Chapter 1257: Chapter 643: Facing the Dominator Flesh (Part 2)
Li Ming was originally a bit surprised how Shepherd knew about the Dominator Flesh.
But when he turned to look at the other’s frustrated and helpless expression, he understood roughly and found it sowhat amusing.
Without exposing their thoughts, he nodded and said, “Shepherd is right, which is why I invited you all here.”
This made Graham and the other two surprised and then pensive.
Azure Dragon truly had sothing, and Shepherd hadn’t deceived them; they just didn’t know what it was.
Shepherd was also stunned, not expecting Azure Dragon to give a clear answer.
His throat rolled, sowhat bewildered, since he thought Azure Dragon just wanted to find a few people to research a viable path to bypass that damn Ultimate Gene Seed.
It was only after taking on the task and finding Graham and the others that he realized their minds were tangled, so he took out Genetic Fragnts to hint, and got them here first.
Azure Dragon hadn’t disclosed what kind of so-called “research resources” he had before.
Everything happening now was completely different from what he had anticipated.
“You all seem impatient, so why not go directly to the experintal base?” Li Ming asked.
Nandes and the other two exchanged glances, although Azure Dragon’s external image was very positive and he had a good reputation.
Anduin and others in the Chaotic Star Gap affected by him were targeted by the Three Great Civilizations, and he was willing to co forward to protect them.
However, Nandes was still a bit suspicious and couldn’t help but say, “Shepherd said, my lord, you have the flesh of an Ultimate Life Form.”
“Nandes!” Shepherd ground his teeth; this guy was too much, going beyond vague references to saying it outright now.
Ultimate Life Forms couldn’t be found, so where would the flesh co from?
How did he expect Azure Dragon to answer?
“A creature about to advance to an Ultimate Life Form will do, too,” Graham added, “but the Genetic Fragnts provided by Shepherd aren’t enough.”
Li Ming raised an eyebrow, his voice calm, “You’ll know when you get there.”
“However, there’s one matter that needs to be stated upfront. Once you go to the laboratory, you cannot contact the outside world at will. If you’ve made any insurance asures outside, it’s best to lift them in advance to avoid misunderstandings.”
“If you’re unwilling, you can leave on the spot.”
Confidential research? This made them feel insecure, and it all seed like Azure Dragon was imprisoning them.
But at least they were reassured by Azure Dragon’s reputation, so they didn’t think in the worst direction; otherwise, they wouldn’t have co at the start.
Shepherd kept contemplating in his heart, wondering what was so ticulously guarded by Azure Dragon.
Could it be that he really was so lucky to find a creature nearly evolved into an Ultimate Life Form?
“Let’s go then,” Nandes was the first to respond but didn’t ntion anything about insurance asures.
Li Ming shook his head aningfully and said, “In that case, let’s go.”
“I’ll give you new coordinates, get ready to warp.”
Li Ming’s gaze fell on Shepherd, whose face was changing.
Shepherd actually didn’t want to go; who would’ve thought Azure Dragon would make things so airtight, not allowing even X Level Life Forms like them to contact the outside during the research process, not knowing how long it would take.
Yet even through the tallic visor, he could faintly feel the oppressive gaze of Azure Dragon, knowing he had no room to regret and could only helplessly turn the spacecraft around.
During this ti, Li Ming had already sent people to construct a Star Gate leading to the chanical Court at the location of the Dominator Laboratory.
The technology provided by Anduin was just a small Star Gate, not too difficult to construct.
After several warps through the Royal Court’s internal Star Gate Channel, a majestic experintal base floating in space appeared in their sight.
“The scale is actually so big?”
Through the porthole, Shepherd grew increasingly astonished; the experintal base before him clearly wasn’t built overnight, as Azure Dragon seed to have started preparing long ago.
This reassured him considerably, fearing Azure Dragon might disregard practical conditions and press them for feasible plans.
The ship navigated to the side, rging into the base’s hull, docking on the platform, with a large transport fleet neatly arranged around.
“Not just an empty shell…” Nandes and the other two were also observing constantly, and through various details, they could see the base was extrely well-made, with all kinds of facilities present.
Following Azure Dragon, they proceeded to the interior of the laboratory, taking an elevator to the main experint level, with many laboratories lining the corridor walls.
However, without soone coordinating overall, Li Ming dared not let the base-level lab personnel start working.
“The [Quantum Gene Weaving Instrunt], [Photon Neural Incubation Box], [Biological Superstring Resonance Analysis Device]… all are cutting-edge biological experintal equipnt in the interstellar field…” Graham, with his four-limb compound eyes, pressed against the laboratory glass, staring at its devices.
“[Wormhole Molecular Splitting Instrunt], this is the latest Federation model…” Nandes noticed a large device, and couldn’t help but be amazed, “Lord Azure Dragon can even get this?”
This was used for molecular structure division through micro wormhole folds, sothing they couldn’t even get.
Shepherd clicked his tongue inwardly, the cost of even such a small-scale laboratory was not less than a trillion Star Coins.
And that’s just theoretical pricing; so couldn’t even be bought on the market, considered rare within the Three Great Civilizations.
With such a massive laboratory, it’s unknown how much was invested; the chanic’s capital is truly vast.
“Hmm… these instrunts seem to be in an experintal state, just paused?” Mica observed more ticulously, seeing the operational state of those experintal devices and various scattered samples, noticing the clues.
“Guys, let’s go,” Li Ming reminded, the group feeling unsettled, sensing a strange kind of vibe.
But with Azure Dragon not speaking, they could only follow him further until they reached the end of the corridor, facing a thick tal wall.
“Is this… ‘Zero Alloy’?” Graham suspiciously eyed the wall, his knowledge of tal materials being quite considerable, but he wasn’t fully certain.
Nandes hesitated, “Isn’t it claid that the highest spec tal that can be synthetically created? Only the Federation can manufacture it, and such a large piece…”
“I feel like…” Shepherd covered his heart; besides Azure Dragon, he had the highest evolutionary level among those present.
He could faintly sense behind this wall lurked a deeply frightening aura, distinct from anything he’d felt before, hard to describe.
“Everyone, step back…” said Li Ming, extending his hand against the wall, with a faint buzzing noise sounding.
A fissure manifested in the center of the wall, and for just that brief mont, the four felt as if their breath stalled; it seed a beast was bursting to break free from behind the wall, ready to leap out and tear them apart.
To note, they themselves were X Level Life Forms; even Azure Dragon shouldn’t be able to induce such feelings, as they operated on the sa evolutionary tier.
Yet now, the feeling was an unmistakable suppression that surpassed evolutionary tier.
The fissure on the wall widened, making the four stiff like monkeys left alone with a starving tiger, only able to shiver.
They vaguely saw an intimidating giant figure looming forward.
“Everyone…” Azure Dragon’s sudden voice made everything vanish, no terrifying giant, only silence.
Yet the scene laid before them pushed the four to the brink of madness.
“This… this… this…” Graham was so shocked he couldn’t form words.
The vast space beyond the wall was neatly stacked with various shapes of flesh and limbs, with uneven cut surfaces, each muscle sheathed in a hazy glow.
Nandes trembled all over, his throat rolling as he instinctively stepped forward a few steps, but stopped.
Mica appeared the calst, but the spindle-shaped energy structure in his lower half had nearly collapsed, hard to maintain.
Shepherd was dumbstruck, like a colossal hamr slamd onto his forehead, leaving his mind blank, with only one thought—
Azure Dragon truly has the damn flesh of an Ultimate Life Form in his hand!
