arm of yours is really unique.”
The man replied indifferently, “This chanical arm can replace my original arm, with ten tis the strength.
After the Demon King destroyed my hand, I’ll use this chanical arm to crush his skull.”
Hearing this, Gu Fan realized he almost approached the wrong person and quickly apologized with a smile, “Your fighting spirit is admirable.
I greatly respect it.
If necessary, I can lend you a hand, but I won’t bother you for now, brother.”
As he walked on, Gu Fan saw soone assembling a gun, a very large gun, twice the size of normal firearms, with a longer barrel, seemingly capable of long-range sniping.
This ti, Gu Fan learned his lesson, “Brother, that gun of yours is quite special; I wish you success in blowing the Demon King’s head off with one shot.”
The person just gave Gu Fan a blank look, as if looking at a fool, leaving Gu Fan embarrassed and unsure of where he went wrong.
At this mont, in an office, Jie was monitoring Gu Fan trying to fit in, his gaze filled with complexity.
“Xiaojin, I don’t know why you brought him here.” Jie shook his head and sighed, seemingly displeased to see Gu Fan, as if his presence stirred up so painful mories.
Gu Xiaojin imdiately responded, “It was my dad’s order to bring him here.
He said there’s a score to settle with the Demon King, and he believes only he can defeat the Demon King.”
“Have you considered, what if this Gu Fan and the Demon King join forces?
Then we’re even more hopeless,” questioned Jie sternly as he looked straight at Gu Xiaojin, “I sent you to the past, hoping you would change it and thus affect the future, not ss things up.”
Seeing Jie’s disappointed look, Gu Xiaojin smiled wryly and shook her head, “If it were really possible to change the past, I wouldn’t have resorted to this asure.”
Then Gu Xiaojin shared her experiences, leaving Jie astonished, finally understanding the powerful force of the Destiny Stone and that it’s impossible to change past events.
The plan of having the past Gu Fan defeat the future Gu Fan started to seem feasible to Jie, and he felt it was worth a gamble since there was no better option available now.
Jie rubbed his head and tried to adjust his mindset, thinking how to et Gu Fan later and how to avoid an awkward situation.
Seeing Jie’s troubled deanor, Gu Xiaojin said, “Uncle Jie, if you don’t want to face my dad, I can relay ssages for you in the future.”
“No need, I know what to do,” Jie sighed again, as he struggled to overco his inner hurdles.
Gu Xiaojin seed to understand what Jie was thinking so she offered to help, “How about this?
I’ll take my dad for a casual visit, and then we’ll stumble upon you, then you guys can just have a chat, maybe you can rekindle the old feelings?”
Hearing this, Jie looked at Gu Xiaojin with a strange expression and then remarked, “Why does it feel like you’re setting up on a blind date?”
