Chapter 9: Chapter 9 Teaching, Guiding, Intensifying (2)
“Increase the intensity?” Carly’s head was in a bit of a whirl, she looked at Lucien, her lips moved, but she didn’t know what to say.

Lucien’s lips curved slightly as he watched Carly, who was still sowhat dazed, and chuckled, “Alright, don’t just stand here looking silly, go wash your face. We still haven’t completed today’s teaching tasks.”
“Oh, okay…” Carly’s face turned slightly red; she hurriedly wiped her little cheeks, then scampered off.
Lucien just smiled and closed his eyes, quietly organizing his thoughts for the upcoming teaching session.
With the Greybone ditation thod as the foundation, understanding the revised version wasn’t hard. At least Lucien himself felt that the progress of learning the revised version should be much faster than just now.
Carly returned with so water stains still on her face.
“Wipe your face first.” Lucien casually pointed to the towel beside him, and after Carly was seated, he began to explain the Greybone ditation thod, Revised.
Carly listened very carefully and smoothly, for many of the things Lucien was explaining were just being mastered by her, so there were few points of confusion. Moreover, Lucien deliberately broke down and fine-tuned the additional parts, explaining them to her in detail, which allowed Carly to grasp them quickly, without even needing Lucien to stop and re-explain certain points.
Of course, this was also because of the foundational Greybone ditation thod.
“Alright, try to get an overall understanding, then try it out yourself, and we’ll continue,” Lucien advised Carly after explaining the entire ditation thod, feeling a bit parched, then lifted his cup and gulped down half a glass of water.
If you haven’t tried it, you won’t know that teaching students is truly laborious.
“Thank you, Wizard,” Carly said softly, then began to quietly organize and gather the new ditation thod, afterward closing her eyes and entering a ditative state.
[Your student Carly has learned the Greybone ditation thod, Revised, congratulations on comprehending the Greybone ditation thod, Revised II!]
System notifications popped up on the panel in front of Lucien.
Afterward, just like the feeling of receiving knowledge before, Lucien’s mind quickly conjured up a new ditation thod.
“As expected,” Lucien thought, pleased, but he quickly started to sort through this new thod.
Soon, he gained a certain understanding of this ditation thod.
Like the second version which originated from the Greybone ditation thod, this ditation thod was derived from the second version. In many details, it was seven or eight parts similar to the second version, having removed so parts and supplented others from the second version’s foundation.
If one were to continue the analogy with painting, it would be akin to revising the initial sketch by erasing so bold strokes, then adding many fine details, and finally, painting it with colors.
In terms of the final effect, the newest ditation thod could solidify up to 360 spiritual runes, which, compared to the 108 spiritual runes that the Greybone ditation thod could solidify, is more than three tis as many.
This was a qualitative change.
However, the difficulty of the latest version of the ditation thod had also seen a significant increase compared to the one just now.
Lucien felt that even if he could explain the knowledge points to Carly tirelessly, it would still take her at least two to three days to fully understand and master them on her own.
anwhile, Carly, in a state of ditation, suddenly shuddered. Her emotions fluctuated so greatly due to her excitent that she imdiately broke out of her ditative state.
“Hmm?” The noise Carly made naturally attracted Lucien’s attention as well.
“It’s… it’s nothing,” Carly said, but the shock in her heart was beyond words.
For just as she had tried to use the new ditation thod that her ntor Lucien had taught her to perceive the free-floating Magic Essence around her, she actually managed to vaguely sense a great amount of the Magic Essence that lingered in the air.
Although the Perception was not very clear and sowhat blurry, she had to recognize that, just a mont ago, when she was attempting to perceive the Magic Essence, it felt as though she was groping blindly in the dark, occasionally sensing one or two particles of Magic Essence “bumping” into her range of Perception.
And now, she could “see” these particles of Magic Essence, even though still blurry, but this was a qualitative change.
This was like a blind person regaining their sight, would they care if they were nearsighted upon first seeing the light again?
At this mont, Carly was engulfed in that kind of emotion, and she even had trouble maintaining the most basic state of ditation because she was so overexcited after “catching” a bit of Magic Essence with her consciousness.
However, when Carly looked at Lucien, who was all calm, the excitent in her heart was temporarily suppressed, replaced by an intense feeling of gratitude.
With the comparison at hand, Carly understood just how precious the second set of ditation thods her ntor had taught her was. Not to ntion, in Carly’s eyes, this ditation thod had given her hope to continue on the path of a Wizard.
“ntor Lucien…” Carly’s emotions fluctuated wildly, causing her to beco tearful once again.
Lucien, sowhat helplessly, pinched the bridge of his nose.
Are you really made of water?
[Your student Carly feels grateful toward you, adoration value

The complaints in Lucien’s mind abruptly ceased.
Well, this water, it brings fortune.
“No crying!” Lucien said sternly as he looked at Carly, for if she were to continue crying, it would be endless, and how could he continue with the educational work?
Those who understood would know he had taken a student, but those who did not might think he had adopted a daughter.
Carly blinked hard, feeling sowhat embarrassed. She lowered her head and cautiously observed Lucien’s expression.
After confirming that her ntor was not really angry, Carly started to smile naively again.
“Co on, we haven’t finished yet,” Lucien said, looking at Carly’s alternating crying and laughing, his lips slightly curling up. However, he kept a stern face, signalling Carly to adjust quickly, “Hurry up now, you should have a good understanding of the ditation thod by now; we’re going to raise the difficulty level!”
Carly was startled, her beautiful eyes widening.
Huh?
Raising… the difficulty?
Carly thought of the aning behind the “increase in intensity” that ntor Lucien had ntioned before, and hearing a similar term now made her blink rapidly.
She felt like she must have misunderstood sothing. But seeing that Lucien wore an expression that did not seem to be joking, Carly’s face gradually transitioned from the laughter of monts before to a more serious look, and her little mouth slowly opened into a perfect “O” shape.
