1517: Chapter 1517: Everyone Has a Past 1517: Chapter 1517: Everyone Has a Past What do people lack the most?

What they lack the most is ti; once you have infinite ti, you have infinite possibilities.

However, once people live too long, they can get everything and lose everything, and eventually they no longer cherish anything, slowly becoming numb to the people and mistakes around them.

For vampires, anyone who has lived over two hundred years is like this.

Xue Lang watched another fallen comrade, expressionless, leaped onto a high wall, looking down at the ruins of Dark City, his heart filled with sighs.

Who would have thought the imnse, invincible Organization X could also have its mont of downfall.

“It’s over, and that’s fine!” Xue Lang, with an indifferent expression, thought that perhaps without the constraints of Organization X, he could finally be free.

Suddenly, Xue Lang noticed a male vampire dragging a female vampire in a frantic escape; it seed they no longer wanted to serve Organization X, they wanted to break free from here.

Xue Lang saw how the male and female leaned on each other, and knew that this couple had just recently beco vampires, still possessing what’s called emotions.

Gradually, a long-buried mory awakened in Xue Lang.

By then, he had been a vampire for several hundred years, long devoid of any emotions, completely uninterested in any romantic relationships.

At that ti, a woman nad Xue ng joined Organization X.

She still harbored beautiful aspirations towards life, still had youth and vigor.

Her arrival was like a stone thrown into the stagnant waters of Xue Lang’s life.

Back then, Xue ng’s smile had a contagious power, and a gentle strength that made conversing and working with her naturally easy.

Xue ng’s arrival even stirred so ripples in Xue Lang’s emotions, though only slightly.

After all, having lived so long, Xue Lang had seen all types of people.

Later on, Xue Lang unexpectedly noticed a family heirloom necklace on Xue ng and realized she was his bloodline.

Xue Lang could no longer rember the romantic exploits from before he beca a vampire; he only rembered leaving the family heirloom with a woman.

Although Xue Lang cared little for offspring, Xue ng was still his bloodline; he took good care of Xue ng, hoping she would soday gain recognition from Organization X and truly beco a vampire.

With Xue Lang’s help, Xue ng integrated more quickly into the organization, demonstrated many ritorious deeds, pleasing Xue Lang greatly.

He even began to think having a daughter wasn’t so bad—reliable in critical monts.

Once during a mission, Xue Lang and his group encountered an ambush by the Hunter’s Guild; many vampires were killed, and Xue Lang barely escaped with his life.

Just when Xue Lang thought he had escaped the disaster, Xue ng appeared, pointing a gun loaded with wooden bullets at him, and in that mont revealed that she was the mole, the reason their mission failed and they were ambushed.

“Why, why would you betray ?” Xue Lang roared hysterically.

He detested traitors, especially those who rekindled his emotions, the pain was often deeper.

Tears streaming, Xue ng, full of grief and anger, revealed the truth.

It turned out, when Xue ng was very young, she witnessed her family being hard by vampires.

This instilled an intense hatred for vampires and a resolve to annihilate all vampires to avenge her family.

Naturally, Xue ng’s family was also Xue Lang’s descendants, aning his own bloodline died at the hands of vampires, bringing a wave of lancholy inside Xue Lang.

Shaking his head and mocking himself with a laugh, Xue Lang opened his arms, ready to face it all.

For the first ti, he felt he should take responsibility for the wrongs he committed.

Xue ng’s tear-filled eyes, full of hatred, ultimately couldn’t pull the trigger; in the end, she spared Xue Lang because he had genuinely treated her well, truly like family.

Xue Lang didn’t say anything; he just indifferently walked past Xue ng.

His feelings were complicated at the mont, unsure whether to treat Xue ng as an enemy or as family.

The mission failed, and upon returning to Organization X, Xue Lang was severely punished.

However, he did not disclose that Xue ng was the mole, perhaps giving Xue ng a chance was his way of giving himself a chance.

Since then, Xue Lang deliberately avoided Xue ng to escape the awkwardness should they et and not know how to face each other.

Three years later, Xue Lang saw Xue ng again; by then she was married and had a lovely daughter.

Looking at such a sweet little girl and thinking she was his descendant, he couldn’t help but feel happy; during that ti, living under the sa roof with Xue ng and her child, it really felt like family, reawakening all his emotions.

However, the good days didn’t last long.

Organization X discovered that Xue ng was the mole, and they captured her and her daughter.

Organization X was unaware of the relationship between Xue Lang and Xue ng, and thought that Xue Lang was also deceived, but they ordered Xue Lang to personally finish off Xue ng and her daughter.

At that ti, Xue Lang was in trendous pain; he felt reluctancy and attachnt, but if he didn’t comply, he feared he too would be dealt with by Organization X.

After much hesitation, Xue Lang still decided to take the drastic action; this attachnt was sothing he could let go of.

He strangled Xue ng, afraid that Xue ng might say sothing excessive.

Xue Lang could never forget the mont he was strangling Xue ng, the angry and remorseful look in her eyes, as if she regretted sparing Xue Lang in the past, as if she made a mistake in trusting him, should never have treated him like family.

Xue Lang also could never forget the sight of the little girl crying bitterly on the ground after Xue ng fell; it caused a slight pain in his heart.

Under the close watch of Organization X, Xue Lang ultimately had to cruelly eliminate the little girl too, his hands drenched in blood trembled once again.

“Thanks to Organization X, my last bit of emotion has also been stripped away.” At this mont, Xue Lang’s thoughts detached from these past mories, he sighed to the sky, stabilized his emotions, then thought about what to do next.

Help Organization X?

What a joke, a vampire who lived long can lose everything, what loyalty is there to speak of.

“Good luck, Gu Fan, this ti I support you.” Xue Lang’s mouth curved up, instead looking forward to Gu Fan completely destroying Organization X, as without anyone to restrain the vampires, it would actually be a good thing.

Suddenly, the walkie-talkie in Xue Lang’s hand buzzed to life, it was Helen’s voice, passing on Xue Dong’s instructions to rally all able vampires for a counterattack.

Xue Lang hesitated, then decided to head to the rally point, curious to see what kind of last-ditch effort Xue Dong and Helen could make at this point.

Thinking of Helen, Xue Lang overlapped Helen’s image with that of Xue ng.
