Chapter 60: Chapter 57: Alchemy Upgrade, The System’s “Backdoor” (Two in One)_2

After Lucien’s reminder, Carly quickly started to check the basic runes that Lucien planned to engrave.

“Three accelerations… and also resilience and energy storage?” Carly looked up at Lucien, seeming to think of sothing, but she couldn’t quite articulate it.

“Silly. Acceleration, resilience, and energy storage do not conflict with each other. Think again, why would I put an energy storage rune in the very center.” Lucien couldn’t help but knock on Carly’s head as he saw her silly expression.

Carly covered her head, but she also realized so of the secrets within. She hurriedly flipped through her book, then found a design structure in an alchemical wizard formation that was similar to what Lucien was working on.

“So it’s about using the interaction between several alchemical runes to achieve a rapid-firing effect when drawing a bow?” Carly looked at the detailed explanation of the alchemical wizard formation in the book, then at the second-generation hunting bow designed by Lucien, a look of shock in her eyes. “Although no systematic alchemical wizard formation was engraved on the bow, the scattered runes achieved a similar effect…”

Talking to herself, Carly beca sowhat embarrassed and lowered her head.

Just a mont ago, she seed to have questioned ntor Lucien. But now, it appeared that ntor Lucien had really played around with the most basic alchemical runes to great effect.

“Hmm?” Lucien, who was smiling at Carly, seed to have sensed sothing and was slightly startled.

Afterward, he opened his eyes and suddenly realized that he seed to have found a “backdoor” in the system.

He had just received the upgraded alchemy blueprints, but along with the blueprints that were infused into his mind, there was also so content related to alchemy that was involved in the blueprints.

Most of this content he had already mastered, but there was also so knowledge he hadn’t studied yet. And whether or not he had studied it before, after being infused by the system, his understanding of these knowledge modules had reached a much higher level.

If the level of mastery Lucien had through self-study with the Alchemy Note was around 45% to 70%, the knowledge infused by the system now allowed him to reach at least a 90% level of mastery.

The reason it didn’t reach 100% was that the knowledge infused by the system was not very systematic and sowhat scattered, with parts of the related content not being infused affecting the overall level of understanding.

Even so, Lucien felt that this system infusion had saved him at least two to three months of self-study and exploration ti!

“Hmm… it’s possible that in the system’s judgnt, alchemy and a specific alchemical blueprint do not belong to the sa category of knowledge, but there is a very close connection between the two. According to the system’s judgnt, after I teach Carly a piece of knowledge, I automatically master the upgraded knowledge,” Lucien’s eyes slightly lit up.

“So by teaching Carly to design an alchemical blueprint, I unwittingly helped myself accelerate the mastery of related alchemy knowledge. And if I continue teaching this way, my mastery ti for alchemy will undoubtedly be greatly reduced. But more importantly, teaching Carly to master the blueprint of a witch tool is much easier and faster than learning alchemy on my own.” Lucien’s eyes were shining.

This ability arrived just in ti.

After all, what Lucien lacked now were witch tools. Forget about handy witch tools; he didn’t even have a decent combat witch tool.

Even the Thunderbolt Spear he had confiscated from Apollo had been damaged in the battle with Nolian.

It’s important to note that in the combat power breakdown of a third-level wizard apprentice, witch tools and other external items play a very large part.

For instance, during Lucien’s battle with Nolian, if it weren’t for the Thunderbolt Spear, overcoming the abomination’s defenses with Lucien’s own witchcraft attacks would have been very difficult.

However, powerful witch tools suitable for third-level wizard apprentices are in high demand on the market, just like the high-tier potion “Praise of Moonlight.” They are considered extrely valuable and retain their value well. Unless soone is desperately short of magic stones, they would not readily sell such witch tools.

The witch tools sold in alchemy shops are often lower-end, useful perhaps for level one or two wizard apprentices, but not so much for third-level wizard apprentices. After all, the power of the defenses or spells they can withstand or release is sowhat lackluster compared to what third-level wizard apprentices can cast on their own.

This left Lucien in an awkward “blank slate” phase.

Originally, Lucien thought of making a few more “Praise of Moonlight” potions in the next few days to barter with, hoping to exchange for a suitable witch tool.

But now, Lucien had a new plan.

That was to quickly improve his alchemy skills through this newly discovered “backdoor.” Not only would this allow him to retrieve the remaining items in Nolian’s damaged amulet, but he could also tailor a set of suitable witch tools for himself.

This would save magic stones and allow him to obtain witch tools that suited him best. Moreover, revealing them only at critical monts could produce an elent of surprise.
